<p>Healthy and hearty brown rice mixed with spices and served in burger form with a spicy homemade mango sauce. A fantastic veggie burger!</p>


Brown Rice Burgers

brown rice, cooked

sweet onion, sauteed

cilantro,

garam masala

olive oil, divided

oat flour

Salt and pepper

buns,

avocado, sliced

pineapple

mango, cubed

Serrano peppers, with seeds

Tuna poke is a traditional Hawaiian salad of raw tuna marinated in soy sauce, sesame oil, and onions. Here it's served over sushi rice with your favorite toppings.

Tuna Poke Bowls

soy sauce (use gluten-free if necessary)

vegetable oil

sesame oil

honey

Sambal Oelek (see note)

ginger

scallions,

sushi-grade ahi tuna (such as yellowfin

sushi rice, cooked according to package instructions (any other type of rice

avocado

cucumber

Edamame

Pickled ginger

mango

Potato chips

Sesame seeds

In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, vegetable oil, sesame oil, honey, sambal oelek, ginger, and scallions. Add the tuna and toss. Let the mixture sit in the fridge for at least 15 minutes or up to 1 hour.   

To serve, scoop rice into bowls, top with tuna poke and desired toppings. You will have extra sauce for drizzling over the toppings; serve on the side.

Note: Sambal Oelek can be found in the Asian section of most supermarkets. It is sometimes labeled Chile Garlic Sauce. 

<p>An egg based vanilla pudding mixed with mango puree and topped with fresh mango. Very refreshing!</p>


Mango Pudding

Cups half-and half (I used 50% milk and 50% cream)

Cup sugar

Teaspoon vanilla extract

Eggs

Egg yolks

Ripe mango, mango puree

So long, lemons: We replaced everybody’s go-to citrus in these delightfully dense squares, jam-packed with mango purée.

Mango Squares

cup g) unbleached all-purpose flour

g) sugar

tsp powder

(75 g) unsalted butter, melted

tbsp

cup ml) mango purée (see note)

cup ml) lemon juice

With the rack in the middle position, preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Butter and line a square 8-inch (20 cm) cake pan with parchment paper, letting it hang over two sides.

In a bowl, combine all the ingredients until the dough has a grainy texture. Lightly press into the prepared pan. Bake for 15 minutes and let cool.

Crust

Meanwhile, in another bowl, combine the sugar and cornstarch. Whisk in the eggs. Stir in the mango purée and lemon juice. Pour onto the crust. 


Bake for 20 minutes or until the filling is set. Let cool on a wire rack. Cover with plastic wrap directly on the surface of the filling and refrigerate for 2 hours. Unmould and cut into squares. 

Filling

J’ai bien aimé mais beaucoup trop de citron et on ne goûte pas vraiment la mangue. La prochaine fois je les ferai avec seulement un peu de jus de citron. Deux cuillères à table sera sûrement suffisant.

Délicieux! C’est un peu surette à cause du citron mais le goût est merveilleux, surtout en été! C’est un bon dessert à déguster après un BBQ!

Très bon et frais. Super dessert d'été. Le goût de la mangue est subtil mais bien présent et se marie à merveille avec le citron. À refaire.

Bonjour, Tout d'abord merci pour la recette. Je l'ai fait hier et on a aimé. Par contre,  je ne suis pas certaine si la croûte est supposée être dure ou c'estmoi qui a raté la cuisson?? !! J'ai suis pour une première fois dans ma vie :) la rectte à la lettre mais je ne suis pas sur si j'ai reussi la texture ou non. Merci!

Très bon, définitivement plus un « carré au citron » mais reste excellent.

Simple à faire et très bon, mais le goût de la mangue est vraiment subtil, voire un peu trop!!

Je suis entrain de préparer mes desserts de Noël. Si la mention - peut se congeler- n’est pas mentionné, cela veut dire que sa ne se congèle pas? A chaque fois je fais le tour des commentaires pour voir si quelqu’un a posé la question!
Il y a t’il une manière plus simple de le savoir?

Vraiment bon.  Pourrait on congeler ce dessert?

Peeling, Cutting and Slicing a Mango

Coconut and Mango Rice Pudding

(400 ml) coconut milk

(625 ml) milk (see note)

(125 ml) white long grain rice

tsp (2.5 ml) vanilla extract (see note)

(125 ml) sugar

tbsp (45 ml) sugar

In a saucepan, bring the coconut milk, and milk to a gentle boil. Add the rice and simmer over low heat for about 30 minutes, stirring frequently, or until the rice is tender. Add the vanilla and sugar.

Transfer to a bowl and cover with plastic wrap directly on the surface of the rice pudding. Let cool and refrigerate until completely chilled.

Coconut Rice Pudding

Meanwhile, in a blender, purée the mango until smooth. Add a little water if needed. Add the sugar and stir until dissolved. Strain if desired.

Mango Coulis

To serve, divide the rice into 8 small bowls. With a spoon, swirl in the mango coulis.

Assembly

Absolument délicieux! J’ai utilisé du lait d’avoine et du sucre d’érable. Moi aussi j’avais un doute par rapport à la quantité de liquide qui semblait très grande par rapport à celle du riz, mais les proportions sont exactes. La texture finale est parfaite! Il faut bien recouvrir d’une pellicule de plastique; mon riz n’était pas du tout sec le lendemain.

J’ai modifié un peu la recette : j’ai remplacé environ 1/4 du lait de coco par de la crème à cuisson 15%, j’ai réduit le sucre de moitié et j’ai utilisé du riz au jasmin qui a donné une délicieuse arôme orientale ☺️ J’ai beaucoup aimé!

Est-il possible de faire cette recette dans votre cuiseur à riz vapeur ?

Peut-on remplacer le riz à grain long par du riz à grain rond comme le ardorio pour éviter d’avoir un riz durci après un séjour au frigo ...

pourrait-on mettre seulement du lait de coco?

comme a chaque année les girlz de magog ont eu leur journée go kart pudding au riz! Notre amie Carole aime pas le lait donc elle se prend un bol de simple riz mais elle trippe quand même!!Ont aiment bien rajouter un peu de piments de cayenne parce qu'ont aiment ça épicé .
C'est une tradition depuis plus de 5 ans pour nous, merci Ricardo!!!

Chaque fois que je fais ce pudding, c'est sûr qu'il n'en reste pas le lendemain!!! Tout le monde adore! Et à chaque fois, je m'amuse à faire un nouveau coulis, sois à l'ananas, mangue et ananas, fruit de la passion, etc... Ce soir, c'est un dessert pour les grands! Un coulis mangue, ananas et Soho ;)
