Cornbread Jalapeño Poppers Are The Most Genius Use Of Jiffy Mix

Party worthy cheese ball filled with all of your favorite jalapeno popper flavors like crispy smoked bacon, zesty minced jalapenos, sharp cheddar, smooth cream cheese and sweet green onions

Jalapeno Popper Cheese Ball

boxes (8 ounces) cream cheese

garlic powder

onion powder

cheddar cheese (reserve ½ cup)

crispy cooked bacon chopped (reserve half)

jalapenos minced (reserve half)

onions

Using a stand or hand mixer on medium speed beat your cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder and black pepper until smooth and creamy.  Turn to low and mix in 1 1/2 cups of cheddar cheese, half of the chopped bacon, half of the minced jalapeno, and half of the chopped green onions. Combine your reserved cheddar, bacon, jalapenos and green onions in a small zipper storage bag and store in the refrigerator.

Lay out a large piece of plastic wrap on a counter top.  Spoon the cheese into a ball shape and bring up the sides of the plastic wrap to cover the cheese ball.  Utilize the wrapping process to help shape the cheese into a ball.  Refrigerate the cheese ball overnight.

Remove the cheese ball about 20 minutes prior to serving.  Spread your reserved cheddar, bacon, jalapenos and green onions on a cutting board or large plate.  Unwrap the ball and roll in the reserved toppings.

We were planning a happy hour and I saw the recipe. I decided it looked perfect. I made it and instead of a ball, I made it into a cheese log to cut easier. It was perfect!!!  This will be a staple of my party planning in the future.

Made this on Monday and had for Thanksgiving on Thursday.  I left out the chopped onions as my family is not a fan.  They all loved it!  I made it into 2 balls and they fought over the leftovers to take home with them.  Will make this again for the Christmas holidays.

I had everything on hand except for chives so I substituted half of the mayo for sour cream with chives. The dressing was cool and creamy. Delicious. Next time I will try the recipe as written.

We made this from the summer magazine and loved it. Definitely the hottest potato salad we've ever had with all that jalapeno!

Buffalo Chicken Jalapeño Bites with Beer Cheese Dip

FRANK'S RedHot® Buffalo Wings Sauce divided

(4 oz) cream cheese

chicken

Cheddar cheese divided

jalapeño peppers halved, seeds and ribs removed

Fontina cheese

Gruyere cheese

cornstarch

(12 oz) Bud Light® beer

step 1

MIX 1/2 cup of the Buffalo Wings Sauce and cream cheese in large bowl until smooth. Stir in chicken, 1/3 cup of the shredded Cheddar and bacon. Fill each jalapeño half with about 1 tablespoon filling mixture. Sprinkle filled jalapeños evenly with remaining 2/3 cup shredded Cheddar.

PREHEAT air fryer on 370°F for 3 minutes. Spray basket with no stick cooking spray. Working in batches, place jalapeño poppers in single layer in fryer basket. Air fry 8 to 10 minutes, until heated through and cheese is golden brown. Repeat with remaining poppers.

MEANWHILE, place shredded Fontina and Gruyere cheese in large bowl. Add cornstarch and toss until cheese is coated. Bring beer to simmer in small saucepan. Gradually add cheese, stirring constantly until melted and smooth. Transfer hot beer cheese to serving bowl; swirl in remaining 1/4 cup Buffalo Wings Sauce. Serve jalapeño poppers with beer cheese for dipping.

<b>Test Kitchen Tip:</b> To bake poppers in the oven instead of air frying, preheat oven to 400°F. Arrange poppers in single layer on large foil-lined baking pan sprayed with no stick cooking spray. Bake 20 minutes or until bubbly and browned.
