Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine all the above in a bowl and mix until smooth.

Scrape into a baking dish. Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until the top browns – the browner it gets the more flavorful it will be.

Note: Don’t cook at higher than 375 degrees or you run the risk of separating your cheese which will make the dip greasy. For best results, don’t use low-fat anything. When making this Hot Onion Dip, you’ve got to live it up!

Home made French onion dip is made with caramelized onions in a creamy, cheesy dip and is utterly delicious.

Keto French Onion Dip

onions (finely chopped)

butter

garlic (minced)

oz cream cheese (softened)

sour cream

mayonnaise

onion powder

cayenne pepper

salt

black pepper

Heat the butter on a medium heat in a medium frying pan.

Add the onions, garlic, salt, pepper, cayenne pepper and onion powder.

Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, then turn the heat down to low and cook for 15-20 minutes until the onions are soft and golden.  Remove and allow to cool.

In a medium bowl mix the cream cheese, sour cream and mayonnaise until smooth.  Stir in the cooked onions.

Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes for the flavours to develop before serving.
