Homemade Celery Salt--2 Ways (and how to use it)

Put celery seed in grinder. See notes above about grinder options.

Grind celery seed to desired consistency.

Mix with salt.

Store in a closed jar in a cool, dark place.

Homemade Celery Salt

Tbsp celery seed

Finely grind the celery seed using a spice grinder (or your coffee grinder works wonderfully!) or a mortar and pestle.

Mix the ground celery seed with 2 parts of salt. Store in an airtight container with your spices in a pantry or cupboard.

Put your leftover celery leaves in use to prepare this amazing homemade celery salt! This salt is a fantastic blend used in various savory dishes and works as a flavor enhancer.

Himalayan pink salt

Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.

Wash celery leaves and dry with a towel.

Spread celery leaves on a prepared baking sheet in a single layer.

Bake for 20-25 minutes or until completely dehydrated and crumbly but not burned.

Remove from the oven and cool celery leaves.

Place celery leaves into a dry blender or spice mill and process.

Add salt and stir.

Store in a glass jar with a fitted lid in a dark, dry place.
