A classic grilled cheese meets peanut butter and jam for one delicious mash up! This grilled peanut butter and jam sandwich is sweet, savoury, cheesy, and simply delicious. If you&#039;re looking for a new snack or lunch idea, this grilled pb and j is a must try!

Grilled PB and J Sandwich With Cheese

peanut butter (or your favourite variety)

jam or jelly (use your favourite flavour)

sandwich bread (your favourite variety)

cheddar cheese (I

Spread peanut butter on one side of two slices of bread. Spread jam on one side of the other two slices of bread.

Top jam with shredded cheddar cheese.

Place peanut butter bread over top of jam/cheese bread to form each sandwich. Spread butter on outsides of the bread slices.Note: The quantity of each condiment you use could vary, depending on how large your slices of bread are.

Heat a 10-inch or 12-inch cast-iron skillet over medium-low to medium heat. Place sandwiches in the pan. Cook the sandwiches for about 4 to 5 minutes on one side.

Carefully flip the sandwiches to the other side and continue to cook for another 4 to 5 minutes or until they&#39;re golden brown and crispy outside and the cheese is melted inside. Watch so things don&#39;t burn. Serve and enjoy!

Caramelized Onion, Mushroom, and Swiss Melt

vegetable oil (divided)

onion

baby portabella mushrooms (sliced)

salt

Swiss cheese (divided)

bread ((Italian, French, sourdough,

unsalted butter (room temperature)

In a skillet over medium-high heat, add 2 tsp. of vegetable oil. When oil is hot, add the onions and 1/2 tsp. of salt and cook until dark brown in color and softened. Halfway through, you’ll want to turn down the heat to medium heat. Caramelizing onions will take about 20-30 minutes. If you notice that your pan is getting slightly dry, adding a tablespoon of water will help the caramelizing along. The water should sizzle and quickly evaporate. You’re not trying to have the water stay in the bottom of the skillet while cooking the onions.

When the onions are caramelized, remove from skillet and place in a bowl. Add the remaining 1 tsp. of vegetable oil to the skillet and add the mushrooms and remaining 1/2 tsp. of salt. Cook the mushrooms until softened, about 5 minutes. Remove from skillet; keeping the liquid that has accumulated in the skillet.

Preheat broiler in oven.

Take the room temperature butter and butter both sides of bread. Place bread on to a baking sheet and place under broiler for about 1 minute each side. Carefully remove bread from baking sheet and on an even surface, begin to assemble your sandwich.

Place caramelized onions on one slice of bread, then the mushrooms on top, then 1/4 cup of shredded Swiss cheese. Gently place on baking sheet. Repeat with another slice of bread. Place baking sheet into the oven and broil for 1-2 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove from oven and place the remaining two slices of bread on top of each and gently press down.

Slice sandwiches in half and serve!

Soy Glazed Beef Wrapped Asparagus

thinly slices of beef

asparagus

Black Pepper (As needed)

tbsp Soy Sauce

tbsp Oyster Sauce

dashi powder

Sugar

water

Green onion

sesame seeds

Wrap two thin slices of beef around the asparagus, roll it up, and rest it opening side facing down. Season with black pepper.

For the sauce, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, dashi powder, sugar, and water.

Drizzle pan into an oil, and turn heat to medium-high. Add in the beef-rolled asparagus, and pan-fry for 2-3 minutes on each side

Drizzle in the sauce, cover and let it cook for 2-3 minutes or until the sauce has thickened.

Garnish with green onion and sesame seeds and enjoy!
