These easy to make restaurant quality Hibachi Noodles are always a family favorite! Sear these tasty noodles off using a grill top griddle after cooking your meats so that the noodles pick up that &#039;just grilled&#039; taste from your hibachi chicken, beef, or seafood!!

Hibachi Noodles

Tbsp sesame seed oil

Tbsp olive oil ((extra virgin))

c rice cooking wine

soy sauce

lb yakisoba, lo mein

black pepper

butter

Tbsp garlic ((minced))

Tbsp ginger ((minced))

Tbsp teriyaki sauce

mirin ((or 2 Tbsp sugar))

sesame seeds ((optional, garnish))

Combine ingredients in a jar or squeeze bottle that you can seal with a lid to shake up the contents, and for storing any unused portion (if desired).

Shake container before using to cook hibachi style foods, such as these hibachi noodles, rice, vegetables, chicken, steak, or seafood.

Hibachi Cooking Oil

Cook, drain and rinse noodles. Drizzle with sesame seed oil, then lightly season with a couple turns of your black pepper grinder (or sprinkle with a pinch of ground pepper). Toss noodles and set aside.

In a wok or large frying pan, bring the wok to medium heat. Add 1/4 cup of the hibachi cooking oil, butter, garlic and ginger.

Saute the garlic and ginger while the butter melts and until the garlic is tender, about 2-3 minutes. Add the pasta, teriyaki, and mirin. Fry the noodles until they are heated through, turning occasionally, for about 2 minutes.

Use additional hibachi cooking oil as needed, sprinkle with sesame seeds when serving.

Best Homemade Japanese Hibachi Noodles Recipe

teriyaki sauce

dry noodles (or linguine pasta)

Cook the dry noodles in salted water as per the package directions. Cook the noodles al dente. If they are overcooked, the final dish will become soggy.

Note – You can cook the noodles in advance to fasten the process. Once cooked, drain the water and toss the cooked noodles in 2 teaspoon vegetable oil to prevent them from sticking to each other. You can refrigerate them in an air-tight container for upto 4 days.

Cook The Noodles

Stir together soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, and mirin in a bowl and set aside.

Make The Sauce

Heat butter and sesame oil in a pan over high heat.

Once they are hot, add onions, ginger, and garlic and saute for 2-3 minutes until they are lightly browned.

Now add the sauce mixture and cooked noodles to the pan and toss to coat the noodles with the sauce.

Add salt and ground pepper and toss well.

Check for salt and add more if required.

Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and serve immediately.

Hibachi Noodles (Japanese Steakhouse Noodles)

spaghetti

vegan butter

2 and 1/2 tablespoons, fresh garlic, finely chopped

teriyaki sauce* (see notes)

Tamari, I use sodium reduced Tamari

dark soy sauce*

mirin*

Toasted Sesame seeds

lemon

salt and white or black pepper

Noodles: Cook pasta according to directions in a large pot. Add a drizzle of oil and a good pinch of salt to boiling cooking water. Cook noodles in plenty of water to avoid gummy starchy noodles. Drain and add back to the pot off the heat, or a serving bowl, set aside.

Sauce: While noodles are cooking, add butter and Garlic to a small microwave safe bowl. Cook for 1 minute or so. Then stir in the rest of the sauce ingredients. Sauce is made!

Assemble: Pour sauce over hot cooked noodles, toss to combine

Enjoy: Serve immediately and enjoy with any of the optional toppings mentioned above. (I personally prefer mine straight up and without sesame oil but that's just me) For photos, tips, suggestions and more see above post.

My kids loved these! I sautéed a few veggies for our bowls! The sauce would taste great with anything! Noodles. Veggies. Rice! This sauce should be bottled and sold! Just delicious!

Thank you for this recipe.  I love it! I'm Japanese and am familiar with these ingredients (soy sauce, mirin etc) but never thought of mixing them like this for noodles.  It was easy, ready really in 15 mins, and soooo good.  I think will make it many times!
