Thick sourdough toast spread with peanut butter, a dollop of coconut yogurt, agave, walnuts and dark chocolate chips. These simple ingredients make for a cozy gourmet toast. 

Peanut Butter and Coconut Yogurt Toast

sourdough bread ((1-inch thick))

peanut butter

tbsp coconut yogurt

tbsp walnuts, chopped ((about 8 walnuts))

tsp chocolate chips

Slice two slices of sourdough bread, each 1-inch in thickness, and toast the slices. Lather each with peanut butter and coconut yogurt. Sprinkle with walnuts and chocolate chips. Drizzle each slice with 1 tsp agave, or to taste.

Cut 8-inch slice of baguette in half, to make two 4-inch pieces. Turn baguette on it's side and cut down the middle to open into two slices, (4 slices total). Toast each slice of baguette until browned.

Lather each toasted slice of baguette with coconut yogurt. Cut strawberries into small pieces and layer on top of toasts. Optional to drizzle with chocolate sauce or honey.

Get creative with your breakfast toast. Adding fruits to your toast is a much healthier alternative to store bought jam and the nut butter will keep you fill. Try this classic peanut butter and banana, or be adventurous with almond butter and kiwi.

Toast bread slices until golden, then lather two slices with peanut butter and the other two with almond butter.

Thinly slice banana and kiwi. Layer banana overtop of peanut butter toast, and kiwi overtop of almond butter toast.
