How to Cook Bacon in the Oven (Easy & Crispy)

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees fahrenheit. Line a baking tray with parchment paper, then place the bacon side-by-side on the tray.

Cook

Cook the bacon for 18-20 minutes or until it&#039;s reached your desired level of crispiness. Remove the tray from the oven and transfer the bacon with tongs to a paper towel-lined plate.

Store

If you&#039;re rendering the bacon fat, line a fine mesh sieve with a paper towel. Then place the sieve over a glass storage container and pour the bacon fat from the sheet tray into the sieve. Cover the glass storage container and place it in the refrigerator for future cooking needs.

Cooking bacon in the oven is super easy, less messy and you can multitask at the same time. Oven baked bacon is what it's all about my friends! HOW TO COOK BACON IN THE OVEN | easy, crispy and no mess!

This oven-baked bacon is so easy to make! Arrange the bacon slices on a rack, and bake. Free up your skillet/stove top for other things!

Oven Baked Bacon (Peppered Maple)

lb thick cut bacon

cracked pepper

maple syrup (not pancake syrup)

Preheat the oven to 400F, and line a large baking sheet with foil

Lay your bacon out flat on a wire rack on the baking sheet.

Generously pepper your bacon.

Bake for 15 minutes.

Remove, and baste the bacon with the maple syrup.

Return bacon to the oven, and cook a further 3-5 minutes (until desired level of done-ness)

Remove from oven.

Devour.

How to Bake Bacon In The Oven

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.

Lay bacon flat on the lined sheet pan side-by-side, careful to not overlap the bacon.

Once the oven is preheated, place bacon in the oven on the middle rack until the bacon is desired doneness. This will take anywhere from 10-25 minutes. - Regular/thinner cut bacon - 10-15 minutes. - Thick cut bacon - 20-25 minutes

Once done, remove bacon from the oven and remove to a wire rack or plate. Remove excess grease by blotting the bacon with a paper towel. The bacon will be crispy after this step.

Oven baked bacon is one of my favorite meal prep items, because it cooks a whole lot of bacon at once! No tending the bacon, no flipping, no splattering grease everywhere. Just beautiful bacon strips cooked till your exact liking!

Oven Baked Bacon (Big Batch)

Preheat the oven to 450°F.

Line a baking sheet with a heavy-duty foil. (Note: You can crumble the foil, or leave it smooth. I tested both ways and there was no noticeable difference.)

Arrange the bacon slices on the prepared baking sheet. (It’s ok to overlap a little to fit all the bacon.)

Bake for about 20 minutes, or until desired crispiness is reached. Start checking after 10-minute mark. (No need to flip them half way.)

Using a pair of kitchen tongs, transfer the cooked bacon onto a baking sheet lined with paper towel to absorb excess fat.

Carefully, pour the hot bacon grease into a glass jar.  You can use bacon grease for just about anywhere oil is called for.

If you love crispy bacon but dread the mess, you have to try this crispy oven bacon. Great for feeding a crowd and no grease splatters left to clean up! 

Crispy Oven Baked Bacon

bacon (regular sliced, see notes)

Adjust oven rack so it’s placed in the center of the oven. Preheat the oven to 400F.

Prepare a baking sheet. Line with parchment paper or foil (for easy clean up) and place a fitted wire rack on top.

Lay the bacon slices on top of the rack. it’s ok if they touch but make sure they’re not overlapping.

Season with some freshly cracked black pepper to taste.

Bake for 15-22 minutes or until the bacon is as "crispy" / browned as you like. Thicker cuts will take a little longer and thinner cuts won’t need quite as long. Bacon cuts can vary so watch closely at the end.

Let bacon cool / drain directly on the wire rack. Pat both sides with a paper towel to remove grease and help crisp up (or transfer to a paper towel lined plate). Bacon will crisp up even more as it cools.
