Our Sweet Potato Pakoras are the perfect slimming friendly Fakeaway accompaniment whether you&#039;re counting calories or following a diet plan like Weight Watchers.

Sweet Potato Pakoras | Slimming &amp; Weight Watchers Friendly

brown onion

red onions

sweet potato

spring onion (finely chopped)

tsp coriander

tsp cumin

tsp garam masala

½ tsp chilli powder

salt and pepper

low calorie cooking spray

Pre-heat

Pre-heat your oven to 200°C. Line a baking tray with baking parchment and set aside. Place a large sweet potato in the microwave (prick it first) for 8-10 minutes.

Chop

Chop the root end off the onions (do not cut the other end off!) and peel. The top of the onion will hold it together as you slice it on the mandoline.

Slice

Select the finest blade for your mandoline and slice the onions. Watch your fingers and remember to always use the guard! If you prefer, you could also grate the onion instead.

Squeeze

Use your hands to squeeze the juice from the onions over the sink and then place them into a large bowl.

Combine

Combine the ground coriander, ground cumin, garam masala, chilli powder, spring onion, and salt and pepper in a bowl, and add to the onion mix. Stir well.

Grate

Next grate in the cooked sweet potato - the skin will just fall away.

Get your hands in and mix until the mixture forms a ball. Split the mixture into 12 and make into small balls using your hands.

Place

Place on the baking parchment and spray well with low calorie cooking spray

Place in the oven and cook for 20 minutes. After 10 minutes remove from the oven, spray them again with the low calorie cooking spray and return to the oven for the remaining 10 minutes.

Mix the mixture until it forms a ball. Split it into 12 small balls

Place on the baking parchment and spray with low cal cooking spray

Place in the oven, after 10 minutes remove it, spray with low cal cooking spray and return to the oven for another 10 minutes

It always hits the spot with some garam garam chai or coffee. The crunch from Pakodas and the rainy weather goes hand in hand. The crunch and flavor in every bite will always want you to eat more. Paneer Pakoda Waffles

paneer

sandwich chutney

olive oil

tsp chaat masala

chickpea flour

semolina

Salt

1 and 1/2 tsp red chili powder

turmeric powder

tsp asafetida powder

water

Form a thick batter using chickpea flour, semolina, turmeric, salt, red chili powder, asafetida and water and whisk it together

Cut the paneer into thick square cubes

Apply 1 tsp of chutney in between 2 paneer pieces

Form and sandwich with paneer and dunk them into the batter

Plug the waffle maker and grease with oil

Place the paneer Pakoda in the waffle maker

After 5 minutes flip and cook on the other side for 5 minutes or till brown

Take them out and leave them out for few minutes and reheat them for extra crunch

Sprinkle chaat masala

Enjoy them hot with chai or coffee
