BBQ Cauliflower Wings

Preheat oven to 450°F/230° C.

Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with a silicone baking sheet or greased foil.

Using a knife, remove florets from the cauliflower (aka cut off the leaves and don&#039;t use the most of the stems. You can leave a little piece on at the ends to hold on to). Chop the cauliflower into smaller pieces to resemble the size of the wings.

In a separate bowl, whisk the flour, cornstarch, vegan milk, sea salt, ground black pepper and garlic powder in a bowl to make the batter. If the batter is too thick, feel free to thin it out with some more milk and vice versa. In a separate bowl, place the breadcrumbs. Line it up beside the batter bowl.

Toss the cauliflower in the batter mixture (you can add them all at once), using a spatula or spoon to coat them all. Transfer them to the breadcrumbs (you can do this in two or three batches) to coat completely, then place onto the baking sheet, giving each wing enough space. Repeat until all of the wings are coated.

Bake for 22 minutes. Please ensure your oven is completely preheated and hot.

While baking, prepare the ingredients for the sauce by heating &amp; whisking together. If you’re using store-bought bbq sauce, you may want to sightly thin it out with some water. Heat it up in a pot on the stove, or a large bowl in your microwave until warm.

Remove from oven. Toss the wings in the sauce (I like to use a spatula to move them around to get properly coated) then using tongs or a spoon, remove and place back on the baking sheet OR brush the bbq sauce onto each wings. Bake for another 5 minutes for the sauce to soak into the wings.

Remove from oven and, and garnish with scallions! Eat immediately - enjoy!

These oven baked tofu blocks are perfectly seasoned with Sichuan style spices and have a fantastic tender chewy texture.

Spicy and Crispy Oven Baked Tofu

tbs chili sauce (gluten-free if desired)

Press the tofu: Remove the tofu blocks from the package and place them on the broiler grid and collect the squeezed-out excess water from tofu in the pan. Set a large baking sheet on top of the tofu and weight it down with heavy weights, such as two 64 fl oz juice bottle or something heavy. Leave it set on kitchen counter for 1 hour and then flip the tofu over. Press for an additional hour. You will see a lot of water has collected in the broiler pan in the end.

Marinade the tofu: Slice the tofu in half so each slice is about 1/2”-3/4” thick. Use a mini chopper or coffee grinder to grind all the spices into powder. Combine the powder and the rest of marinade ingredients. Lay a single layer of the sliced tofu in a flat-bottomed refrigerator safe container and pour the marinating sauce onto the tofu. Spread the sauce if necessary to make it evenly coated on each slice of the tofu. Cover with lid and refrigerate overnight to get the best result.

Bake the tofu: Preheat oven to 400 °F. Lightly grease a metal baking sheet or line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the marinated tofu onto the baking sheet in a single layer. Bake 25-30 minutes and turn over halfway through baking.

Remove the baked tofu from oven and transfer them onto a wire cooling rack.

I pressed 1 package of extra firm tofu for 20 mins. You just need to wrap the tofu in paper towels or a dish towel, place on a plate, and lay something heavy on top.

Then cut into cubes and added to a large bowl.

Coated with 1/4 cup hot sauce and garlic.

Add oil to it if your air fryer calls for it.

Add tofu, air fry for 7 minutes, flip, air fry 7-8 more.

Add to a bowl and add another 1/4 cup hot sauce.

Combine bread crumbs, Parmesan, parsley, garlic powder, black pepper and salt on a plate. Add aquafaba to a bowl and place nutritional yeast on a plate. Set aside.

Remove the mashed potatoes from the refrigerator. Using a small cookie scoop, scoop out the potatoes into your hand and roll into the shape of a ball. Place on a plate and repeat until all of the potatoes are used up.

Roll each ball into the nutritional yeast, followed by the aquafaba and then the bread crumb mixture. Place on a plate and continue until all of the balls are coated.

If your brand of air fryer comes with an elevated crisper plate/tray, be sure to insert it into the basket. Lightly grease the crisper plate or bottom of the air fryer basket with a non-propellant olive or avocado oil spray.

Place the potato balls in a single layer in your air fryer basket. Lightly spray the tops of the potato balls with a non-propellant olive or avocado oil spray and air fry at 390° F for 10-15 minutes until the potato balls are golden brown but not burned, lightly shaking the basket 3-4 times during cooking.
