Everything Bagel Chicken Tenders

chicken breast tenders

milk

flour

bread panko

everything bagel seasoning blend

paprika

olive oil spray

Dipping sauces, (for serving)

Preheat oven to 425˚F.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil; set aside.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together egg and milk. Set aside.

In another mixing bowl or plate, combine flour, breadcrumbs, everything bagel seasoning, and paprika.

Dip chicken tenders, one at a time, into the bread mixture; then, dip into the egg mixture, pull up the chicken and let excess egg drip off. Finally, roll it in the breading mixture one more time.

Place the breaded chicken tenders on previously prepared baking sheet.

Spray olive oil evenly over the chicken tenders.

Bake for 10 minutes.

Flip the chicken over, spray with cooking oil, and continue to cook for 8 more minutes, or until golden brown, and internal temperature registers at 165˚F.

Remove from oven and let stand couple minutes.

Serve chicken tenders with your favorite dipping sauce.

Chicken Parm Dippers

lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts,

kosher salt

black pepper

c. panko bread crumbs

oregano

garlic powder

c. Parmesan

eggs

c. all-purpose flour

Canola oil,

c. mozzarella

c. marinara

tbsp. thinly sliced fresh basil

On a large plate, season chicken with salt and pepper. Meanwhile, prepare breading station with three large mixing bowls: one bowl with bread crumbs, oregano, garlic powder, and Parmesan mixed with a fork; another with eggs and 1 tablespoon water, beaten; and the third with flour. Coat each piece of chicken in flour and shake off excess, then dip into egg and coat in bread crumb mixture. Repeat steps for remaining chicken and set aside on a plate.

Heat broiler and prepare a rimmed sheet pan with parchment paper. In a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat, add 1" oil. When pan is hot but not smoking add breaded chicken in batches. Cook until golden brown, 1 to 2 minutes per side. Transfer to sheet pan and season with salt and pepper.

Spread chicken tenders in a single layer and cover with mozzarella. Broil until cheese is melted and bubbling, 3 to 5 minutes. Meanwhile, warm marinara in a small sauce pan.

Serve tenders with a side of marinara and garnish with basil.

If you want a fun and easy meal that whips up quick you have to make these Homemade Chicken Tenders. The whole family will love them.

Homemade Chicken Tenders

chicken

all purpose flour

tsp baking powder

tsp kosher salt

tsp black pepper

buttermilk

hot sauce

In a medium-sized bowl add the flour, baking powder, salt, pepper, and garlic powder, mix together well and set aside. In another medium-sized bowl add the buttermilk, egg, and hot sauce, whisk together until fully combined.

Place about 3 inches of oil into a heavy bottom skillet with deep sides, I also like to use a dutch oven for this. Bring the oil up to temperature over medium-low heat. Oil temperature should be around 325°F.

While the oil is heating, dredge the chicken tenders by placing the tenders one at a time into the flour mixture. Coat the tender well, shake off any excess flour. Dip the tender into the buttermilk mixture, allowing any excess to drip off. Place the tender back into the flour mixture and coat well, pat the flour down onto the tender to form a good crust.

Once the oil is ready, carefully place the tenders into the hot oil, do not crowd the pan, you will have to do this in batches. Cook for 3-5 minutes on each side, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F and they are golden brown and crispy. Place on a wire rack while you fry the rest of the tenders.

I made these chicken tenders tonight for dinner and let me tell you they are the very best chicken tenders I have ever had by far from a restaurant or homemade and so moist and tender they are real pretty golden brown not a hard golden brown but soft and tender I even had to substitute the buttermilk with 3/4  sour cream they turned out amazing

Use flour with seasonings for first dredge. Then dip in egg/milk mixture. Add panko to the flour for final dredge. Awesome!

If you want to change it up add sesame oil and red crushed pepper and serve over thin noodles. Also add a splash of worstershire and soy sauce toss and serve.

I made these last night and OMG… the best ever. So tender and juicy. 
I didn’t have any buttermilk but I had some heavy cream on hand and I always keep lemons so I made my own buttermilk. Delicious. Thank you for this recipe.
