3 stars for the recipe written; the rice is too plain, and the cooking method for the chicken is not great. Have not tried the one in the video. Below are the ingredients/directions from their video, taken from video description on YouTube:
<strong>INGREDIENTS </strong>
1/4 c. low-sodium soy sauce
3 tbsp. honey
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 c. freshly chopped cilantro, plus more for garnish
Juice of 1 lime
1 tsp. sriracha
4 bone-in skin-on chicken thighs
kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
1 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
1 tbsp. Sesame seeds, for garnish
Cooked jasmine rice, for serving
<strong>DIRECTIONS </strong>
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Make sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, garlic, cilantro, lime juice, and Sriracha.
2. Season chicken with salt and pepper. In an ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat, heat oil. Sear chicken skin side down 2 minutes, then flip and let cook 2 minutes more. Pour over glaze and transfer to oven.
3. Bake until chicken is cooked through, 20 minutes.
4. Garnish chicken with sesame seeds and more cilantro and serve over rice with pan sauce.

I tried this recipe.  The flavor is good, but chicken is not cooked all the way when only cooking for a total of 18-20 minutes.  I seared them in a hot pan of oil for the recommended 8 minutes, and baked in the oven @ 425 degrees for 25 minutes and it was still pink inside.  I'm not a picky pink chicken eater, I will eat the heck out of a little pink fried chicken, but this simply was not long enough to cook it.  Maybe bake it in the oven for at least 45 minutes, not 10-12.  Great flavor and fun to make though.

Learned that 6 minutes on medium-high heat burns the skin to a char clean off, thanks.

This is one of our go to meals. I usually double the recipe and serve with basmati rice. I add lime to the rice as well. I cook the chicken the entire time in a large electric skillet and skip the oven. It's also great served with sweet cooked carrots.

Marinated Honey-Lime Chicken Is A Golden Vision

The combination of honey (or maple syrup), soy sauce, sriracha, lime, garlic and ginger in this spicy honey lime chicken recipe is wicked. Delicious hot, room temp or cold.

Spicy Honey Lime Chicken

(1.13kg) boneless skinless thighs (or breasts), trimmed and

cilantro lime wedges

soy sauce (low sodium is good if you have)

honey or maple syrup

lime

lime juice (from 1 1/2 to 2 limes)

garlic cloves, minced garlic

ginger ((about 1 1/2 inch of fresh ginger))

vegetable oil

Sriracha sauce

salt

cornstarch (to thicken to glaze consistency) (Optional)

MAKE MARINADE/SAUCE:  Whisk all marinade ingredients together in a small bowl. Or blend them in a food processor.

MARINATE CHICKEN:  Pour half the marinade (about 1/2 cup) into a sealed zipper bag or container and add chicken. Marinate for 30 minutes at room temperature or 6-12 hours in fridge. Tip: if marinating overnight, I leave out lime juice and increase zest so it doesn&#39;t &#39;cook&#39; the chicken.  Glaze: The reserved 1/2 cup marinade will be used for glazing/basting. (Optional but suggested: Mix 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch into reserved marinade and microwave for 1 minute to make a glaze-like consistency. I do this). Set aside.

PREPARE GRILL: Scrape grill and spray grill with oil (or dip paper towel in oil and rub on grill). Heat grill to medium-high heat.  If using wood skewers, soak them for 30 minutes beforehand to avoid burning. Note 3.

GRILL CHICKEN SKEWERS: Skewer marinated chicken pieces onto skewers and pat dry (important). Discard the marinade used for marinating. Lightly spray chicken with oil to further avoid sticking. Grill chicken on all sides until golden brown, for 9-12 minutes in total (depending on thickness and how tightly packed the skewers are), basting once or twice with the honey lime glaze. Instant thermometer will read 160F/71C. Rest chicken, loosely covered for 5 minutes.

SERVE:  If you have any leftover sauce, drizzle it on the chicken or warm it in microwave for 30 seconds and pass it around. Sprinkle chicken with cilantro or parsley and serve with lime wedges if desired. Serve hot or at room temperature.

Honey Lime Chicken

lb. chicken thighs, deboned, skin-on

garlic (minced)

soy sauce

lime juice

cayenne pepper

chopped parsley

lime wedges

Preheat the oven to 400°F (207°C).

To debone the chicken thighs but keep the skin on, please refer to the step-by-step instructions. The skin makes this recipe extremely delicious.

