Quick and easy 10-minute Instant Pot steak tacos are a healthy and skinny meal. Tacos are loaded with fresh salsa, cilantro, and juicy steak.

Instant Pot 10-Minute Steak Tacos (Carne Asada)

oz Butcher Box sirloin steak (fat trimmed and

red onion (chopped)

tomatoes (chopped)

Mexican cheese (shredded)

tbsp crema or sour cream

tbsp authentic salsa (one tablespoon per taco)

olive oil

cilantro (chopped)

Trader Joe's Taco Seasoning

McCormick's Grill Mates Steak Rub and pepper

Turn the Instant Pot on the saute' function. When the pot displays "Hot" add the olive oil to the pot.

Season the Butcher Box steak with the seasonings. Add the steak to the pot.&nbsp;

Cook both sides of the steak for 2-3 minutes until the steak turns brown.

Remove the steak from the pot. Top the steak with cheese immediately if you prefer melted cheese on your tacos.

Turn the oven on Broil. When heated, add the corn tortillas to the oven. Place the tortillas directly on an oven rack. Allow the tortillas to warm for a couple of minutes.

Remove the tortillas and add the steak, crema,&nbsp;salsa, and tomatoes. Sprinkle the cilantro throughout.

Instant Pot Steak Fajitas are done in less than 15 minutes! The steak strips, peppers and onions explode with flavor! This is an easy meal for a busy week night.

Instant Pot Steak Fajitas

water

pkg au jus seasoning mix

lb stir fry beef (or

bell peppers (sliced)

onion

pkg dry ranch dressing mix

dry Italian dressing mix

tsp chili powder

Add the water and au jus seasoning mix to the liner of the Instant Pot. Stir to combine.

Add the bell peppers and onion to the Instant Pot followed by the thinly sliced beef.&nbsp;

Lock the lid, set the knob to sealing. Cook on Manual HIGH for 3 minutes. Allow for a 5 minute NPR then quick release the remaining pressure.

Discard the liquid in the Instant Pot.&nbsp;

Turn the Instant Pot on to Sauté. Add the ranch dressing mix, Italian dressing mix and chili powder to the Instant Pot. Stir to coat the meat, peppers and onions in the seasonings. Continue to 'brown' the meat if desired, but it isn't necessary.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Enjoy wrapped in a warm tortilla with cheese, sour cream, guacamole, cilantro.. really anything you'd like!

How to make steak in your Instant Pot so it's juicy and cooked perfectly every time!

The best Instant Pot Steak recipes make succulent, fall-apart-tender steak. This one is SO good. Quick and easy with the tastiest pan sauce.

Instant Pot Steak Recipe with Easy Pan Sauce (Fall-Apart Tender!)

sirloin

tsp kosher salt

tsp pepper

garlic (minced)

beef broth

Worcestershire sauce

thyme

tbsp butter

cornstarch

Season steak with salt and pepper. In the Instant Pot on sauté setting, heat olive oil and sear steaks for 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside. In the same pot, sauté onions and garlic until soft. Add beef broth to deglaze the pot, scraping up browned bits.

Return steaks to the pot and add Worcestershire sauce, and thyme. Seal the lid, cook on high pressure for 20 minutes, then allow 10 minutes natural pressure release.

Remove steaks. Set Instant Pot to sauté.

Melt butter in the liquid, then add cornstarch slurry (mix cornstarch with water) to thicken the sauce, stirring constantly until it reaches desired consistency. Adjust seasoning if needed.

Cook time was way too long!  I’ve never cooked sirloin in instant pot so this was first time.  Unfortunately, once you cook out all the juices in the meat there is no getting them back.  The gravy did help w/dryness.  Found another recipe that calls for 2-5 min on high PC w/quick release will try this next time.

Instant pot steak is very different from grilled steak. It's succulent and fall-apart tender, but more like a braise than a quick sear on a bbq!
