Strawberry, Lime, Cucumber, and Mint Infused Water

In a half-gallon jar, or a 2 quart...

In a half-gallon jar, or a 2 quart pitcher, layer the strawberries, cucumbers, lime slices, and mint leaves with the ice cubes. Fill jar or pitcher with water. Let chill for 10 minutes, and then enjoy!

Fill a glass, bottle, mason jar, pitcher, or carafe...

Fill a glass, bottle, mason jar, pitcher, or carafe with ice, fruit, and herbs. Fill to top with water.

The water will start to take on flavor...

The water will start to take on flavor after about 15 minutes, but wait 30-60 minutes for best results. Refill with more water and ice until fruit flavor is gone.

Flavor waters with fresh fruits and herbs to create infused waters for a healthy, refreshing way to hydrate. 

Fruit-Infused Water

mint (or about 10 mint leaves)

filtered water

lime (sliced)

lemon (sliced)

strawberries (hulled and sliced)

cucumber (sliced)

orange (sliced)

Flavor

Place the fruit and/or herbs of your choice into a clean glass jar with a lid or a glass pitcher. Muddle (or break) up the fruit and herbs a bit with the back of a spoon to help release natural flavors.

Refrigerate

Cover with 4 cups of filtered water and place in refrigerator for at least 3 hours.

Remove

Enjoy within 48 hours for best results. Keeping in mind that after 24 hours, you may want to remove the fruit and herbs to prevent the water from becoming bitter.

This is my go-to refreshing drink after working in the garden all day! It's so refreshing and I always look forward to it.

Put all the ingredients in a pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2-4 hours, or overnight.

Great recipe. We make regular lemonade with 4 lemons cut with skin and blended. Place blended lemons in 9 litres of water and 1/2 kilo of sugar. Let it stand over night then use a strainer to fill bottles (glass is best). Feel free to add mint for extra flavour. Enjoy. We can't make enough with my 3 sons. Can do the same with Oranges.
