With simple ingredients and straightforward steps, Panko Breaded Chicken is a hassle-free, easy recipe that can be prepared in under 30 minutes,

Panko Breaded Chicken

chicken cutlets ((or 2 breasts, sliced in half horizontally))

mayonnaise

salt

garlic powder

paprika

onion powder

black pepper

panko breadbrumbs

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

Place the chicken in a Ziploc bag or between two pieces of plastic wrap and pound to an even thickness.

Mix the mayonaisse and seasonings in a small bowl.

Spread about 1 tablespoon of the mayonnaise mixture on each chicken cutlet, coating the meat completely.

Pour the panko crumbs into a shallow dish, then press the chicken into the crumbs. Turn the chicken over and coat the rest of the chicken.

Place a wire rick onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, then set the chicken pieces on top of the rack, with a little bit of space between each one.

Bake for 15-25 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

These Panko Crusted Chicken Breasts are perfectly crunchy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside.

Crispy Panko Crusted Chicken Breasts

chicken breasts

flour

egg (lightly beaten + a splash of water)

breadcrumbs

parmesan cheese

fine sea salt (divided)

Cajun seasoning (or Italian Seasoning)

extra virgin olive oil

butter

Slice your chicken breast in half to make 2 thinner chicken breasts. If you are using chicken cutlets you can skip this step. But make sure your chicken breasts have an equal thickness. You can do this by lightly pounding the thicker part of your chicken breasts with a rolling pin or meat pounder.

Arrange 3 shallow plates for the dipping/breading stations. In the first shallow dish add flour and 1/2 teaspoon each of salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder. Mix together with a fork and set aside. In the 2nd shallow dish add 1 egg and a splash of water. Lightly beat the egg and set aside. In the 3rd shallow dish add panko breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, salt, Italian seasoning or cajun seasoning and paprika. Mix together and set aside.

Lightly season each chicken breast with a little salt and pepper. Add the chicken breasts to the flour mixture first, shaking off any excess flour. Then add to the egg mixture, letting any excess egg run off. Then add chicken breasts to the panko breadcrumbs mixture, pressing the chicken breasts into the breading completely on both sides until they are evenly coated.

Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add olive oil and butter. Add chicken breasts to the skillet and pan fry for approximately 3-4 minutes on each side. If your skillet is getting too hot, turn your heat down to medium-low. You want the chicken breasts to cook all the way through without burning too quickly. Take your time, don't rush it.

Once chicken is golden brown on both sides, check the internal temperature of your chicken to make sure they are done with a meat thermometer. Internal temperature should be at least 165°F. Remove from heat and allow your chicken breasts to rest on a wire rack to keep them crispy. Enjoy with your favorite sides!

Amazing chicken, I made it for my family and they loved it so much that they started trying to take chicken from other plates because it was so good.

Made last night. Very easy recipe to follow and very tasty.  I didn't butterfly the breasts, just coated them then seared both sides in cast iron skillet to a nice golden brown then finished in 350 oven for 25 min. Will definitely keep this in my chicken rotation

Crispy Panko Parmesan Crusted Chicken Breasts!🔥

Panko Chicken is a quick and easy dinner recipe, featuring chicken breasts flavored with Parmesan and baked until tender and juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside...everyone loves this Panko crusted chicken!

Easy Baked Panko Chicken

sour cream (OR plain yogurt)

Parmesan cheese

bread crumbs

garlic salt

black pepper (to taste)

Garlic salt is a seasoned salt used as food seasoning made of a mixture of dried ground garlic and table salt with an anti-caking agent (e.g. calcium silicate). In its most basic form it is made by combining 3 parts salt and 1 part garlic powder by volume, or 6 parts salt and 1 part...

Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper for easy clean-up.

In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise and sour cream. In another small bowl, combine Parmesan, bread crumbs, garlic salt, and pepper.

Lay chicken breasts on baking sheet. Season with garlic salt and pepper. Spread one-fourth of the mayonnaise/sour cream mixture on top and down sides of each chicken breast. Sprinkle one-fourth of the Parmesan/Panko mixture over the top of each chicken breast, covering the mayonnaise mixture and lightly pressing the crumbs into it.

Bake for 20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and topping is golden brown , taking care not to overcook.

This recipe was a home run! My whole family absolutely loved it, which is RARE! Adding this to our recipe rotation!
