Seared Buttery Honey Garlic Shrimp&nbsp;coated in the best honey garlic butter sauce is a quick and simple shrimp recipe guaranteed to impress! This is the best shrimp recipe to hit your dinner table! Restaurant quality flavour ready in less than 10 minutes! No marinading needed!

Buttery Honey Garlic Shrimp

unsalted butter

honey

garlic, (minced)

lemon juice

olive oil, (divided)

(600 grams) shrimp

Salt and pepper, (to season)

Lemon ((to serve))

parsley

Melt butter in a non stick pan or skillet over medium-high heat.&nbsp;Add the honey, lemon juice and garlic; stir well to combine all of the flavours together and cook for 30 seconds until the garlic is fragrant. Remove from heat.

Pour out just over half of the honey garlic butter from the pan, leaving 2 tablespoons in the pan; reserve the rest for later.

Add 2 teaspoons of the oil into the same pan and sear half of the shrimp for about 2 minutes each side, or until just cooked through and no longer opaque. Transfer to a plate; set aside. Wipe pan over with paper towel and repeat with remaining oil and shrimp.

Throw the cooked shrimp back into the pan and pour in the remaining honey garlic butter sauce, stirring through the shrimp to evenly coat. Season with salt and pepper if desired and garnish with parsley.

Honey Garlic Shrimp

tamari soy sauce (or coconut aminos)

garlic

Stir

In a small bowl, stir together the honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger and red pepper flakes.

Marinate

Place the shrimp into a separate bowl and pour 1/3 of the sauce on top. Toss to coat the shrimp, then marinate for 15-20 minutes.

Cook

Heat the oil in a pan on medium-high heat. Add the shrimp (discarding any leftover marinade) and cook for 1 to 2 minutes on each side, until pink and just barely cooked through.

Simmer

Pour the remaining 2/3 sauce into the pan and bring to a simmer, stirring with the shrimp as it slightly reduces and warms through, for about a minute.

Turn off the heat, stir in the cilantro or parsley, and top with sliced green onions before serving.

This delicious honey garlic shrimp takes less than 10 minutes to make!

10 Minute Honey Garlic Shrimp

tbsp light soy sauce

vegetable oil

ginger paste ginger

tsp chilli flakes (optional)

green onions (for garnish)

In a medium bowl combine the soy sauce and cornstarch, then add the shrimp and toss to combine. Set aside till needed. (This method is called &quot;velveting&quot; in Chinese cooking and is used to protect delicate meat like shrimp and chicken from drying out during cooking.)

Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan and cook minced garlic with ginger for no longer than 30 seconds over medium heat, then add the shrimp and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side depending on the size of the shrimp.

Pour in honey and chilli flakes if using, toss to coat the shrimp and take off the heat. Sprinkle with sliced green onions for garnish. Serve over rice or as a starter.

This Easy Honey Garlic Shrimp Recipe is delicious and simple to make! A healthy honey shrimp dinner everyone will love!

Easy Honey Garlic Shrimp Recipe

garlic garlic

coconut aminos (or low sodium soy sauce)

lime juice

black pepper

red chili flakes (optional)

scallions

In a pan over medium heat melt 2 tablespoons of butter or heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Add garlic and cook for 3-5 minutes until fragrant and slightly softened.

Add honey, coconut aminos, lime juice, black pepper, and chili flakes. Stir and cook over low heat for 4-5 minutes until the sauce becomes sticky.

Once the sauce has thickened, remove the sauce from the pan and set aside.

In the same pan over medium heat melt 1 tablespoon of butter or add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the shrimp in a single layer, and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side.

Once the shrimps turn pink and curled slightly, add the sauce and cook for another 1 minute so that the shrimps are well coated in the sauce. (do not overcook)

Serve hot garnished with chopped scallions, rice and steamed broccoli.

Finely grate the zest from 1 orange, about 2 teaspoons.

Juice both oranges into a bowl (you should have about 3/4 cup).

Whisk in the honey, soy sauce, and vinegar with 1 tablespoon of water.

In a small bowl, combine the cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of the orange-soy mixture to form a paste, then stir that back into the bowl with the rest of the orange-soy mixture.

Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.

In the largest skillet (or wok) you have, heat 1 teaspoon of the oil over medium high heat until shimmering-hot, almost smoking.

Add half of the shrimp, spread it out in one layer, and cook until the underside is bright pink, 1 to 1½ minutes. Flip and cook 1 minute more, then transfer the shrimp to a plate.

Repeat with another 1 teaspoon oil and shrimp. Set aside.

Add the remaining teaspoon of oil to the skillet. Add the garlic, ginger, scallion whites, and red pepper flakes and cook until fragrant, 30 seconds to 1 minute. Add the orange-soy liquid and the orange zest and cook, stirring, until thickened, 1 to 2 minutes.

Return the shrimp to the skillet, add the scallion greens, and toss to coat with the sauce.

Divide the shrimp among 4 bowls and serve with rice.

This 20 minute honey garlic shrimp is a reader favorite recipe. It’s extra quick, very simple, and delivers big flavor. Served with brown rice and vegetables or over a salad, this healthy dish is sure to join your regular dinner rotation.

20 Minute Honey Garlic Shrimp

soy sauce (we usually use reduced sodium)

garlic cloves, minced (or 1 Tablespoon jarred minced garlic)

lb medium uncooked shrimp, peeled & deveined

teaspoons olive oil

Whisk the honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger (if using) together in a medium bowl. You will use half for the marinade in step 2 and half for cooking the shrimp in step 3.

