Greek Chicken Meatballs - a simple and delicious dinner that is packed with flavor! The creamy Tzatziki Sauce (which is Paleo/Whole30) just brings this whole dish to the next level!

Greek Chicken Meatballs

Primal Kitchen Mayo*

cucumber, diced

lemon juice

garlic, minced

salt

black pepper

dill

mint

cherry tomates, halved

English cucumber

kalamata olives

red onion, diced

Primal Kitchen Greek Vinaigrette

chicken

almond flour

oregano

basil

onion powder

garlic powder

mint,

Combine

Combine ingredients in small food processor.

Pulse

Taste

Refrigerate

Tzatziki Sauce

Combine ingredients in medium mixing bowl.

Add salt and Primal Kitchen Greek Vinaigrette.

Set Aside

Salad

Combine ground chicken, egg, almond flour, salt, oregano, basil, dill, onion powder, garlic, pepper and mint in a medium mixing bowl. Stir to fully combine.

Scoop

Use a cookie dough scoop to scoop out approx. 1 1/2 tablespoons of meatball mixture, forming a ball, and place on a large plate.  Continue until all of the meatball mixture is used. (See Notes)

Skillet

Take large/medium cast iron skillet and bring to medium-high heat. Add a tablespoon of oil and use a spatula to spread evenly to coat the pan.  Add chicken meatballs and sear on all sides, about 3 minutes.

Continue Cooking

Turn down heat and continue cooking, about 10-15 minutes or until fully cooked (165 internal temperature – I recommend using a meat thermometer).

Bowl

Place cooked chicken meatballs into a medium/large bowl and pour the Primal Kitchen Greek Vinaigrette on top. Toss to coat.

Serving

My whole family loves this recipe (including my picky 2 year old who frequently won’t eat dinner!). I have been doubling the amount for the meatballs so everyone can eat what the want and I still have leftovers for the next day!

Made this for the first time last night and LOVED it.  First let me say, I didn't use the mint. My personal shopper (husband) didn't get it.  It was still delicious.  It was very easy, since the different parts are prepared separately. I get overwhelmed if there are too many things happening at once.  We ate it all and we used the leftover tzatziki today on salads with other proteins. We'll probably be using it for salads regularly from now on.

I usually use ground turkey because it’s easier for me to find, but they always turn out flavorful and moist - nobody likes a dry meatball! I always make a double batch because they’re even better the next day. This has become one of my favorite meals to make!

Absolutely delicious. Just made it today. It’s a keeper. I did make homemade vinaigrette instead of purchasing it.

This is possibly one of the best things I’ve ever made. I used bread crumbs in place of the almond flour and I added fresh mint, green bell pepper and crumbled feta to the salad. I paired this with another recipe I found for Greek lemon rice. I got lazy and used a store bought tzatziki but it all still turned out so good! Better than any restaurant. Will definitely make again!

These meatballs were delicious. I am not doing whole 30 (I probably should lol) but I got the almond flour and primal kitchen green dressing and it tasted great. I even had leftovers for lunch the next day! I was too lazy to make the tzatziki (usually if I make I like it with Greek yogurt, cucumber lemon dill garlic but I assume that is not whole 30 compliant) so I bought some ore made at Aldi and used a little.  Taste great with basmati, olives, feta and cucumber and flat bread too. Thank you for the recipe!!

I made this dish last night. It was so delicious it will be on a weekly rotation. I’m just a green food lover and the flavors are spot on to all the things I crave in Greek food. The fresh mint and dill to name a few.

These meatballs come out perfect every time- and we have made them a ton! I love the lighter/softer texture of the ground chicken along with the plethora of spices, dry and fresh. I have made them sans the Greek dressing and added a bit of oil and vinegar and they still were moist and tender.  The tzatziki is devoured over here - our family drenches the meatballs and doesn’t waste a lick.  The side Greek salad is bright and crunchy which complements the tender meatballs and creamy tzatziki. This is on a bi-weekly rotation b/c family members buy the ingredients to motivate me to make it! Love this, Erin!

Greek Chicken Meatballs - a flavorful and delicious weeknight dinner you will want to make again and again! 

Greek Chicken Meatballs are a light meatball seasoned with lemon zest, garlic, feta cheese, and oregano. Served in a refreshing cucumber yogurt sauce, these are great as dinner or even as a party appetizer. 

For the chicken meatballs1

For the Cucumber Sauce2 dill

Start by preheating your oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with foil and place a baking rack on top, spray the baking rack with cooking spray so the meatballs don&#8217;t stick. Prep the cucumber by peeling it, removing the seeds, then grating it on the box grater. Place the shredded cucumber in a strainer in the sink and sprinkle with a little salt. Let this rest for 20 minutes.

While the cucumber is resting, begin to make the meatballs. In a large bowl combine the ground chicken, grated garlic, egg, Panko, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, feta cheese, and lemon zest. Form into meatballs, about the size of a golf ball, place on the baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes.

After the cucumber has rested 20 minutes, squeeze as much of the water out as you can, then place into your blender or blending device. Add the yogurts, garlic cloves, the 1/4 teaspoon salt, lemon zest, and dill. Blend until smooth.
To serve, sprinkle the meatballs with more crumbled feta cheese and the cucumber yogurt dipping sauce and enjoy!

These delicious Greek Chicken Meatballs are full of flavor, so easy to make, and are perfect for a quick weeknight dinner. Serve the meatballs with a generous scoop of homemade tzatziki and your favorite veggies!

Add the meatball ingredients to a small mixing bowl and use your hands to mix until well combined. Next, use a cookie dough scoop or tablespoon to scoop out the chicken mixture and use your hands to form into meatballs.

When the meatballs are formed, heat a large skillet over medium heat and then add a tablespoon of oil. Next add the meatballs to the hot skillet and cook for roughly 3-4 minutes per side until browned and the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit. You may have to do this in batches depending on the size of your skillet.

Serve the meatballs over chopped romaine lettuce with feta, cucumber, tomato, rice, and tzatziki sauce.

Tried this for my picky family tonight, they loved it! Will be adding to regular rotation.

This recipe is SO good. Definitely not a weeknight meal, as it takes quite some time to assemble the meatballs, but SO worth it! Next time I make, I think I'll double the meatballs and freeze half. Can't wait to try again!
