This Maple-Soy Glazed Salmon only requires FOUR ingredients and you wouldn’t believe how amazing it tastes! I love when I have recipes like this that call for such minimal ingredients yet yield such delicious results.

Soy-Maple Glazed Salmon

salmon fillets

Tbsp soy sauce ((not low-sodium))

garlic (, minced)

black pepper

In a mixing bowl whisk together maple syrup, soy sauce and garlic. Place salmon into a baking dish then pour maple syrup mixture evenly over salmon.

Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes, carefully rotating salmon once halfway through. Preheat oven to 400 degrees during last 10 minutes of marinating salmon.

Spray a 13 by 9 inch baking dish with cooking spray then transfer marinated salmon into greased dish (don't discard marinade). Bake in preheated oven until salmon is cooked through, about 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, pour marinade into a small saucepan, bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring frequently. Once it reaches a boil, reduce heat slightly and allow to cook several minutes, stirring frequently, until reduced to 1/4 cup.

Serve salmon warm with 1 Tbsp of the maple soy glaze drizzled over top and black pepper and green onions if desired (I don't think it needed salt because of the soy but feel free to add it if you think it needs it).

Spicy Glazed Maple Salmon for two makes the perfect weeknight dinner. All you need is 20 minutes to make this healthy meal. Serve with sweet potato fries and veggies, or a lovely kale and brussels sprouts salad!

Spicy Maple Glazed Salmon for Two!

- 6 oz wild salmon filets (12 oz total)

maple syrup

soy sauce

dijon mustard

chili powder

cayenne pepper

garlic clove,

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent the glaze from burning. Place salmon filets 2 inches apart on parchment paper.

In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, soy sauce, dijon mustard, chili powder, cayenne pepper and garlic. Pour or generously brush the glaze over the salmon, reserving 1 tablespoon for glazing once salmon is done. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until salmon is done and flakes with a fork. For every inch of salmon filet thickness, you’ll need to bake for 15 minutes. Usually 18 minutes is perfect for me.

Once salmon is done baking, remove from oven and pour remaining glaze on top. Enjoy! Serves 2.

Preheat your oven to broil. Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray.

In a small bowl, mix together the chili powder, paprika, sugar, and salt

Generously sprinkle the chili powder mixture evenly over the tops of the salmon fillets.

Place the salmon on the prepared baking sheet and broil for 6-9 minutes, depending on how thick your fillets are and how crispy you prefer the crust.*

Remove the salmon from the oven and brush the maple syrup over the tops to coat the spice rub. Return to the oven and broil for an additional 1-2 minutes until the maple syrup is bubbling and has formed a crust. Serve immediately.

Maple Glazed Salmon

maple syrup, preferable Dark Robust

Stir soy sauce, maple syrup, vinegar, ginger and crushed red pepper in a baking dish. 

Lay salmon skinned side up in the marinade and refrigerate 30 minutes to 1 hour.  

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Line a large roasting pan or rimmed baking sheet with foil.

Lay salmon on the foil, skinned side down. Roast until the fish is just barely cooked in the center for medium, about 9 to 15 minutes. 

Meanwhile, pour the marinade into a small saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium-high heat. Simmer until thick and syrupy, 6 to 9 minutes. 

Pour the reduction over the fish before serving.

Rinse and pat dry the salmon fillets. Place them in a shallow glass baking dish.

In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, soy sauce, oil, garlic, ginger and pepper.

Add to the salmon and turn to coat.  Marinate with the skin side facing up.

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes, turning it once or twice.

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Transfer the salmon to a parchment-lined baking dish. Reserve the marinade.

Bake in the oven for about 15 minutes or until the fish turns opaque. 

While the salmon is baking, place the marinade in a small saucepan.

Bring to a rapid boil and whisk for 1 minute.

Reduce heat to medium-high and simmer for about 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened. Don&#39;t forget to whisk.

Plate the salmon and brush thickened glaze over the top.

Garnish with sliced green onions.

Preheat the oven to 425°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray. Spread the sweet potatoes and broccoli onto the prepared pan. Drizzle with 2 tablespoons of olive oil, or more as needed to fully coat the vegetables. Toss the vegetables in the oil and season with salt and pepper, to taste. Roast for 10-15 minutes, or until the potatoes are almost fork-tender.

While the potatoes and broccoli are roasting, prepare the glaze for the salmon. In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, mustard, ¼ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon pepper.

Remove the vegetables from the oven and turn the oven setting to BROIL on “high.” Push the broccoli and potatoes to the outer edges of the sheet pan to make room in the center for the fish. Place the salmon in the center of the tray, leaving at least ½-inch of space in between each fillet so that the fish cooks evenly. Brush the maple glaze on top of each piece of salmon.

Broil for 7-10 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the top is browned and crispy. The potatoes and broccoli should be roasted and tender as well. The total broiling time will depend on the size and thickness of your fish. If the potatoes and/or broccoli start to get too dark before the salmon is done, just use a spatula to transfer the vegetables to a separate plate. Return the fish to the oven until it&#39;s finished.
