Chili Garlic Instant Pot Noodles

soy sauce

brown sugar

white vinegar

chili garlic paste (more to taste! yumms)

olive oil

water

uncooked brown rice noodles

lb. raw chicken breasts,

red bell peppers, sliced thinly

green onions, and/or sesame seeds

Instant Pot

Place all ingredients except red peppers in the Instant Pot (affiliate link). Cook for 3 minutes (manual). Release steam immediately. If you get splatter, pause, or cover with a towel.

After: 

Mix in the red bell peppers and toss very gently, adding a little more water or oil as needed (it will be very sticky). Serve with garnishes &#8211; add hot sauce for an extra kick. Says me on every recipe ever. ♡

If I want to double this recipe, do I cook it for the same amount of time?

I do not comment here often, but I was shocked to read this comment. First, Lindsay always includes ways to prepare the recipes without an instant pot, and second, the recipes are AMAZING and obviously totally from the heart.  
I love this series even though I do not own an Instant Pot. Lots of love!

I AGREE.  This is stir fryable and she wasn't pushing an Instant pot on anyone.  But if you already have one, sometimes it takes a little thinking outside the box to utilize it to its fullest potential.  I have one but am stir frying THIS recipe because I am batching for the week and already have beans in my IP.    One of the reasons I LOVE Lindsay's recipes is that she give alt. Options and what you cannot change.

Hi! Delicious recipe, thanks for posting!  This may be obvious to proficient "chefs", but maybe you could add a note about watching the amount of water you add when doubling or tripling the receipe, for naive folks like me. I doubled it and ended up with more "soupy" than "sticky" with the 4 cups of water the recipe listed.  Besides that, great meal! :)

Chili garlic? Red peppers? Scallions?
Peanuts? Count me in, I really love the choices of toppings for this recipe and the list of nutrional facts is also very useful.

These noodles were SO good. Couldn't find brown rice noodles so used regular rice noodles and still came out great. Definitely a keeper

This is one of the best recipes I have seen online and I made it around 2 hours ago. It is really awesome.I did use some chopped green chilies too and I feel you won’t mind that. I usually expect extra chili when ever I hunt for taste. I usually learn to cook online. I also bought today a pack of more than 1000 Indian recipes which are all healthy and I personally feel that it’s worth Sharing.

This recipe is super finicky. I enjoyed the final product, but my husband did not. I found it to be too salty and we used low sodium soy sauce. 

We also used regular rice noodles and they were not fully cooked at 3 minutes. We re-set the timer for 1 minute and it did the trick. Usually brown noodles take longer, so not sure what the difference was here.

I remember reading a few comments in response to the recipe regarding not having an Instant Pot, for various reasons. My husband and I just moved and discovered our Instant Pot's steam release valve knob was missing, but we'd planned on making this meal last night...so we improvised.

1. I highly recommend roasting broccoli to add to this recipe, so prep this first. I commented previously, but here is the gist of what my hubs and I do: we coat fresh, chopped broccoli lightly in olive oil and season it with salt, pepper, and garlic. We and roast it in the oven for 15 minutes at 450. We discovered it works best with gas heat as it gets just a little more char!
2. Chop and pan fry the chicken - should only take a couple of minutes if you chop it small enough.
3. While your chicken is cooking, heat your water and cook the noodles according to directions. Drain and set aside.
4. In the pot you used for the noodles, follow all directions for the sauce, but use just 1.5 cups of water. Let it reach a boil, then simmer for a few minutes, stirring lightly so it reduces but doesn't burn. 
5. Chop the peppers and peanuts and set aside. 
6. Combine all ingredients in the pot you used for the noodles and sauce and let everything cook together for 2-4 minutes.

Everything still turned out great, and was very close to the outcome of the recipe using the Instant Pot, including as leftovers that I just had for my lunch, it was just more involved following this method.

Pasta cooks up perfectly in a creamy, cheesy, tomato sauce, absorbing all the delicious flavors of the sauce as it cooks.

Instant Pot Pasta

broth

dry red wine (or addtional stock)

garlic

oregano

salt

black pepper

red pepper flakes

pasta (ziti, rotini, corkscrew, rigatoni, etc)

tomatoes

spaghetti sauce

ricotta cheese

parmesan cheese (freshly grated)

mozzarella cheese (shredded)

Combine

Pour the broth into the inner pot. Stir in the wine, garlic, oregano, pepper, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes, if using.

Spread

Pour the pasta into the inner pot and then top the dry pasta with the diced tomatoes and spaghetti sauce, spreading to evenly cover the pasta. Dollop with ricotta cheese, if using.

