This steak marinade is made with olive oil, soy sauce, garlic, lemon, herbs and spices, and takes just 5 minutes to put together. It adds tons of flavor to any cut of beef and can be used for grilled, broiled or sauteed marinated steak.

Steak Marinade

Place all the ingredients in a bowl or in a resealable gallon sized freezer bag. Mix to combine.

Add steaks to the marinade. Marinate for at least 1 hour, or up to 24 hours.

Cook steak as desired. Marinade makes enough for 2 pounds of steak.

Marinated Fiesta Steak Tips

Add the beef tips to a large resealable bag or a glass dish.

Add the ingredients for the marinade to a small bowl and whisk to combine. Pour the marinade over the meat and stir to make sure that all the beef is coated in the marinade.

Marinate the beef in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours and up to overnight. The longer you marinade the beef, the more flavor it will have.

Remove the beef tips from the marinade and dry well with paper towels. Discard the remaining marinade.

Add a thin layer of canola, avocado or vegetable oil to a large skillet. You want the meat in a dingle layer and not touching, so the largest skillet that you have. Or you can brown the meat in batches.

Sear the beef on each for about 3-4 minutes until a crust forms. You&#8217;ll want the beef to be medium, to medium rare so that it&#8217;s not tough. Turn the beef tips over and sear on the other side for another 3-4 minutes. Remove to a platter and cover with foil. Let the steak rest for at least 5 minutes before serving.

Place the beef tips on a baking sheet sprayed with cooking spay. Add the beef tips in a single layer, spaced apart. Cook for 5 minutes, then turn the beef tips over and cook for another 5 minutes on the other side. (See note)

Remove the beef to a serving bowl and pour any juices from the bottom of the baking sheet over the beef tips.

This technique was new to me and works so well! Will use this a lot.

This homemade Hunan Beef is one of my favorite one-pan meals. It&#039;s got juicy, marinated flank steak in a rich, savory sauce, with fresh peppers and a little heat. Whether you serve it with steamed rice, steamed vegetables, or enjoy it on its own, this delicious dish will become a regular in your meal rotation!

Hunan Beef

flank steak (thinly sliced)

cornstarch

neutral oil

shallots (thinly sliced)

garlic (minced)

ginger (sliced)

Fresno peppers (thinly sliced)

green bell pepper (chopped, seeds removed)

red bell pepper (chopped, seeds removed)

scallions (chopped)

avocado oil

oyster sauce

water

soy sauce (see Notes)

sugar (see Notes)

rice vinegar

In large bowl, whisk together avocado oil, oyster sauce, and water to make marinade. Add sliced flank steak to bowl and coat with marinade. Cover bowl and marinate steak 30 minutes.

Toward end of marinating time, whisk together soy sauce, sugar, and rice vinegar to make sauce. Set aside.

After 30 minutes, remove steak from marinade and transfer to another large bowl. Add cornstarch and toss or stir to very lightly coat steak.

In large frying pan or wok, heat ¼ cup neutral oil over medium-high heat. When hot, add steak, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Work in batches if necessary. Cook steak until brown and crispy on each side.

Remove steak from pan and set aside. Drain pan, leaving 2 tablespoons of oil. Add ginger to oil and cook until fragrant, approximately 1 to 2 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking or burning.

Add sliced shallots and minced garlic to frying pan. Cook until fragrant, approximately 1 to 2 minutes, then add Fresno peppers. Cook approximately 30 seconds to 1 minute. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking or burning.

Add chopped green and red bell peppers and cook 2 to 3 minutes, until peppers soften slightly. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking or burning.

Return flank steak to frying pan. Pour in sauce, then add scallions. Stir to coat. Cook until sauce is completely absorbed.

Serve hot on its own or with rice.

This easy marinated steak recipe uses a couple key store-bought ingredients with lots of flavor. Throw these on the grill anytime of year!

Jake’s Grillin’ Beef Rub ((or similar coffee rub, to taste; optional))

Place the steaks into a ziploc bag, along with the marinade. Press all the air out, making sure the entire surface of the steak is coated in marinade, front and back. Refrigerate and marinate overnight.

