Banana "Churros"

Cooking spray

Combine 2 Tbsp sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon together in a small bowl, mix well and set aside.

Heat a skillet (I recommend cast iron) over medium heat and spray with cooking spray.

Slice 2 bananas into rounds and place into skillet.

Allow to cook for 2 minutes then sprinkle with half of the cinnamon sugar mixture and allow to cook for an additional minute.

Flip the banana slices and sprinkle on the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture.

Allow the bananas to cook an additional 2 minutes, until soft.

Condensed Milk Rice Krispies Treats are a rich and creamy twist on the classic. Sweetened condensed milk adds a bakery-style softness and chewiness to these large, indulgent bars. They’re easy to make with just 5 ingredients and perfect for any occasion!

Condensed Milk Rice Krispies Treats

Cooking spray (or butter for the pan)

salted butter ((1 1/2 sticks))

sweetened condensed milk

vanilla bean paste (or vanilla extract)

Rice Krispies cereal

sprinkles (optional)

Coat a deep 13x9 inch pan with cooking spray, or butter the pan with softened butter; set aside.

In a large stockpot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla bean paste. Stir well until combined. Reduce the heat to medium-low.

Add the mini marshmallows. Stir constantly until the marshmallows are completely melted and combined with the other ingredients.

Remove the pan from the heat and immediately add the Rice Krispies cereal. Mix the cereal into the melted marshmallow mixture, turning it over from bottom to top to coat all of the cereal.

Pour the mixture into the prepared pan. Press the treat mixture into the pan using a piece of parchment paper on top, or with buttered hands. Gently press into the pan – don’t pack it too firmly. Add sprinkles to the top, if using.

Let set for 1 hour, or until completely cooled before turning the block out and slicing into bars. You can also place the pan in the refrigerator to speed setting and to firm the block of cereal treats for the neatest slices. Please note that chilling too long can make the treats firmer than intended, so they should be brought to room temperature before serving.

For large, bakery style treats, slice the slab into five even sections width-wise, then once down the center lengthwise to create 10 large rectangular bars.

Store the treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Keep them in a cool, dry place to prevent melting or stickiness.

This naturally sweetened summer mango granita is the perfect way to end a backyard dinner. This Italian dessert is a must try for any summer party.

3 Ingredient Mango Granita

mangoes (about 2 cups worth)

lime (about 4 tablespoons)

lime

maple syrup (or to taste)

water

salt

Wash and dry the mango. Peel the mango and discard the skin.

Cut the mango away from the pit and discard the pit. Chop it into small chunks. Place the chunks into a food processor or blender.

Using a nutmeg grater, get the rind off the lime and add it to the blender.

Cut the lime into half and squeeze all the juice into the blender as well.

Add the water and salt to the blender.

Blend everything so that it's finely pureed.

Place the blended mango into a freezer safe container and cover it with a lid. Place the container into the freezer and let it freeze for about an hour.

Remove it from the freezer and using a fork, scrape the semi frozen mango. Once all of it has been scraped, place it back into the freezer for another hour or so.

Repeat step 8 twice more.

Serve the frozen mango granita as a dessert on a hot summer day and enjoy it frozen.