Pressure Cook

Cook on high pressure for 4 minutes for rotini and corkscrew noodles and 5 minutes for ziti or rigatoni noodles. Alternatively, set the cooking time for HALF the lowest suggested cook time on the box of pasta.

Pressure Release

Once the cooking time has elapsed, allow the pressure to release for exactly 5 minutes, then do a quick release of the remaining pressure. To do a quick release, stand away from the vent knob, and use a long utensil to knock the venting knob from the sealed to the venting position.

Melt

Give the noodles a gentle stir into the sauce to combine. Top with the parmesan and mozzarella, and place the lid back on the inner pot for 2-5 minutes, to melt the cheese.

Serve

An easy recipe for creamy, cheesy Instant Pot Pasta.

These Sweet Chili Garlic Instant Pot Noodles are so easy to make and absolutely delicious! Whole wheat pasta cooked in a simple Asian inspired sauce creates an easy weeknight meal that is sure to satisfy everyone. Sticky, sweet, savory, and pure amazing.

Sweet Chili Garlic Instant Pot Noodles

low-sodium vegetable broth

garlic garlic

low-sodium soy sauce

maple syrup

Tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar

Tbsp chili garlic sauce

whole wheat spaghetti

Cilantro

Sesame seeds

peanuts

Green onion

veggies (broccoli, carrots, peas)

Add all the ingredients, except for the spaghetti, to the Instant Pot. Whisk or stir everything together until it is well combined.

Break the spaghetti noodles in half, place them in the Instant Pot, spread them out just a bit and make sure they are covered by the liquid.

Lock the lid and cook for 6 minutes on High Pressure. Once the noodles are finished cooking do a manual quick release. Once the pressure is completely gone, remove the lid, and stir the noodles.

These Instant Pot Honey Garlic Spicy Noodles are a delicious and easy gluten-free dinner idea. The yummy sauce is made with pantry staples!

Instant Pot Honey Garlic Spicy Noodles

tbsp sesame oil

garlic,

tbsp honey

chili garlic sauce (like Sriracha or Sambal Oelek)

chicken breasts, diced

(225 grams/8 ounces) package rice noodles

sesame seeds

broccoli,

red and yellow bell pepper, sliced

Add sesame oil, soy sauce, garlic, honey, chili garlic sauce, chicken, water and rice noodles to Instant Pot in that order, making sure rice noodles are floating a little bit above the liquid. Cook on high pressure for 2 minutes - Instant Pot will take about 15 minutes to come to pressure and pressure cook the 2 min.

Do a quick release of the pressure, then open lid when safe to do so. Add in bell peppers and broccoli, and gently toss with noodles, pushing veggies underneath hot noodles to steam. Replace lid and let sit 5-10 minutes.

Remove lid, serve in bowls then top with sesame seeds. Enjoy!

Made this tonight and it was so easy and good! Added a chopped pepper and some roasted asparagus as well as tofu to make it a meal and lunches with leftovers! Looking forward to having it cold tomorrow for lunch!

Tried this with regular pasta noodles and 16oz was too much pasta and not enough liquid. The liquid never covered the noodles and even as I tried to break and spread them most of them were above the liquid. In the end, It didn't cook all the way and the noodles were stuck together. I think the time was also too short. I have the instant pot duo nova and i believe it may have needed a bit more than just 6 min.  I tried it with half the box but then it was too watered down. Can't seem to get the proportions correct. 

As for the flavor, it was bang on!!! All your recipes are great. I just had a bit of trouble with this one.

There is a major problem with this recipe: I ate the entire thing BY MYSELF within 24 hours. It’s also insanely easy to make. 

I substituted gluten free fettuccine noodles, added a bit more water to cover all of the noodles, and stirred in some frozen peas at the end. I’m not allowing myself to make it again for at least a week because I know I will just devour it all over again.

Really hoped the family would love this, but it wasn't a win for us. I loved the flavor of the sauce but it was too spicy for my younger kids who can be a little picky. Also, I wish I hadn't used the entire package of noodles as I would have preferred to have more sauce to go around. Loved that it was easy to put together in the instant pot and hope to try more quick weeknight meals like this one.

I already posted a review of this DELICIOUS dish, but have to say, I make it all the time, in fact, it is in my Instant pot right now for lunch. I added slivered carrots and broccoli. Yum

I do not have an instant pot, so I made my noodles and sauce separately on the stovetop. For the sauce I omitted the water. The flavor was perfect, but sauce was really liquidy. Next time I'll try adding cornstarch to thicken it. Thanks for the tasty recipe!

Another fabulous recipe, these will be added to list of meals to make often.  The only thing I changed is I doubled the sauce ingredients after reading other reviews and I'm glad I did or they would of been dry.  They were perfect, the flavor was amazing my family loved them.

