Are you more likely to use ground beef or turkey in meatloaf?

This meatloaf was very bland. Ketchup was good so I made more just to give the meat some flavor. Definitely could use some more seasonings.

Made this today using ground turkey instead of beef. It turned out AMAZING. I was little weary about the ketchup but that was also excellent!!!

also I didn’t print out the pages, and saved a tree! I followed the recipe on my phone instead! 👍🏻

This Classic Meatloaf Recipe Will Make You Actually Want to Eat Meatloaf.

I’m loving this Italian Meatloaf with Marinara Parmesan Crust. There’s no fillers in this recipe, just high quality ingredients.

Italian Meatloaf with Marinara Parmesan Crust

onion (finely diced)

garlic (minced)

egg (lightly beaten)

basil

thyme

salt

tsp pepper

parmegiano reggiano (finely grated)

marinara sauce

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Place all ingredients (except the marinara sauce and parmegiano reggiano cheese) into a large bowl. Mix thoroughly with your hands until all of the ingredients are well combined.

Place the meatloaf mixture into a loaf pan, gently pushing down until the top is flat.

Spread one cup of the marinara sauce evenly on the top of the meatloaf. Sprinkle the cheese on top.

Place in the oven and cook for one hour. When done, remove the meatloaf. You'll notice juice has pooled along the sides of the pan. Simply tilt the meatloaf while still in the loaf pan to drain the juice before serving.

Chickpea meatloaf is &quot;meaty&quot; (although meatless) and flavourful, with an incredible smoky maple glaze that will have you salivating for more.

Chickpea Meatloaf with Smoked Maple Glaze

flax eggs (or chia eggs)

carrots (peeled & finely chopped)

onion (finely chopped)

chickpeas

tbsp tamari (or soy sauce if not avoiding gluten)

breadcrumbs

yeast

onion powder

smoked paprika

salt + pepper

vegetable broth

maple syrup

cayenne pepper (optional)

Prepare your flax or chia eggs by combining 2 tablespoons of seeds with 6 tablespoons of water in a small bowl and set aside to thicken. Then line a loaf pan with parchment paper and preheat your oven to 400 degrees F convection bake.

Add the chopped carrots and onion to a skillet and dry sauté for 5-7 minutes, until softened. Add a tablespoon or two of water if needed to prevent sticking.

Meanwhile, add the chickpeas to a large mixing bowl and mash with a fork, without over mashing. You want most of the chickpeas crushed, but no need to make sure every single one is mashed.

Then add the sautéed veggies along with the tamari, chia eggs, breadcrumbs and all the seasoning (but NOT your smoked maple glaze ingredients) to the same bowl and mix well. Make sure to mix thoroughly to distribute the chia eggs and seasoning very well. Then taste and add salt and pepper, if needed.

Pour the mixture into your prepared loaf pan and press down firmly using your hands or a silicone spatural and smooth the top. Bake for 30 minutes and remove from the oven.

While the loaf is baking, combine all the glaze ingredients in a small pot and bring to a medium boil and cook for 10 minutes, whisking often. This will thicken your sauce slightly.

Brush about one third of the glaze over your meatloaf with a silicone brush and return to the oven for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes before transfering to a cuting board. Use the parchment paper to lift and transfer the loaf. Let cool on your cutting board for at least 10 minutes longer, and then slice and serve with the extra glaze.

Classic Meatloaf Recipe

Combine ingredients

Combine ingredients. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large mixing bowl, add the ground beef, onion, garlic, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, oats, milk, parsley, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Using your hands, mix together the ingredients until well combined, but try not to over-mix.

Form loaf

Form a loaf. On a casserole pan or rimmed baking sheet, form the mixture into an approximate 9x5-inch loaf. Alternatively, you can add the mixture to a loaf pan.

Brush glaze

Coat with the glaze. In a small bowl, stir together the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and sugar. Brush it all over the top of the meatloaf.

Cook

Cook. Place the meatloaf in the oven and cook for 50 to 60 minutes, or until the internal temperature has reached 160°F (70°C).

Slice and serve

Slice and serve. Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes. Then, slice it up and serve!

BEST EVER MEATLOAF RECIPE | With the Tastiest Glaze!

This delicious Keto Cheesy Chicken Meatloaf is perfect for dinner, a tasty twist on a classic. It’s moist and loaded with flavor in every bite.

Keto Chicken &amp; Cheese Meatloaf (3g Carbs)

Chicken

Garlic (crushed)

Keto Marinara Sauce

Onion (diced)

Rosemary (finely chopped)

Cheddar Cheese (shredded)

Sweet Paprika (ground)

Salt

Pepper (ground)

Preheat

Preheat oven to 190C/375. Line an 8in loaf tin with parchment paper and set aside.

In a large bowl, add all ingredients, reserving a ½ cup of cheddar and 1 tablespoon of rosemary. Mix well.

Press

Press the mixture into your prepared loaf tin.

Bake for 30 minutes, then remove from the oven and top with the reserved cheddar and rosemary.

Bake

Bake for another 25-30 minutes until browned and cooked through.

Serve

Cut into thick slices and serve with a side of Broccoli Mash.

This has been my GO TO recipe while on Keto. It’s simple and absolutely delicious. The only thing I changed was omitting the rosemary (I’m not a fan). Otherwise, its the perfect comfort food, especially with the colder months coming. I pair it with cauliflower mash and a side salad. Yum, yum, YUM!

We had never made a chicken meatloaf before. We doubled the recipe and used pepper jack cheese and a few spoonfuls of diced tomatoes with green chilies in the recipe. It was so delicious I could eat the whole thing.