Rub the minced garlic on the chicken thighs with your hands. Add honey, soy sauce, lime juice, cayenne pepper and salt to the chicken. (Double the marinade if you want it to be more &quot;saucy&quot;). Stir to combine well. Transfer the chicken and the honey mixture to a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover the chicken with aluminum foil to prevent burning.

Bake the chicken for 20 minutes, or until cooked. If the sauce pools at the bottom of the foil, spoon and brush the sauce over the chicken. Broil the chicken for 1 minute or until the chicken skin is charred. Remove from heat, garnish with parsley. Squeeze the lime wedges over the chicken before serving.

These enchiladas are one of our favorites! The filling includes marinated Honey lime chicken, black beans, corn, and cheese, rolled in tortillas and smothered in salsa verde.&nbsp;

Honey Lime Chicken Enchiladas

chicken breasts

Salsa verde

flour tortillas

Monterey Jack Cheeses (, shredded)

chili powder

paprika

cumin

cayenne pepper (optional)

onion powder

garlic powder

black pepper

sour cream

cilantro

Cook chicken and shred with forks (or use leftover cooked chicken or rotisserie chicken).

Whisk the marinade ingredients together in a liquid measuring cup (Should make about 1 cup). Add 2/3 cup of the marinade into the bowl with the chicken. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes or up to several hours.

Add chili verde sauce to the remaining 1/3 cup of marinade and stir to combine. If the green chiles are chunky I like to pulse the sauce with an immersion blender until smooth.

Add beans, corn to the chicken mixture. Fill the tortillas with a spoonful of the chicken filling and sprinkle a generous handful of cheese on top (reserving about 1 cup of cheese for topping on the enchiladas at the end).

Roll up the tortillas and place them in the pan, seam side down.&nbsp;

Pour the green chili sauce on top of the enchiladas. Sprinkle with remaining cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes, then place under broiler for 2-3 minutes or until cheese is golden.

Grilled Honey Lime Cilantro Chicken

(skinless chicken breasts,

Tablespoons Soy Sauce

olive oil

garlic

cilantro (finely chopped)

pepper

In a small bowl combine lime juice, honey, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, cilantro, salt and pepper.

Pour the sauce over the chicken and let marinade for 3 hours or overnight.

Preheat your grill to medium high heat. Grill each side of the chicken for about 3-4 minutes or until cooked throughout and no longer pink.

Delicious!  I added some jalapeño to the marinade and extra cilantro and garlic, and I definitely recommend setting aside a spoonful of the marinade (heavy on the solids) per serving (before adding the chicken) to add a dollop on top of each piece of chicken after you take it off the grill.  Delicious and tender!

Such an incredible dish. I paired it with some thyme roasted carrots and a crispy noodle salad with a coconut peanut dressing. My friends were very impressed with the flavours! Do you think adding ginger to the marinade would work or would it ruin the current flavours?

An absolute winner!  I made it with boneless skinless thighs, and it was absolutely delicious. On the menu again for tonight's BBQ.

Followed the recipe and marinated for 6 hours. Felt it needed more lime juice as it was hard to detect. I’ll double it next time.

This is delicious!!!my husband hates cilantro so i left it out. I marinated boneless chicken breasts overnight. i cooked them on the Barbq grill . Served the chicken sliced over a salad of mixed greens, berries, candied pecans with a honey lime vinaigrette. Delicious!!! The chicken has immense flavor.

Oh my goodness this was so delicious.  My lime tree has gone crazy producing limes;  found your recipe looking for recipes using lime.  This chicken was great.  I used agave instead of honey (because it was on hand) and everything came together beautifully.  Husband says this is a keeper - right into our regular rotation of recipes. Wow! Thank you so much!

This dish was excellent! I didn’t add the wine, just more chicken broth and mixed some fresh chopped parsley with the cilantro. I also made the Greek Lemon Rice but switched out the lemon juice for lime juice! Really outstanding! Big winner dinner at my house. Will be making this again. Outstanding recipe. I served the chicken over jasmine rice then topped with mango salsa.  Super delicious.  Just the right amount of sweet and savory.

I tried this and loved it with both bone in with skin and also boneless skinless chicken thighs...I'm not one who needs to count calories so you can guess witch one I preferred. To each own. Try and do the same and see who likes which. Good eatn.
