This crowd-pleasing party dip is a creamy blend of sour cream, cream cheese, spinach, and various cheeses and served with bread for dipping.

Creamy Spinach Dip

sour cream

oz cream cheese (softened)

oz frozen spinach (thawed, rinsed, and drained)

Monterrey jack cheese

Parmesan cheese

onion

garlic

salt (to taste)

black pepper (to taste)

red pepper flakes (to taste)

french bread (for dipping)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray an 8x8 baking dish (or similar size) with cooking spray, then set aside.

In a large bowl, blend together sour cream and cream cheese until thick and smooth.

Add spinach, Monterey jack cheese, Parmesan cheese, dried chopped onion, garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to bowl, then stir until thoroughly combined.

Transfer spinach dip to parepared baking dish and smooth it out to an even layer.

Bake spinach dip for 10 minutes or until hot and cheese is melted.

Serve spinach dip immediately with cut french bread for dipping.

pkg. (12 oz.) frozen spinach,

carrots

¼ cups 2% plain Greek yogurt or sour cream

mayonnaise

(8 oz.) sliced water chestnuts, drained and chopped

green onions, finely chopped ((both green and white parts))

dry onion flakes ((see notes))

salt

parsley

thyme

celery seed

black pepper

garlic powder

Add all ingredients to a medium sized mixing bowl. Mix well. For best flavor, cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least an hour.

Serve

Transfer to a serving bowl and serve with crackers, rye, pumpernickel, or pita bread.
