Everyone loves a jumbo chocolate coated marshmallow and its even better when its topping your cup of hot cocoa! These fun treats are decorated with peppermint candy making it a festive treat for you favorite chocolate drink.

Hot Chocolate Toppers

marshmallows

almond bark candy coating

peppermint extract

½ cup crushed peppermint candy

Place candy canes in a ziploc bag. Using a mallet, gently crush candy into smaller pieces.

Place 4 large squares of candy melt in a microwave safe bowl and heat on high for 60 seconds. Remove from microwave and stir.

Microwave in 15 second intervals, stirring between each interval, until chocolate is smooth.

Once chocolate is smooth, add peppermint extract and stir until incorporated.

Dip one half of the marshmallow in chocolate; place the chocolate side up on a parchment paper lined sheet pan.

Sprinkle with crushed peppermint bits while chocolate is still wet. Repeat with marshmallows and chocolate.

Store in an airtight container.
