This Christmas Sangria is made with red wine, fruit juices, brandy, soda, and fruit for a delicious big-batch cocktail that's perfect for parties.

Christmas Sangria

ml Merlot (or red wine of choice)

cranberry juice

orange juice

simple syrup

blackberry brandy

Chambord

lemon-lime soda

oranges oranges, (sliced)

cranberries

cinnamon

rosemary sprigs, (for garnish)

Combine all ingredients except for the soda and ice together in a large pitcher and chill in the fridge for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.

Add the ice and soda just before serving and garnish with rosemary sprigs for a festive presentation.

Cranberry Sangria aka Devil's Sangria

ml merlot

Cointreau (or any orange liqueur)

sparkling water

ice (if desired)

Pour the merlot in a pitcher, add the cranberry juice, Cointreau and the cranberries, stir well.

Put the mixture in the fridge for at least 4 hours, but preferably overnight.

Remove the mixture from the fridge and add the sparkling water. Stir well. Add ice if desired.

Serve with a big old Sangria loving smile!

Remember to allow your Sangria to rest for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, before serving!

apple cider (plus more for topping off)

green apple (sliced)

green pear (sliced)

rosemary sprigs and star anise (for garnishing)

Slice and Mix

Thinly slice the apple and pear. You can use a knife or mandoline. Then pour the wine, sparkling apple cider, cranberries, apple slices, and pear slices into a large pitcher. You can layer them or simply mix them all in. Refrigerate the sangria for at least 4 hours, or overnight to let the flavors meld together.

Serve

Serve the sangria in individual glasses over ice and top off with fresh sparkling apple cider.

Garnish

Garnish with rosemary sprigs, and star anise before serving.
