Crispy halloumi fries are the ultimate appetiser or snack.  These fries are so easy to make - all you need is 5 ingredients and 15 minutes!  No deep fryer required - just shallow fry these halloumi fries in a frying pan at home for an irresistible treat.

Mix flour, paprika and cumin together on a plate, then roll the fries in the mixture until evenly coated.  Shake off any excess.

Heat just enough oil to cover the bottom of your frying pan on medium heat, then carefully add half the fries to the pan and fry for a few minutes each side until golden brown and crispy.  Remove from the pan and place on a plate lined with paper towel.  Repeat the process with the remaining fries.

The BEST Crispy Halloumi Fries (+ Air Fryer Option)

Cut halloumi into fry shapes.

Cut the halloumi cheese into roughly equal sized ‘fries’. Mine are about 1.5cm in thickness and I get 12 fries out of one block of cheese.

Roll in flour.

Heat up oil. Lower fries into oil.

Heat up the oil in a small to medium-sized saucepan until the end of the ‘fry’ dipped into it sizzles. Then, carefully lower the fries into the oil.

Fry until golden and crispy.

Fry for a few minutes on each side or until golden and crunchy-looking (flip over with a fork). You might have to do this in 2 or more batches.

Remove from hot oil and serve.

Remove carefully from the oil with a slotted spoon and serve immediately with the dips.
