Pan Seared Shrimp Recipe (Cast Iron Shrimp)

lb Shrimp (peeled & deveined)

tbsp Spicy Fajita Seasoning (this is low-sodium)

tbsp Ghee (or Butter)

Toss the shrimp in the seasoning mix and set aside.

Pre-heat a cast iron skillet for 2-3 minutes. That will allow it to get to medium-high heat.

Add the ghee or salted butter and allow it to coat the bottom of the pan. You know your pan is hot when the butter sizzles.

Add the shrimp and cook for 1-2 minutes per side. I used jumbo shrimp so they took 2 minutes per side. However, if you are using smaller shrimp then it will cook faster.&nbsp;

Absolutely the BEST tasting shrimp I’ve ever had!!! No restaurant has ever compared to  the flavoring of these. The cook time was also perfect.

Love cooking with butter but trying ghee is exciting!

Such an easy delicious dinner, have used Fahita seasoning and Lemon pepper.  Both are delicious.  You can quickly throw various side dishes together!  This is definitely a keeper!

I had some jumbo shrimp and wanted a simple quick recipe and this was perfect!  I used a combination of Bay Seasonings and home made Emeril Spices.  OMG.  Never thought of cooking them in butter... I am going to try this with jumbo Scallops next.  Thank you for this recipe!

Pan Seared Shrimp is a quick, easy, and delicious seafood recipe! Made with butter, simple seasonings, and fresh herbs - this versatile dish is cooked on the stove in less than 10 minutes. This juicy, tender shrimp is the perfect healthy protein for a busy weeknight dinner!

Easy Pan Seared Shrimp (How To!)

salted butter

lb shrimp, shelled, deveined, & cleaned

garlic powder

tsp salt

tsp black pepper

parsley

First thoroughly pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel.

Then add the shrimp, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to a mixing bowl.  Combine thoroughly and ensure each shrimp is coated in the seasoning mix.

Heat a large skillet on the stove over medium heat. Once hot, add the butter.  Then once the butter is sizzling add the shrimp to the skillet. Spread in an even, single layer.  Cook on one side for 2-3 minutes until seared.  Flip and repeat on the other side.

Add fresh parsley and combine. Season with extra salt and black pepper to taste if needed.