1 to 2 hours before you’re ready to grill, take the steaks out of the fridge and let sit at room temperature for at least 1 hour, or up to 2 hours. Preheat your grill until it’s searing hot! Aim for 450-500°F.

If using a gas or regular charcoal grill, place the hickory chips in a bit of heavy duty foil, and place in the grill (for gas, just place on the grate; for charcoal, nestle it among the briquettes), to impart a smoky flavor to the steaks. If using a grill with hardwood lump charcoal (which already gives the meat a smoky flavor), adding hickory chips is not required.

Just before grilling the steaks, you can add the optional coffee rub. Adding coffee rub gives the steaks a different, more complex flavor, although some prefer more or less (see discussion above). How much you use is your preference!

When the grill is hot, place the steaks on the grill and cover. After a couple minutes, check the steaks. Turn them 45° to 90° to get those grill marks. Cover the grill again,  then flip them every 3 minutes, leaving the grill covered in between turns for 12 minutes total cooking time.

This will give you medium rare for a steak that’s 1.75 inches (4.5 cm) thick. If your steaks are thinner, you may need less time. If you’d like your steak cooked more well done, you can cook them a bit longer. Ribeye is actually one of those cuts that actually tastes pretty good at both medium rare and medium.

Skirt Steak Marinade

Combine balsamic, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic, salt, pepper, and olive oil and whisk vigorously.

Combine steak and marinade in a ziploc bag, press out excess air, seal.

Marinate 30 minutes or up to 2 hours. Use tongs to transfer steak to a preheated grill or cast iron pan over medium-high heat.  minutes before slicing and serving.

Cook for 6-8 minutes on each side til cooked to desired doneness. Rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

This is the best marinated flank steak recipe you will ever try. It&#39;s great as-is, or enjoyed with salad, veggies, or in a sandwich!

Best Marinated Flank Steak

½ lb flank steak, trimmed of fat ((650 grams))

kosher salt and pepper to taste ((add right before grilling))

parsley ((20 grams))

cilantro ((20 grams))

garlic, minced ( (or frozen cubes of Dorot which is always my choice!))

Tbsp red wine vinegar ((45 grams))

Tbsp grainy dijon mustard ((30 grams))

Tbsp Worchestire sauce ((30 grams))

Tbsp brown sugar ((30 grams))

olive oil ((15 grams))

tsp cumin

tsp chili powder

tsp kosher salt

Make the flank steak marinade.

Add all flank steak marinade ingredients to a small food processor or blender and process until smooth.

Tenderize the meat.

Trim steak of any excess fat and place between two pieces of plastic wrap or inside a resealable bag. Pound into an even thickness using a meat mallet or rolling pin to tenderize the meat.

Marinate the flank steak.

Add the tenderized steak and marinade to a large dish or resealable bag and marinate in the fridge for 2-12 hours. Make sure to work the marinade around so it covers the entire steak.

Remove the meat from the fridge.

Remove the meat from the fridge about 30 minutes before grilling (or while preheating the grill) to bring it closer to room temperature. This helps it to be more tender after cooking.

Preheat the grill.

Preheat your outdoor grill (or indoor grill pan) to medium-high heat, (450 degrees F when lid is closed). Carefully oil your grill using oil and paper towels, or spraying cautiously!

Grill the steak.

Sprinkle meat with a little pepper and a generous pinch of kosher salt on both sides. (Don’t forget this step!) Place the steak on the oiled grill grates, and grill for about 4-6 minutes per side, or until an internal thermometer reads 130-135 degrees F for medium rare or around 140 degrees for medium. We like to pull it at 130 since it will continue to cook a little as it rests. Grill time will vary depending on thickness of your steak and desired level of doneness.

Rest, slice, and enjoy!

Remove the steak to a cutting board and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Make sure you slice your steak into thin strips against the grain (perpendicular to the long strands). This helps your strips to be tender rather than tough and chewy!

This was delicious!! I didn't have cilantro/parsley or worchester sauce and the marinade still made this the best flank steak I've ever had! It sat in the fridge for about 5 hours before grilling. This is the only way to marinade it - highly recommend!

Made this last night and I can confirm it really is Lillie's best ever! Will be a rotating staple in my house for sure. The only work is in the marinade but its WORHT IT. Stop thinking about it and just make it.
