Once you make this super easy recipe for potato peel chips you will never toss those peelings out again! Bet you can't eat just one of these babies.

Potato Peel Chips

Peelings from two potatoes

olive oil

sea salt

Preheat oven to 425. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or non-stick foil.

Gently toss the peelings with the olive oil. Place in a single layer on the baking sheet, and sprinkle with salt.

Bake for about 15 to 20 minutes or so, watching carefully through the door to make sure they don&#8217;t get too brown. Remove when they are crispy and serve at once.

Have not made it yet but it simply looks wonderful. I plan on making a butternut squash soup that calls for two cups of potatoes and hated the idea of tossing all those nutrients. what a perfect side for the soup.

Made these tonight, and they were addictive and delicious. Will definitely be making again!

The only time I can get them to be crispy is when they're burnt and when I cook them to golden they are flimsy, help me please

You won&#x27;t believe how easy it is to make Crispy Microwave Potato Chips for delicious, crunchy chips containing all-natural ingredients.

Crispy Microwave Potato Chips

potatoes

salt

ice water

BBQ Flavor

smoked paprika

onion powder

garlic powder

chili powder

Ranch Flavor

parsley (, crushed)

dill weed

⁄4 teaspoon ground pepper

Rinse potatoes, scrubbing any dirt off skin. Peel if desired, but I like chips with the skins on.

Thinly slice your potatoes using a knife. The thinner, the better, so you want to slice thinly enough that you are almost shaving the potato; so thin they are transparent. Slices should be between 1/8 - 1/16 inch thick.

Immediately place slices in ice water. This helps to remove the starch and create crispy chips with those delicious air pockets.

Dry both sides well on a kitchen towel or paper towel. The dryer they are the better they will crisp.

Line a plate with a piece of parchment paper. Lay the potato slices out so they aren't touching. Brush with a little olive oil, then sprinkle with salt.

Microwave on high for roughly 1.30- 2.30 minutes on one side, and then roughly 1 - 2 minutes on the other side or until golden brown. Timing may vary based on your microwave. You will know when they are done as they will crisp and turn a toasted brown color.

Sprinkles the finished potato chips with salt and enjoy

BBQ flavor : In a freezer bag or bowl combine the paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and chili powder. Sprinkle mix over finished potato chips

Ranch flavor : In a freezer bag or bowl combine all of the ingredients. Sprinkle mix over finished potato chips

If not eating straight away, then store in an airtight container or plastic bag. Transfer chips to a bowl, then repeat with the remaining slices. And enjoy!

Crispy MICROWAVE POTATO CHIPS (w/Ranch & BBQ Flavors!) Gemma's Bigger Bolder Baking Ep 155

Air fryer potato chips are so golden, crispy, and crunchy with very little oil. This no soak recipe is quick and easy!

Air Fryer Potato Chips

russet potatoes ((about 8 ounces each), scrubbed with peels on)

black pepper (optional)

Slice

With a mandoline, slice the potatoes crosswise into VERY THIN rounds—1/16-inch thick. Place in a large bowl and fill the bowl with cold water. Rinse, moving the potatoes around, then drain. Rinse once more, repeating as needed until the water runs clear, not white (this removes the starches so the chips can crisp). Spread the potatoes onto a layer of paper towels or clean kitchen towels and pat dry. Dry the bowl.

Toss

Return the now-dry potatoes to the dry bowl and top with the oil, salt, and a few grinds of black pepper if desired. Toss to coat, ensuring all of the slices are seasoned.

Cook

Preheat your air fryer to 325°F. Spread the potatoes in the bottom of the basket in an even layer so that you have no more than two layers of potatoes overlapping. Air fry for 20 minutes, until the potatoes are dark golden at the edges and crisp, tossing them with tongs every 5 to 7 minutes so they cook evenly. If some chips finish earlier than others, remove them to a plate as they are ready. Repeat with remaining potatoes. For two potatoes, I end up doing four batches total.

Crispy Homemade Potato Chips Recipe

Canola oil

About an hour before cooking, slice the potatoes. To do this the easiest way, take a mandolin on the thinnest setting and carefully slice potatoes that have been washed and scrubbed.

Immediately place the sliced potatoes into a bowl filled with cold water. Let sit in the fridge for one hour in water.

In a heavy bottom skillet, pour in canola oil so it is about 1-2 inches deep or you can use an electric deep fryer. Get the oil hot over medium heat to 375°F.

Take about a dozen of the potato slices out of the water and pat dry with a paper towel, carefully but quickly drop in potato slices into the hot oil. These take seconds to cook, using tongs turn them over as soon as any browning occurs.

With tongs, take them out of the oil and let drain on paper towels. Sprinkle lightly with kosher salt immediately. Keep repeating the same process until all of the potato chips are finished. Serve and enjoy!
