HOW TO GET THE MOST JUICE FROM LEMONS AND LIMES

This is a homemade version of the popular Honey Mustard simmer sauces sold at supermarkets. The Honey Mustard Sauce is slightly tangy, sweet and beautifully creamy. Great for chicken, pork, turkey and fish. **ADJUST SERVINGS by using the slider!**

chicken

Salt and pepper

tbsp flour

garlic powder

mayonnaise ((Note 3))

cornstarch / cornflour or 2 tsp flour

tbsp + 1/2 tbsp olive oil

garlic (minced)

chicken broth / stock ((250 milliliters))

Dijon mustard ((70 grams))

honey ((85 grams))

thyme thyme ((Note 4))

Fresh parsley, finely chopped

Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper, then toss with Seasoning if using.

Thickener: In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and flour.

Heat 1 1/2 tbsp oil in a skillet over medium high heat. Add chicken and cook for 2 minutes on each side or until golden. Remove onto a plate.

Reduce heat to medium. Add remaining oil in the middle of the skillet and put garlic straight onto the puddle of oil. Sauté for 20 seconds or until golden (don't let it burn).

Add chicken broth, bring to simmer, scraping the bottom of the fry pan.

Whisk in Dijon Mustard and honey, then whisk in Thickener (make sure you scrape it all in).

Add thyme and wholegrain mustard, if using.

Cook for 1 - 2 minutes or until starting to thicken. Adjust salt and pepper to taste.

Return chicken and any juices pooled on the plate into the sauce. Turn to coat and reheat through - about 1 1/2 minutes - or until sauce is thickened to your taste.

Serve on mashed potato, garnished with parsley, with a simple side salad.

A creamy dipping sauce with just the right notes of sweet and tang, universally great for "everything!". Use it as a dipping sauce - think crunchy chicken tenders, fish fingers, popcorn chicken, wedges, fries and even roasted broccoli, steamed beans or veggie sticks. Or spoon it over a chicken, fish or pork pan fried with just a little salt and pepper.Substitute the mayonnaise with yogurt for a lower fat version. For a brighter yellow colour, use 50/50 dijon and American yellow mustard.

This is my son's favorite sauce - he asks for it all the time!

Great recipe but how do I keep the site from refreshing on me repeatedly minutes after I scroll down and enter the serving size? I go to pick up ingredients and suddenly I am back at the top. It is painfully annoying.

This is the very best Honey Mustard Dressing I have ever had ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

We added 2 minced cloves of garlic and pepper to this recipe and it has become a household staple. I’ve made it many many times!

Absolutely awesome honey mustard sauce!!! I’ve tried a ton of different recipes as well as switching regular grey popping for the “country” grey popping, and this recipe works fabulous with either. I always add a tad more mayo, honey and seasoning….but that’s just the country in me lol!! Thanks so much for sharing. 😋

This sauce was JUST like at Chilis! So perfect with chicken tenders.

Oh my goodness, this sauce is the bomb! I'm going to be making this all the time because my family will be using it on everything.

Honey mustard is my favorite! I've never tried it with dijon mustard before - OMG SO GOOD! Definitely keeping this recipe on hand to make again!

I just love a good copycat restaurant recipe! :) This dipping sauce sounds absolutely delicious.

Nothing beats a good dipping sauce, and being able to make your own batch is awesome. This was so good! We had it with chicken cutlets and wow. Definitely making it again.

This was so good with tater tots! We gobbled them up with this sauce!

I love the little kick a pinch of paprika adds to this perfect dipping sauce. My family loves honey mustard sauce, and this recipe is a keeper for us.

Juicy chicken cutlets are brushed with sweet-and-tangy honey mustard, then coated in crunchy pecans and panko for the ultimate crisp exterior. A flavor-packed weeknight favorite that pairs with almost anything.
