Slow Cooker Meatballs and Gravy is easy to make with homemade or frozen meatballs!  These meatballs come out juicy, tender and are great with mashed potatoes or noodles!

Slow Cooker Meatballs and Gravy

Pounds Ground Beef

Large Egg

Worcestershire Sauce

Salt

Garlic Powder

Onion Powder

Pepper

Cup Panko or Plain Breadcrumbs

Large Onion, (Sliced)

(8 Ounce) Package Sliced Mushrooms

Cups Beef Broth

(1 Ounce) Packages Brown Gravy Mix

Tablespoon Ketchup

Teaspoon EACH Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Salt, Pepper.

Tablespoons Cold Water

Tablespoons Cornstarch

Tablespoons Olive Oil

In a large bowl, combine the beef, beaten egg, worcestershire sauce, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and breadcrumbs using your hands, just until combined.Form the beef mixture into about 24 meatballs (about 1 1/2 inches in diameter) and set aside on a large plate.

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.When the oil is hot, add half of the meatballs to the pan and sear on each side for about 2-3 minutes until browned, transfer to the bottom of the slow cooker.Repeat with the remaining meatballs.

Place the frozen meatballs, sliced onion, and mushrooms in the bottom of your slow cooker. &nbsp;Set aside.

In a medium bowl whisk together the beef broth, gravy mix, worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and seasonings. &nbsp;Pour mixture over meatballs. &nbsp;Cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours.

Once cooked, remove the meatballs from the slow cooker and set aside. At this point if your slow cooker was on low, turn it up to high. &nbsp;Mix together the cold water and cornstarch in a small bowl. &nbsp;Whisk the cornstarch mixture into the broth for 1-2 minutes until thickened.

Return the meatballs to the slow cooker and stir gently to coat with gravy. &nbsp;Serve immediately.&nbsp;

Meatballs and Gravy with Onions

Lb Ground Beef

¼ Cup Breadcrumbs

Tablespoons Whole Milk

Italian Seasoning

Vidalia Onions – peeled, sliced

Tablespoons Butter

Tablespoons Flour

Cup Beef Broth

Cup+ Water

Salt/Pepper

These ultimate Swedish meatballs are juicy, tender, and swimming in a rich, creamy gravy spiced with nutmeg and allspice. A comfort food classic perfected over 14 years, serve with mashed potatoes or noodles and don’t skimp on the sauce!

Swedish Meatballs

bread (cut

milk

ground beef (or mixed with ground chicken)

onion

salt (or

½ teaspoon pepper (or

nutmeg (ground)

allspice (ground)

butter (unsalted)

olive oil

all-purpose flour

chicken broth (low sodium, or beef broth)

¼ teaspoon pepper (or

sour cream

Soak the bread.

Add the bread to a large mixing bowl along with the milk and toss. Set aside to let the bread soak up the milk for a couple minutes.

Combine meatball ingredients.

Add the ground meat, grated onion, egg yolks, salt, pepper, nutmeg and allspice to the bowl with the bread. Mix the meat mixture well using your clean hands. Shape the meat into 1 inch meatballs.

Cook the meatballs.

Melt the 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over  medium heat and add another tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet. Add the meatballs and fry until golden all around, about 7 minutes. If your skillet isn&#39;t big enough to fit all the meatballs, you will have to do this in batches. Transfer the meatballs to a plate.

Make gravy.

Melt the 3 tablespoons of butter in the same skillet you used for frying the meatballs. Stir and scrape all the pan drippings. Add the flour to the pan and whisk well. Add the broth and continue whisking. Season with salt and pepper and other spices if preferred. Cook for a couple minutes until the gravy thickens from the flour. Whisk in the sour cream.

Add the meatballs to the gravy.

Bring the gravy to a boil then add the meatballs to it and cook for another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure meatballs don&#39;t stick to bottom of pan.

Garnish and serve.

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve over noodles or Mashed Potatoes.

This was fantastic!  Made it for company tonight.  My husband's only complaint was everyone went back for more and it didn't leave him any leftovers hehe

Need to thicken the gravey more, too runny.

I did not make this recipe yet it looks easy enough going to try it now the only thing I don’t like so far is not being able to make it without leaving a review first
