5 Minute Homemade Peanut Butter

Place peanuts in a food processor. Turn the food processor on and let it run for 4-5 minutes. During this time, you&#8217;ll see the peanuts go in stages from crumbs to a dry ball to a smooth and creamy &#8220;liquid&#8221; peanut butter. Stir in the sugar, honey, or salt, if you want.

Store in the fridge or at room temperature if you think you&#8217;ll go through it fast enough (I know people who store it both ways &#8211; I would just advise the fridge if it&#8217;s going to be several weeks before you get through it).

Not sure why I haven't yet. After all I already make my own veggie stock and chicken stock (welllll honestly, my boyfriend does it for me - he rocks).

I completely agree! I've been so anti-more-kitchen-appliances. I saw this and cauliflower rice within two days and broke down and bought the food processor. No regrets!! I love this recipe! (Ps. To Aldi shoppers, the mini 3-cup food processor was a weekly special for $12.99! Yay!)

So glad to see you are giving up the refined foods. I have to say it will bring me here more often. I love the PB--but I would add the honey on the sandwich or whatever. No need to sweeten it before time. 

And, to Marzia--no need to be SUGAR FREE. JUST REFINED SUGAR FREE. Honey, maple syrup, coconut sugar--all are awesome and do not make you feel sugar deprived AT ALL!

How to Make Peanut Butter

unsalted and dry roasted peanuts (1.21)

¾ - 1 tsp salt (0.01)

Cinnamon

Cacao powder

Agave nectar or maple syrup

Pumpkin spice

Coconut oil

If you don&#039;t have roasted peanuts, preheat your oven to 350°F and spread the raw peanuts out on a baking sheet. Bake them until they&#039;re turning golden brown, about 10 minutes. By using roasted peanuts, you&#039;ll end up with a deeper, richer flavor, but it&#039;s up to you! We like it both ways.

Once the peanuts are roasted, add them and your preferred amount of salt to a high-speed blender or food processor. Pulse or turn on low for 1 minute to grind the nuts together into a gritty-looking mixture. Stop and scrape down the sides and bottom with a spatula or spoon.

Then, turn the blender or food processor back on to continue mixing for another 1-2 minutes. It will look like a dry peanut clump at this point. Don&#039;t you worry, we&#039;re not done yet!

Stop and scrape down the sides and bottom once more, then blend again until the mixture starts to appear smooth and glossy, about 2-3 minutes. You&#039;re going to be shocked at the transformation at this point.

Last but not least, add in any other optional flavors you want and blend to combine. Transfer your homemade peanut butter to a jar or a container for storage!

This might just be the best homemade peanut butter ever! It's filled with protein, has an awesome crunchy texture and a subtle hint of cinnamon.

sunflower seeds

hemp seeds

chia seeds

Add the peanuts to a food processor and process on high until smooth and creamy. You might have to scrape the sides down as you go to help the nuts continue to blend.

Add the cinnamon and blend again until smooth.

Add all the seeds into the food processor and pulse 5 - 10 times until incorporated.

Transfer to a glass container and store in a cool dark place.

Homemade Peanut Butter

(10 ounces 284 grams) roasted, salted peanuts

vegetable oil ((or canola, safflower but NO olive oil))

honey ((or agave))

Put the peanuts in the food processor or blender and grind until they start to break down and form a soft, smooth paste. This takes around 2-3 minutes.

Add the oil and honey and process again till very well blended; NOTE: At this point, the texture should be fairly soft but don&#039;t worry because it will stiffen in the refrigerator.

Store into an air-tight container in the refrigerator for up to 12 weeks.

How to Make Homemade Peanut Butter - Gemma's Bold Baking Basics Ep 23

Make the BEST homemade peanut butter with just two ingredients. It&#039;s simple to make, creamy, delicious, and cheaper than store-bought.

The Best Homemade Peanut Butter

oz peanuts (raw, peeled or with skin,3 cups)

tsp sea salt

Place the peanuts on a baking tray. Roast in the oven at 325ºF/165ºC for 7-10 minutes. The longer you roast them, the deeper the color of the peanut butter. Let them cool down before peeling and blending.

Skip this step if you have already peeled peanuts. Also, this step is optional as you can keep the skin on if preferred. As soon as you can handle the peanuts, carefully peel them. The skin should just come off easily when you scrunch them in your hands or with a towel.

Once cooled, place the peanuts and a pinch of salt in a food processor or a high-speed blender and blitz them until you achieve your desired consistency - this process can take between 5 and 15-20 minutes. The longer you blend, the runnier the peanut butter becomes.Make sure to give the machine a break so it doesn&#39;t overheat! Use this time to scrape down the sides of the processor bowl. 

Once you&#39;ve blended the homemade peanut butter to your desired consistency, pour it into a clean mason jar or glass container. When kept in a pantry or cupboard, it can last for at least 3-4 weeks. However, I recommend keeping it in the fridge for 2-3 months. Make sure to stir it before use to redistribute the peanut oils.

Make the best homemade roasted peanut butter.  With just two ingredients, and the optional ingredient of honey, this peanut butter can be made creamy or chunky!

Preheat oven to 350°F (175 degrees °C). Spread peanuts on a baking sheet. Sprinkle with salt and bake until golden brown, about 6-10 minutes. Stir every 2 minutes to get an even roasting.

In a food processor (using a metal blade), scrape baking tray with peanuts and salt, and process for about 2 minutes, or until peanuts start to form a ball.

Scrape sides and reserve 1/3 cup of ground peanuts if chunky peanut butter is desired.

Add honey at this point, if desired, and continue blending to desired consistency, 2-3 more minutes.

Remove creamy peanut butter from food processor and mix reserved peanuts back into the mix (if desired).