Place shrimp in a large sealable container or zipped-top bag. Pour 1/2 of the marinade/sauce mixture on top, give it all a shake or stir, then allow shrimp to marinate in the refrigerator for 15 minutes or for up to 8-12 hours. Cover and refrigerate the rest of the marinade for step 3. (Time-saving tip: while the shrimp is marinating, we usually steam broccoli and microwave some quick brown rice.)

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Place shrimp in the skillet. (Discard used marinade.) Cook shrimp on one side until pink, about 45 seconds, then flip shrimp over. Pour in remaining marinade/sauce and cook it all until shrimp is cooked through, about 1-2 more minutes.

Serve shrimp with cooked marinade sauce and a garnish of green onion. The sauce is excellent on brown rice and steamed vegetables on the side.

Easiest recipe and so good. I make it everytime I visit my father and he is eating them before they're cool.

This was great - always looking for another shrimp recipe.  It would absolutely be good as written, but after reading a bunch of the comments, I did add a little worcestershire and a fair amount of pepper flakes (kids are grown - we can eat the way we like). I loved this recipe, so simple but so good! I doubled the marinade recipe and thickened the sauce with cornstarch. Served over white rice and broccoli, topped with green onions.. in my opinion it was perfect! Next time I’m going to add  in some fresh mushrooms!

Quick and very delicious!! I have made this countless times. I add two thawed cubes of Trader Joe’s  frozen ginger. I also add chopped peanuts or cashews as a garnish along with the scallions. To keep it from being too salty, I always use the reduced sodium soy sauce. Like others, I usually double the sauce because my husband loves extra for his rice. So delicious!! I made the sauce with ground ginger as I didn’t have fresh and also added in a teaspoon of chili sauce in a skillet. I put the entire amount of sauce and cooked until garlic was softened. I only had cooked shrimp so I stirred them into the thickened sauce (with cornstarch slurry) at the end to heat through and coat. Served over rice with broccoli. Couldn’t be easier or more delicious! This recipe is a keeper! I didn't have fresh ginger so I chopped up a couple tablespoons of pickled ginger and added it to the marinade. Gave it a little tang, which brightened it up. Also thickened it with a little cornstarch. We're not brown rice lovers, particularly, but with this dish it worked!  Delicious!

I hope someone reads this before making. In the tips it says take 1 teaspoon of cornstarch to 1 teaspoon of warm water thats wrong it has to be cold water other wise it will be clumpy. We doubled the marinade we put the amount stayed for the shrimp &amp; the extra with the rice. I also seasoned the rice with broth, garlic, salt, pepper, 1 or 2 drops of sesame oil &amp; any assortment of Asian spices that u like.

We tried this recipe for a quick weekend dinner and it turned out great! Marinated the extra large shrimp for about 3 hours in half the sauce. We doubled the sauce but I did not double the honey after reading some of the comments about the amount of honey making the sauce too sweet. This definitely would have been the case if I had doubled the honey. I added broccoli in with the shrimp and sauce and served this over white rice along with homemade egg rolls. Great dinner!

I love it! I think with a few tweaks, it has the potential to be 5 stars! I always read the reviews before making any meal I found online. Because of this, I reduced the honey and because I love garlic, I doubled the garlic. I think the honey was a good choice but I still found it a tad salty. I may decrease the soy next time. I definitely added cornstarch and I’m glad I did because without it, it may have been a runny sauce. Overall a good starter recipe!

One of the best shrimp dinners I've ever cooked. It was quite easy and delicious! I will be making this again and again.

This was good and very easy to make. I did think it was too sweet so next time I would probably try using 1/3 cup soy sauce and 1/4 honey. I decided to try using hot honey, which was good, but I like a little more spice than that. Would add some red pepper flakes or sriracha next time to spice it up. I also used a slurry of 1 tablespoon corn starch to 1-2 tablespoons of cold water and that seemed to thicken the sauce up very nicely. Overall good, but I would tweak a few things next time for my taste.

Loved this recipe! It was super easy. I let the shrimp marinate in the refrigerator for about 5 hours before cooking. As suggested, I served over brown rice with cooked broccoli. It was delicious!! I recommend making extra marinade for serving.

An amazingly quick and easy curry filled with plump shrimp and juicy bell pepper. The coconut sauce is ultra creamy, slightly spicy and can’t-stop-eating-delicious.

Thai Coconut Shrimp Curry

½ tsp red pepper flakes

turmeric

garlic powder

¼ tsp white pepper

bell pepper (sliced)

tbsp ginger

shallot (finely chopped)

tbsp mild red curry paste

brown sugar

½ tsp turmeric (ground cumin, ground coriander)

tbsp fish sauce

full fat coconut milk ((14 oz/400 ml) coconut milk)

lime (juiced)

tsp sriracha (optional)

Get all the prep done before you start cooking. Add shrimp, soy sauce, red pepper flakes, turmeric, garlic powder and white pepper to a bowl. Stir to combine, set aside.

Heat oil and butter in a large skillet over high. Place shrimp in a single layer. Sear, 1 minute per side. Remove from skillet.

In the same skillet, add bell pepper. Sauté for 5 minutes, or until it starts to soften. Add garlic, ginger and shallot. Cook until soft and fragrant, about 2 minutes. Deglaze with chicken broth, simmer for 2 minutes while stirring and scraping up the brown bits on the bottom of the skillet with a wooden spoon.

Stir in red curry paste. Add brown sugar, turmeric, cumin, coriander, white pepper, soy and fish sauce. Cook for 1 minute, stir frequently. Pour in coconut milk and bring to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes or until the sauce starts to thicken.
