Great! I added black beans and did not add water, just used juices from beans and corn and was PERFECT!!

I am glad I read the comments... I went heavy on the spices, and used condensed tomato soup, in place of fire roasted tomatoes, I used rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies. Husband LOVED it!

Very easy and a wonderful weeknight meal - It does lack some flavor and to be more of a soup (which I wanted) I needed to add more liquid. 
My additions were : 
15oz can of kindey beans.
Total of 2 packets of Old El Paso taco seasoning.
Total of 2C beef broth & 1C of water.
+ salt to taste. 
Really pleased with the taste & will serve with the sides cornbread, cheese & greek yogurt. I don't have a taco soup recipe and this may be my go-to.

Made this last night. My husband was fartin' hard for hours after. Rocked the house!!! Such a good meal.

I agree with other commenters that this would have been pretty bland as written, so I used three times the taco seasoning called for, added some New Mexico chile powder, included a jalapeno with the onion and used Rotel tomatoes with habaneros instead of fire roasted. It was spicier and good enough, but IMO resembled a watery chili rather than a soup. I guess I just prefer real chili, which would have been thicker but with some of the same ingredients.

I make this all the time I just do it differently. I used two pounds of beef, tacos easing, cook my meat in garlic powder, old bay, and creole. Then I add a can Of diced tomatoes, rotes, corn, pinto beans, and black eyed peas. Bri g to a boil. Then I serve in a bowl with sour cream and cheese on top. Use tortilla chips to dip 🙌🏻🤤🤤

It was great instead of beef i used deer meat and my family didn't know that I had and they enjoyed it.

This Chicken Taco Soup Is The Coziest Dinner Ever

This taco soup is a quick, easy to make, and delicious recipe made with kitchen staple ingredients. It's full of lean ground beef, taco seasoning, tomatoes, beans, and corn. You'll love it! 

Taco Soup 

lb. lean ground beef

bell pepper, diced

garlic cloves,

jalapeño (if you want it spicy)

taco seasoning

chicken stock

black beans, drained and rinsed

pinto beans, drained and rinsed

Sea salt and pepper,

½ brick (4-ounces) cream cheese, optional

Optional toppings: grated cheddar cheese, sour cream, cilantro, tortilla chips, lime juice, diced avocado

Add the ground beef to a large pot over medium-high heat. Cook the beef until most of the pink is gone, about 7 minutes. Add the onion, pepper, garlic, and (if using) the jalapeño and cook until the onion is soft, about 3 minutes. 

Add the taco seasoning to the pot and stir. Then add the chicken stock, diced tomatoes, and beans and bring the pot to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes. 

Add the corn to the pot and let it warm for a few minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper. 

If using the cream cheese, cut it into small pieces and add it to the soup then stir until it dissolves into the soup. 

Serve with any or all of the optional toppings.

Beef taco soup is a delicious take on tacos, transforming it into a hearty, wholesome,  filling soup topped with all the taco fixings. Ready in 30 minutes.

Beef Taco Soup

olive oil

garlic, minced

paprika

cumin

red pepper (optional)

(14 oz.) cans crushed tomatoes (about 3.5 cups)

beef broth (or one 14-oz. can)

salt (or

black pepper (or

(28 oz.) can black beans, drained

tortilla chips

cilantro, chopped

lime, sliced

sour cream (or Greek yogurt)

avocado, thinly sliced

cheddar cheese

In a large stock pot or Dutch oven, heat oil over medium high for 2 minutes until the oil is sizzling hot. Add ground beef and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned. Make sure to break up the beef into small pieces to help with even browning.

Add onion, jalapeño, and garlic. Stir well to combine and continue to cook for 3-4 minutes until tender. Stir in paprika, cumin, and crushed pepper until evenly mixed.

Add crushed tomatoes and beef broth. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cover the lid and let it simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add black beans and corn. Stir well to mix and cook until heated through, about 2 minutes.

Serve immediately and add toppings including tortilla chips, cilantro, lime juice, avocado, and cheddar cheese.
