<p>With its celebrated presence in milkshakes and iconic candies (i.e. Milky Ways® and Whoppers), malt is a flavor that can easily transport us to our childhood. This tart marries that classic, nostalgic combination of milk chocolate and malt with the sophistication of a hazelnut crust and the elegance of our rectangular tart pan.</p>

Combining oats and yogurt for breakfast isn't news, but putting them together in a pancake is a delicious (and wholesome) way to upgrade your short stack. Oat flour and yogurt come together to make for delightfully tender and fluffy pancakes. Top with berries and a drizzle of maple syrup to start your day off on a sweet note!

The combination of chocolate, sourdough, and whole wheat makes an incredibly light and crisp base for any waffle dessert you can dream up. These waffles are especially good made in a Belgian-style waffle iron, but may be made in a traditional waffle iron, as well.

The essence of soda fountain greatness, this creamy ice cream is rich with the smoky taste of malted milk, and swirled throughout with malted chocolate fudge. The recipe makes extra fudge sauce for a chocolate malted sundae.

Malted Milk Ice Cream

(340 grams) milk

(340 grams) heavy cream

(106 grams) malted milk powder

(99 grams) granulated sugar

(39 grams) light corn syrup

(57 grams) half-and-half

This homemade chocolate malt ice cream is creamy with the perfect crunch from chocolate-covered malted milk balls!

Chocolate Malted Crunch Ice Cream

milk chocolate chips (high quality)

milk

heavy whipping cream

malted milk powder

vanilla extract

chocolate-covered malted milk balls (like Whoppers, crushed)

Freeze a 9-inch round pan and your ice cream maker according to its instructions.

Place the chocolate chips in a small bowl and set aside. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and sugar until light and fluffy.

In a medium saucepan, heat the milk, cream, malted milk, vanilla extract and salt over medium-low heat until it&#39;s just about simmering, not boiling.

Pour the hot mixture over the chocolate chips just until they&#39;re completely covered, then place a plate on top of the bowl to trap the heat for 5 minutes.In the meantime, while stirring constantly, pour about 1/2 cup of the hot mixture into the yolks. Then carefully pour the yolk mixture into the pot of remaining cream, again while constantly stirring.Return to the bowl of chocolate and stir the mixture with a small rubber spatula until it&#39;s smooth. While stirring, pour the chocolate mixture into the pot.

Continue whisking everything in the pot over medium-low heat until it&#39;s thickened very slightly and gently simmering.

Strain the ice cream mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a medium heat-proof bowl and let cool to room temperature, whisking occasionally. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Day 1

Set up your ice cream machine and whisk the cold ice cream mixture. Pour the mixture into the machine and churn according to its instructions.When the mixture is thick like soft ice cream (time will vary depending on the ice cream machine but it takes me about 30 minutes in my Kitchenaid ice cream attachment), add about 3/4 of the crushed malted milk balls and continue churning for 3-5 minutes.

Spread the ice cream into the cold round pan, sprinkle with the remaining malt balls, cover and freeze overnight.

Day 2

Malted Milk Biscuits - but not as you know them. These treats have classic malt biscuit flavours combined with the stability &amp; snap of sugar cookies. They are very versatile.Please note:&nbsp;these biscuits are intentionally sturdy/ firm. If you are looking for a biscuit that crumbles at the mere sight of teeth, like a shortbread, this is not the recipe for you.

Malted Milk Biscuits

Butter (room temperature)

flour (all purpose flour)

Rice flour

200 g/ 1 cup Golden caster sugar

Egg - large, free range

tsp Vanilla extract

Salt

Icing sugar (Confectionary sugar)

tbsp Whole milk (Full fat milk)

tbsp Malted Milk Powder ((Horlicks original))

Cream the butter, sugar and malt powder together with electric beaters

Add the egg and vanilla extract. Beat again

Sieve the flours &amp; salt into the bow and stir to combine (or mix briefly with the beaters). Take care not to overmix else the dough will end up tough

Briefly knead the dough on a worktop, then flatten into a disc, wrap in clingfilm and chill for at least 1 hour

Roll to 5mm thickness and cut out circles/ shapes. Scoop up the offcuts and reroll to cut a few more biscuits. I used a 5 1/2 cm cutter to get approx 38 biscuits cut.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Place 2 cm apart on baking sheets lined with baking parchment and chill for 30-45 minutes

Preheat oven to 150C/ 300F/ GM2 and cook for 20-22 minutes until just beginning to colour. Turn the baking sheets midway through the cooking time as necessary to ensure an even bake

Remove from oven let and cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire&nbsp;rack to cool completely

Keeps well in an airtight tin at room temperature for up to 1 week

Make the Malted Milk Biscuits

Put the butter into a medium sized bowl and beat&nbsp;with electric beaters

Add half of the (sieved) icing sugar &amp; malt powder and beat until light&nbsp;and fluffy

Pour in the milk and vanilla extract and beat briefly

Sieve the rest of the icing sugar &amp; malt powder into the buttercream and beat until light

Use to sandwich pairs of biscuits together
