The perfect party appetizer that everyone will love!

Mexican Fiesta 7 Layer Dip

oz jar of restaurant salsa ((or homemade))

refried beans

chicken

oz cream cheese, (softened)

sour cream

lime

Tbsp taco seasoning

guacamole

Mexican blend shredded cheese

pico de gallo

green onions, (sliced)

cilantro, (optional garnish)

lime, juiced, (optional garnish)

Drain salsa in fine mesh sieve.  This keeps your dip from getting too wet.

Add beans to a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 30 seconds.  Stir in chicken broth, or use 2-3 Tbsp of the drained salsa liquid for extra flavor!

Spread bean mixture evenly into an 8x8, 7x9, or other 2 quart baking dish.

Use a hand-mixer to combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, lime zest, and taco seasoning.  Spread evenly on top of bean mixture.

Spread guacamole evenly over cream cheese layer, then top with drained salsa.

Top with shredded cheese, pico de gallo, and then green onions.

Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes, to 1 day.  Before serving, if desired, squeeze some lime juice over the top and sprinkle with cilantro.  This is optional, but delicious.

Serve with tortilla chips or veggies.

The Best 7-Layer Dip Recipes Ever

Simple Version

Tbsp salsa roja

avocado

cheddar cheese

Roma tomatoes

scallions

Tbsp sliced black olives

Tbsp cilantro leaves

sea salt

pepper

Sophisticated Version

0.5 lbs lean ground beef

Tbsp finely chopped red onion

Tbsp finely chopped jalapeño pepper

Tbsp chopped cilantro

tomato tomato

white onion

Tbsp coarsely chopped Jalapeño pepper

Simple Version: Mash the avocado in a small bowl and season with juice of half a lime and sea salt and pepper to taste.Then in a clear container layer refried beans, then mashed avocado, then sour cream, then shredded cheese, then diced tomatoes and sliced scallions, then sliced olives and a few leaves of cilantro for garnish.

Sophisticated Version:Preheat a large pan over medium heat and once hot add a drizzle of oil and brown the ground beef in it. Season the beef with sea salt, pepper, and at the end salsa roja. Once cooked through set aside to cool down.Prepare guacamole by mashing the avocado, then add finely chopped red onion, jalapeño pepper, and cilantro and season with juice of 1/2 a lime and sea salt and pepper.Prepare the pico de gallo by dicing the tomato, then add coarsely chopped white onion, jalapeño, and cilantro and season with juice of 1/2 a lime and sea salt and pepper.Then in a clear container layer refried beans, then guacamole, then sour cream, then shredded cheese, then pico de gallo, then sliced black olives.

Dip tortilla chips into your dip and scoop up as much as possible and enjoy!
