Granola butter is a vegan, gluten-free and nut-free spread. This easy nut free granola butter recipe produces a smooth spiced spread that is reminiscent of speculoos cookies.

Granola Butter

gluten-free oats

tbsp ground flaxseed

tsp salt

cinnamon

nutmeg

tsp ground ginger

cardamom

cloves

maple syrup

tsp pure vanilla extract

cup(s) avocado or canola oil

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 325&amp;deg;F. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper. Measure and prep all the ingredients for the granola butter.&amp;nbsp;

Step 2

Spread the oats in an even layer on the prepared sheet pan and bake, stirring occasionally, until lightly toasted, about 10 minutes.&amp;nbsp;

Step 3

Transfer the toasted oats into the food processor along with the ground flaxseed. Process, periodically scraping down the sides, until the oats are fine and almost powder-like, about 5 minutes.

Step 4

Add the salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cardamom and cloves. Process until well combined, 2-3 minutes.&amp;nbsp;

Step 5

Add the maple syrup and the vanilla extract and process until well combined, about 4-5 minutes.

Step 6

With the machine on, drizzle in the oil to create an emulsion. (See notes 1.)

Step 7

Store the granola butter in an airtight container in the refrigerator or use immediately. Enjoy!
