Bisquick is a staple in many pantries but it&#x27;s so easy to make your own! This Homemade Bisquick Mix is made with 4 ingredients in just 5 minutes and is also shelf-stable. This easy recipe is great to have on hand to make homemade pancakes, waffles, and biscuits! It makes breakfast and brunch so much easier in the mornings!

Homemade Bisquick Mix

all-purpose flour

Tablespoons baking powder

salt

Combine all ingredients in a large food processor. Pulse for about 15 seconds until the shortening is cut into the flour and evenly dispersed. You may need to work in batches using half of the ingredients at a time.

Transfer to an airtight container and use in any recipe that calls for Bisquick mix in equal amounts. Can be stored at room temperature, or in the fridge or freezer for up to 6 months.

Mixing in Bowl:

Whisk together flour, baking powder and salt

Cut butter into flour mixture using a pastry blender or fork

Transfer to airtight container and store in refrigerator for up to 3 months

Food Processor Method:

Add flour, baking powder and salt to food processor

Pulse to combine

Add butter and pulse until mixture is coarse and resembles cornmeal

Biscuits: makes 8 using a 2.5 inch cutter

Use 1 ½ cups homemade bisquick

Use ½ cup milk

Lightly spray cookie sheet with non-stick cooking spray

Preheat oven to 400 degrees

Combine ingredients in a medium bowl until soft dough forms

Knead dough until well combined

On a lightly floured surface, roll dough out with a rolling pin to about ½ inch thick and cut with a round cookie cutter

Alternatively, drop by tablespoons onto greased baking sheet

Bake for 7-9 minutes or until golden brown
