A simple and really tasty fishcake recipe that's easy for the kids to help out with. This is recipe is just as delicious made with tinned tuna, or you could swap the regular potatoes for a few sweet potatoes. Have fun!

This recipe is incredibly versatile – use whichever fish you like (as long as it's sustainable) and add any herbs to the crumb. A fine grating of Parmesan makes a nice addition, too. It doesn’t matter if your bread is a bit stale, it’ll still work fine. And if you haven’t got any bread you can use four smashed-up cream crackers instead.

I wanted to get into more creative seafood recipes since it seemed like all I knew how to cook in the seafood world was grilled salmon. I searched for healthy fish recipes and came across this list. Wow did I strike gold. I have gone through over half of the recipes on this list and have yet to be disappointed. Each dish has so much flavor with such simple and fresh ingredients. My favorites have to be the Chimichurri Shrimp, the Brazilian Stew with Chilean Sea bass, and then the Caribbean Shrimp Tacos with Mango Slaw.

A super-simple whole baked fish with hot horseradish, zesty lemon and herbs - parsley, dill and thyme all work well

Simple herb-baked trout & horseradish

<p>Heat oven to 220C/200C fan/gas 7. Lay the trout over a lightly oiled baking tray and stuff the fish cavity with slices of lemon and herbs. Season generously all over and drizzle with the remaining oil.</p>

<p>Bake in the oven for 20 mins until the fish is cooked through – the eyes will have turned white and the flesh will be soft to touch. The trout can be served as they are with your favourite seasonal vegetables, but for an added extra touch, peel away the top layer of skin and grate over fresh horseradish before serving.</p>

This mighty recipe is a real celebration of seafood, and for me it ticks every box. The parcels seal in all the amazing Asian flavours, and you’re left with a dish that’s gorgeously fragrant and seriously satisfying. What a joy!

Oven grilled fish - This method is one of the easiest, for whenever grilling fish outside is not possible this oven method is healthy, quick and delicious.

Oven Grilled Fish

Salt and black pepper

Score the surface of the fish with a sharp knife in 3 or 4 places, to help the flavors penetrate better. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, lemongrass and herbs if used, on all the sides of the fish as well in the inside. Place them into a bowl, cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.

Preheat oven to 450F (230C), grill function.

Place the fish over the rack of the oven and place the rack on a baking tray lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil, &nbsp;so all the grease can drip there. Sprinkle a little butter or vegetable oil over the fish. Place in the preheated oven.

Let the fish cook for about 20-30 minutes or until the skin is crispy and a bit golden. Make sure you keep an eye on it as you don&#39;t want to let it burn.

Meanwhile prepare the sour cream mixture, by combining sour cream with minced garlic and salt.

Remove the fish form the oven and serve with the sour cream mixture, some lemon sauce or simply some lemon slices alongside you favorite side dish.

Peel the potatoes and cut into 2cm chunks, then boil for around 15 minutes, or until tender. Add the eggs for the last 8 minutes (if using).

Meanwhile, make the sauce. Melt the butter in a heavy-bottomed pan over a low heat and stir in the flour. Add the bay, then bit by bit, add the stock and the milk, stirring after every addition until you have a smooth, silky sauce. Bring to the boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes, or until thickened.

Stir in the mustard, grate in half the cheese, then squeeze in the lemon juice. Pick, finely chop and stir in the parsley (if using), then keep stirring until the cheese is melted. Season with a little black pepper, then remove from the heat.

Get yourself a 25cm x 30cm baking dish. Check that there aren’t any stray bones lurking in the fish fillets, then slice into 2.5cm chunks and spread them evenly over the base of the dish.

Wilt and add the spinach, then peel, quarter and add the eggs (if using). Remove the bay leaves, then pour over the white sauce and allow to cool slightly.

Drain the potatoes well and mash with a little extra virgin olive oil, a splash of milk and a few scrapings of nutmeg. Spoon the potatoes over the pie and scuff up the surface with a fork.

Grate the remaining Cheddar over the top and bake in the oven for 45 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through, the sauce is bubbling up at the sides and the top is golden.

Delicious served with lots of green veg, or if you’re Jamie, with baked beans!
