This is the best Chicken Wings recipe made with dry rub seasoning and delicious BBQ sauce! The best part is you can make it in your Instant Pot in just 30 minutes! It will be a great easy appetizer for Super Bowl party or a Summer cookout!

The Best Instant Pot Chicken Wings

salt

black pepper

garlic powder

onion powder

paprika

cayenne

oregano

thyme

chicken wings

BBQ sauce

In a small mixing bowl, mix all the seasoning together (1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp  black pepper, 1/4 tsp  garlic powder, 1/4 tsp onion powder, 1/4 tsp paprika, 1/8 tsp cayenne, 1/2 tsp oregano, 1/2 tsp thyme).

Rinse and pat dry 2 pounds of chicken wings. Add the seasoning and toss well until it evenly covered.

In the Pressure Cooker, add 1 cup water and place the trivet in the pot.

Put the seasoned meat on top of the trivet.

Close the pot with the lid and set it to Manual High Pressure for 6 minutes.

When done, let it naturally release pressure for 10 minutes.

Then, take the wings out to a large mixing bowl, add 1/2 cup BBQ sauce and mix well.

Transfer the BBQ chicken wings to a baking sheet with a wire rack. If you have some remaining BBQ sauce left in the mixing bowl, brush it over the wings with a baking brush.

Broil for 5-10 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and has char.

Instant Pot Chicken Wings are ready in less than 30 minutes, these Buffalo Chicken Wings are the most tender and flavorful chicken wings and they are made with completely clean ingredients! Make Instant Pot Chicken Wings from fresh or frozen.

Instant Pot Chicken Wings (Fresh or Frozen)

1.5 lbs chicken drumettes also called party wings

unrefined sea salt

water

hot sauce

Tablespoons ghee

Tablespoon *raw honey (see note below to make whole30 compliant)

Carrot sticks

Celery sticks

Sprinkle the salt and pepper evenly over the wings so all sides are seasoned.

Pour water into the bottom of the Instant Pot then place the metal trivet in the bottom of the Instant Pot.

Place the wings on the trivet, stacking as many as needed.

Place the lid on the Instant Pot, lock and set the valve to sealing.

For Fresh Wings

Select pressure cook / manual on high for 10 minutes.

While the wings cook make the buffalo sauce in a small saucepan over low heat. Mix the hot sauce, ghee, honey and garlic powder until smooth and combined then set aside.

Once the cooking has finished, allow the pressure to naturally release for 5 minutes, then quick release all remaining pressure.

Remove the wings from the Instant Pot using tongs and place them in a large mixing bowl.

Pour half of the buffalo sauce over top the chicken wings and gently toss the wings until fully coated.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper place an oven safe wire rack on top of the parchment paper. Arrange the wings on the wire rack evenly spaced. (If you don&#8217;t have an oven safe wire rack you can place the wings right on the parchment paper but they won&#8217;t get as crisp.

Broil the chicken wings under high heat for 2-3 minutes per side until the skin is crisp.

Once the wings are crispy remove them from the oven and brush each wing with the remaining buffalo sauce.

Serve with carrot sticks, celery sticks and ranch dressing. Enjoy!

Really surprisingly amazing wings! They looked easy and good and it turned out they were actually stupid easy and really incredible! Fall off the bone, juicy, and a nice zesty moderately spicy sauce which was not too sweet. I'll definitely be making again regularly. My husband asked if we could invite people over for wing night and serve these. Haha

Kind of spicy, kind of sweet and a whole lot of sticky in all the best ways are what these Instant Pot Korean Gochujang Sticky Chicken Wings are all about! They quickly became my FAVORITE wing flavor!

Korean Gochujang Sticky Chicken Wings (Instant Pot)

chicken wings, thawed

Tbl sesame oil

tsp rice vinegar

tsp kosher salt

tsp black pepper

tsp red chili flakes

chili

honey

garlic (about 2-3 large cloves)

ginger,

green onions

White sesame seeds

Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and place a cooling rack inside; set aside. Place your oven rack to the upper third tray.

In a large bowl whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, chili flakes, Gochujang, honey, garlic, and ginger. Place your wings in the bowl and gently toss/stir to coat all of the wings. Allow to rest for 10 minutes. If you’re in a hurry you can skip this part and dump it all into the Instant Pot/Pressure Cooker. After resting, add the wings and the marinade liquid to the Instant Pot.

Close the lid on your IP, set the cooking time to 10 minutes/High pressure. If your wings are frozen set it to 12 minutes/High pressure. When the time is up, carefully do a quick release.

With tongs, remove the wings to the rimmed baking sheet and set the IP to sauté or brown function as you’ll need to thicken up the sauce. Depending on how watery your wings were your sauce can take 10-25 minutes to get to a thickened state. Just stir often to not burn. The sauce should be thick enough to coat the back of the spoon. Once it gets to that state, remove it from the pot and place in a container.

While the sauce is thickening up, place the wings in the oven under the broiler for a few minutes to crisp up the skin on both sides (~5-8 minutes per side). By this time the sauce should be thick enough to baste the wings. Slather the wings with the thickened sauce and broil just for a minute as you want to slightly char the sauce but not burn it.

Remove from the oven and sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions. Store the remaining sauce in the fridge for up to a week.

Pressure Cook Chicken Wings: Pour 1 cup (250ml) cold water in Instant Pot Pressure Cooker. Place a steamer basket in Instant Pot, then add chicken wings and drumettes in the steamer basket. Close lid and pressure cook at High Pressure for 5 minutes + Full Natural Release. Open the lid carefully.

Preheat Airfryer: While Instant Pot is naturally releasing, dial airfryer to 400°F and set the timer to 10 minutes.If Using Oven: While Instant Pot is naturally releasing, preheat oven to 450°F.

Pat Dry Chicken Wings: Remove wings and drumettes from Instant Pot. Pat them really dry with paper towels.

Apply Sauce and Place in Airfryer: In a large mixing bowl, toss wings and drumettes with ½ cup (125ml) BBQ sauce. Add chicken wings and drumettes in the airfryer basket. Airfry until sauce is glossy and caramelized (~5–10 mins).After 2 - 3 minutes, take out the airfryer basket, then give it a toss to make sure the chicken wings brown evenly.If Using Oven: Place chicken wings and drumettes in a single layer on a wire rack in a baking tray. Bake until the sauce is glossy and caramelize (~8–15 mins).
