Cream Cheese Lasagna is made with a meaty tomato sauce, pepperoni, and 4 kinds of cheese. So rich and delicious with lots of bold flavor. Just the way a lasagna should be.

Cream Cheese Lasagna

beef

yellow onion, (diced)

garlic cloves, (minced)

tomato paste

(14.5-ounce) can petite diced tomatoes, (undrained)

(14.5-ounce) can stewed tomatoes, (undrained)

tomato sauce

oregano

Italian seasoning

salt

pepper

lasagna noodles

(8-ounce) package cream cheese, (softened)

cottage cheese or ricotta cheese

eggs

pepperoni

mozzarella cheese

Parmesan cheese

parsley

Place a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and break it apart with a wooden spoon. Once you have it in small chunks, add the onion.Continue to cook, crumbling the beef more as it cooks, until beef is no longer pink.Drain off any grease.

Place skillet back over medium-high heat and add garlic. Cook 1 minute.

Add remaining sauce ingredients. Turn heat down to maintain a simmer. Simmer for 25 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

While sauce is simmering, cook lasagna noodles according to package directions. Drain.

In a medium bowl, stir together cream cheese, cottage or ricotta cheese and eggs until smooth.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.

Spread about 3/4 cup of sauce in the bottom of the baking dish. Arrange 3 noodles on top of the sauce.

Spread 1/3 of the cream cheese mixture on top of the noodles. Sprinkle with 1 cup of mozzarella cheese.Spread a little less than half the remaining sauce over the cheese.Scatter the pepperoni slices evenly on top.

Do another layer of noodles, cream cheese mixture (use half of the remaining), and 1 cup of mozzarella cheese.Top with sauce, leaving about 1/3 a cup of sauce to use for the top.

Place the final layer of noodles on, spread with cream cheese mixture and the remaining 1/3 cup of sauce.Sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella cheese on top along with the Parmesan cheese.

Cover with foil. (Spray the underside of the foil with cooking spray so that it does not stick to the cheese.)Bake for 45 minutes.Uncover and bake another 10 minutes.

Sprinkle with parsley. Let sit for 10 minutes before slicing.

This one pan Skillet Lasagna has all the same ingredients and flavors as a traditional meat lasagna but with minimal prep and is ready in just 40 minutes.

Skillet Lasagna

pound ground beef

onion,

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

lasagna noodles, broken

ounces marinara sauce

1/2 cup ricotta cheese

2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded

fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat add ground beef. Stir well and break up the beef into small pieces and cook until evenly browned but not fully browned yet, about 5 minutes. 

Add in onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Continue to cook until the meat is evenly browned and is no longer pink. The onion should also start to soften.

Add half of the marinara sauce, a layer of broken uncooked lasagna noodles.

Bring to a boil and then cover and turn the heat down to medium. Allow it to simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the noodles are tender. You may need to occasionally add in some water if you find the sauce is getting dry. You may also want to occasionally stir the noodles into the meat sauce.

Add a few dollops of ricotta cheese on top and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Turn the broiler on high and broil for 3-5 minutes until cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden. Serve with fresh chopped parsley on top.

Easy Lasagna Recipe

lb Italian sausage

garlic

jarred spaghetti or marinara sauce

basil

ricotta cheese

Parmesan cheese grated

Place lasagna noodles in a 9x13 casserole dish and cover with hot water.  Allow noodles to soak while preparing the meat sauce - you can alternately pre-cook your lasagna noodles in boiling water OR use the lasagna noodles labeled &quot;Oven Ready&quot; that do not require pre-cooking.

In large skillet, brown ground beef and Italian sausage until no pink remains.  Drain any excess oil from the skillet.

Add the minced garlic and saute 1-2 minutes longer, until fragrant.

Next, add the marinara sauce and herbs to the skillet. Bring sauce to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, covered, about 20 minutes to allow the flavors to marry together.

In a medium bowl, mix together ricotta, 1/2 cup parmesan, egg, salt, and pepper.

Add the remaining parmesan cheese to the mozzarella cheese and toss together.  Set aside for assembling the lasagna.

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Remove lasagna noodles from the water and set aside to assemble the lasagna.  Discard the soaking water.

Ladle just enough meat sauce into the casserole dish to cover the bottom of the pan.

Top with a single layer of lasagna noodles, tearing any noodles in half to cover the entire area of the pan.  Spread about 1/3 of the ricotta mixture over the noodles. Top with 1/3 of the remaining sauce mixture. Sprinkle 1 cup of mozzarella cheese mixture over the sauce.

Continue layering noodles, ricotta, sauce, and cheese until you have made three layers.  Top the final layer with 2 cups of mozzarella cheese.

Cover the lasagna with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.  Remove the aluminum foil and bake for an additional 20-30 minutes or until the lasagna is bubbling and the cheese melts and begins to brown around the edges.

Easy American Lasagna

sweet Italian sausage

jarred marinara sauce (Rao's is excellent)

Italian seasoning (DIVIDED)

parsley flakes

whole fat ricotta cheese

mozzarella cheese (DIVIDED)

parmesan cheese (DIVIDED)

Add the ground beef and sausage to a heavy 5-quart pan. Break up the meat and sausage with a spatula and cook until done, about 6-8 minutes.  Drain off the fat.

Add the jar of marinara sauce and tomato sauce. Add the minced garlic, 2-1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning, black pepper, and parsley.  Stir well to combine all the ingredients.  Let the sauce slow simmer, covered, for 30 minutes.  After 30 minutes, taste the sauce for flavor.  Add salt if desired, but remember that the cheeses contain salt so I would be careful about adding a lot of salt at this time.

While the sauce is cooking, cook the pasta according to the package directions.   You can skip this step if using no-boil pasta or the refrigerated lasagna.

In a small bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese, 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, and 1/2 teaspoon of Italian seasoning. Divide the mixture into 3 equal parts; it doesn&#x27;t have to be perfect but try to have 3 similar size portions.

Preheat oven to 350F. In a 9x13 casserole dish, spread a very thin layer of meat sauce to the bottom of the dish.Layer 1: Place 3 lasagna noodles in the casserole dish. Spread a layer of ricotta cheese mixture on top of noodles.  Then add a layer of meat mixture (about 1 cup).

Layer 2: Repeat with another layer of three noodles, a layer of ricotta cheese mixture, and 1 cup of meat sauce.

Layer 3: Layer the remaining three lasagna noodles, a layer of ricotta cheese mixture, remaining meat sauce, 1 cup mozzarella cheese, and 1/4 cup parmesan cheese.

Spray a sheet of aluminum foil with non-stick spray and cover the lasagna with the sprayed side down (this prevents the cheese from sticking to the foil).  Bake for 30 minutes.  Remove foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is nice and browned.  Let lasagna rest for about 10 minutes.  Cut into 12 squares!

For the Meat Sauce:1 lb ground beef

(24 oz) marinara sauce

For the Creamy Cheese Layer:2 cups ricotta cheese or cottage cheese

(8 oz) cream cheese, softened

sour cream

Prepare the Meat Sauce

Bake

Rest

Let the lasagna rest for 10-15 minutes before serving.
