Rich, creamy chicken korma is usually forbidden territory if you’re watching your weight, but we’d hate you to miss out so we’ve come up with our healthy chicken curry recipe. Add extra chilli if you like.

The Hairy Bikers' chicken korma

boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 600 grams/1lb 5 ounces)

Cajun chicken is a great recipe to prep ahead for busy evenings, leaving you set up for a super tasty and quick dinner. Serve with a simple green salad.

Now this is a chicken burger we can get behind. Fresh herbs and hot sauce give the ranch dressing for this lighter burger extra punch.

Salmon is a great fish to use in a quiche due to its relatively high fat content so you don’t need to worry about overcooking it. The wholemeal crust provides a lovely nutty taste and slight crunch.

For this recipe you will need a 24cm/9½in, 3cm/1¼in deep quiche tin.

Salmon and broccoli quiche

80 grams/2¾oz light vegetable spread,

While undoubtedly you can make the best restaurant-style French fries by cooking frozen chips in an air fryer, you can also produce delicious chunky, chip-shop-style chips made entirely from scratch. Any potato will work but waxy varieties are best for this recipe, and if you have any leftover potatoes where the skins are starting to go soft these will taste almost exactly like they came from the local chippy.

Cassoulet is a hearty dish but with a few little tweaks we’ve reduced the calorie count while keeping the big flavours. Choose really meaty sausages and gammon, take the skin off the chicken and use a very small amount of oil – it all helps.
