Arrange all the ingredients on a large board or platter. If you&#039;re using sauces, place them in small bowls. Garnish with fresh herbs, then serve.

If you want to make this platter in advance, assemble everything on the board except the bread products and fresh herbs. Cover and refrigerate for up to 8 hours. Remove from the refrigerator, uncover, and add bread and herbs. Let stand for 15 minutes, then serve.

How to Make the Ultimate Vegan Cheese Board

cheeses

something salty tomatoes or artichokes

mixed nuts (walnuts, toasted almonds and pecans work really well)

Start by spreading your cheeses and spreads/preserves out on the platter/board. Ideally they should be in different areas of the board to balance it visually. If you have wheels of cheese, cut a wedge or two out of them for decoration.

Cut small slices or chunks from your bread and fan them out with the remaining loaf around the cheeses and spreads/preserves.

Fan the crackers out around the cheeses and spreads in the same way.

If using vegan meats, cut slices of them and fan them out near the crackers.

Place groups of your tangy foods (olives, artichokes etc.) around the board close to the cheeses. Alternatively just place them on the board in their jars.

If using fruits like apples or pears, slice them thinly. If using figs or apricots, slice in half. Create clusters of the different fruits/berries you&#x27;re using and place throughout the cheese board.

Finally, add small clusters of nuts to fill out any bare spaces on the board.

If using, add a couple of sprigs of herbs and colourful veggies to decorate the board.

Place a clean knife next to each cheese, and a small fork/spoon in each jar, and enjoy!

Start by making your selections from each section (salty, sweet, savory, spicy, and for dipping). We chose the following for our board pictured above: Salty: olives and cornichons; Sweet: candied nuts, dates, and fresh fruit; Savory: spicy vegan pimento cheese ball and Treeline’s herb garlic soft cheese; Spicy: vegan pepperoni and charred serrano white bean dip; and For Dipping: Simple Mills almond flour crackers, Whole Foods gluten-free oat and seed crispbreads, rustic French bread, and fresh veggies!

To make the homemade components of the charcuterie board pictured above, we started by making our spicy vegan pimento cheese ball in advance and letting it chill for the minimum time suggested in the recipe (6 hours). Next we made vegan pepperoni and set it aside when it was done. Then we made charred serrano white bean dip and placed it in the refrigerator to chill. Lastly we made candied nuts and cut up the fresh fruits and veggies!

Once you&#39;ve gathered and prepared your components, it&#39;s time to assemble! Grab a wooden tray or cutting board (or a parchment-lined baking sheet). You want it to be big enough to fit everything but small enough that your snacks look abundant, not sparse.

Place your snacks on the board in order from largest to smallest. Start with any bowls or dishes for snacks (like olives and hummus) and space them out on the board so you can place smaller snacks in between. Then fill in the extra space with &quot;loose&quot; snacks, like veggies and crackers. Our favorite trick is to place stackable snacks (like cucumbers and vegan pepperoni) in curves or around the dishes. All that&#39;s left is to get your snack on!

Best when fresh. Store leftover components in the refrigerator covered on the board or separately for up to 1-2 days.

Using a clean wine glass, place sliced meat over the rim of the glass so that it creates a layer that covers all of the rim and overlaps each other. This usually needs only 3 to 4 slices and will be the layer with the least amount of sliced meats.

Add a second row of sliced meat so that it overlaps the first layer of meat covering the "seams" with a fresh piece of meat. 

Continue the same process for 4 to 6...

Continue the same process for 4 to 6 layers until you are happy with the size of the rose.