I  just made this and added zucchini chunks that I lightly sautéed in veggie broth and it is delicious!  And I’m happy to say that it’s going in my regular meal rotation.    It seems that most of the recipes I’m saving on Facebook are yours!  Thanks for your creative and delicious recipes.

Very quick and easy!      After it was done, I actually added a little more garlic-chili sauce to the noodles on my plate to make it more spicy.    Definitely will make again!

Further to my previous review, after reading some of the comments, I did not feel I needed to add more liquid.  I used a 14oz box of garden veggie spaghetti.    6 minutes cooking time was perfect.

I'm new to your site and this is the first recipe I've tried,  and it was amazing! I had a little hiccup,  we just moved and I put everything in my Instant Pot and went to plug it in and realized the cord was missing lol. I panicked but then dumped it all in an equally big pot,  added a bit more water,  and brought to boil and then simmered until the noodles were done and liquid absorbed.  It turned out perfect!!! Even my extremely picky 6 year old tried it,  requested a bowl,  and ate the whole thing.  That never happens!

This is a weekly meal for my family. We like it with 10 ounces of spaghetti. We top it with stir-fry veggies, green onion, and sesame seeds. I have to follow a gluten free diet. I had a box of GF spaghetti in the pantry that I had never used beforehand.  My husband bought it on mistake.  My usual brand is Barilla GF spaghetti. I tried making the meal with the random GF spaghetti and it was super sticky. Much like eating noodles with slime. I’m going to try it with Barilla GF spaghetti tonight.

Really enjoyed this recipe! I did not feel the need to add liquid as some other commenters noted. Also, I cut the recipe in half, but kept the same cooking time - just right for one person with a leftover portion for tomorrow. Added snow peas and some tofu. Very tasty.

What a wonderful, quick meal!  I used Lentil and Rice spaghetti from Trader Joe's.   I used 8 ounces of spaghetti.  I sauteed onions in the Instant Pot before adding the rest of the ingredients.  I steamed mushrooms, carrots, and broccoli.  There  was enough sauce to drizzle some over the veggies.  I added a tablespoon of cornstarch mixed with water to the noodles after cooking to thicken the sauce.  I'll make this over and over again!  It's a keeper for sure! This was delicious! I accidentally left out the garlic and doubled the rice wine vinegar.  I also broke the spaghetti in half and criss-crossed handfuls, so the broth I added evened out all the flavor. Added some thawed edamame and some fresh green onion at the end, and served it with some air fryer salmon (the sauce is good on the salmon too.) Going into the rotation,  and it has so many possibilities.

These 15 Minute Garlic Noodles made in the Instant Pot Pressure Cooker are so easy and delicious that will make your tastebuds dance!

Instant Pot Garlic Noodles Recipe

spaghetti

olive oil (Or butter)

6-8 garlic (minced (about 2 tablespoon))

schezwan sauce

rice vinegar (Or white vinegar

vegetable oyster sauce ((optional))

brown sugar ((can use honey too) ,optional)

water (Or vegetable broth)

salt (adjust

green onion

Firstly, turn on SAUTE mode on Instant Pot. Once hot, add 1 tablespoon olive oil, minced garlic, and saute for a few seconds.

Then add water or vegetable broth and sauces like soy sauce, schezwan sauce, tomato ketchup, rice vinegar, brown sugar, salt. Stir well.

Break the spaghetti noodles into half, place them criss-cross in the pot and make sure they are spread out in the pot and covered by the liquid.

Close the lid on the pot. Cook at High Pressure for 5 Minutes for Aldente.

Once the pot beeps, Wait for 2-3 minutes, and then Quick Pressure Release the remaining pressure manually.

Stir and separate the noodles using tongs, if you see any clumps. There is a possibility of some water being left in the pot. But they will get absorbed as you stir the noodles.

Sprinkle sliced green spring onions and white sesame seeds just before serving Instant Pot Asian Sesame Garlic Noodles.

Instant Pot Method:

In a large pot add broth or water. Cook the spaghetti according to package directions. Drain noodles and set aside.

Heat the olive oil in a skillet or wok on medium-low, add the garlic and saute for few seconds.

Add the cooked spaghetti, soy sauce, schezwan sauce, rice vinegar, vegetarian oyster sauce, brown sugar and toss well.

Sprinkle sliced green spring onions and sesame seeds just before serving.

Stovetop Pot Method:

I was craving some sort of Asian noodle/lo mein type dish and did not want to spend money on takeout. I had all of the necessary ingredients on handand threw this together quickly. Very very delicious! My 18 year old said it was amazing and that I needed to make it again or give him the recipe to try in the instant pot.

Have tried it with more quantity spaghetti.
