(16 oz) frozen potato and onion pierogies

oz kielbasa sausage, sliced

oz cream cheese (from 8-oz package), very softened

sour cream

Progresso™ chicken broth (from 32-oz carton)

Cheddar cheese (4 oz)

green onions

Heat oven to 375°F. Spray12x8-inch (2-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray.

Place frozen pierogies and water in medium microwave-safe bowl; cover with plastic wrap. Microwave on High 2 minutes; stir. Continue microwaving on High 1 1/2 to 2 minutes until thawed. Place pierogies evenly in casserole. Top with sausage. 

In medium bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, chicken broth and pepper with whisk. Stir in 1/2 cup of the Cheddar cheese and 1/3 cup of the green onions (reserve remaining onions for topping).

Pour cream cheese mixture evenly over pierogies. Cover with foil; bake 22 to 27 minutes or until center is heated through and temperature reaches 165°F.

Uncover, and top with remaining cheese; bake 3 to 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Sprinkle with reserved green onions.

This pierogi casserole is potato pierogies layered with bacon, onions and a creamy sauce, then topped off with cheese and baked to perfection. An easy and hearty dinner option that the whole family will love!

16-ounce boxes Mrs. T's Pierogies (I use classic cheddar)

Alfredo sauce

Kraft cheddar cheese (shredded)

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Coat a 3-quart baking dish with cooking spray.

Place the bacon in a pan over medium high heat. Cook for 4-5 minutes or until bacon is crisp.&nbsp;

Remove the bacon from the pan and drain on paper towels.

Pour off most of the bacon grease in the pan; leaving 2 teaspoons. Reserve the extra bacon grease for later use.

Place the onion in the pan with the bacon grease and cook for 3-4 minutes or until translucent. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.

Remove the onion and garlic from the pan. Add 2 more teaspoons of bacon grease to the pan.

Add half the pierogies to the pan, cook for 3-4 minutes per side or until browned.

Repeat the process with the remaining pierogies. Place all the pierogies, 3/4 of the bacon, onions and garlic in the pan and stir to combine.

Spread 1/3 cup of the Alfredo sauce over the bottom of the baking dish. Add 1/2 the pierogi mixture over the sauce.

Add another 1/3 cup of the sauce, then use the remaining pierogi mixture to create another layer.

Spread the remaining Alfredo sauce over the top of the pierogi mixture, then top the casserole with shredded cheese.

Bake for 15 minutes or until cheese has melted and started to brown. Top with reserved bacon and green onions, then serve.

Preheat oven to 350°F. Coat a 9&#215;13- inch baking dish with nonstick spray. Set aside.

Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onions into the melted butter and season with 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt. Cook onions until they are soft and caramelized, stirring frequently. Remove from the heat. Set aside.

Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook the lasagna noodles according to package directions. Drain.

While the noodles are cooking combine the cottage cheese, mashed potatoes, egg, pepper, onion powder, 1 cup of grated cheese, remaining 1 teaspoon kosher salt, and HALF of the onions. Stir to combine.

Place 3 noodles into the bottom of the prepared dish. Top with half of the cottage cheese mixture and spread to cover the noodles. Lay 3 more noodles on top of the filling and top that with the remaining filling mixture. Lay the last 3 noodles on top, sprinkle with the reserved onions and remaining 1/2 cup of cheese.

Cover pan with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and broil for 3 minutes.

Allow the casserole to cool for 15-20 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley and serve.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.

In a large skillet, heat cream cheese over medium heat while constantly stirring. Pour in chicken broth and stir until it starts to become creamy like a sauce.

Once it starts to become creamy, remove the skillet from the heat and stir in sour cream, salt, pepper, 1/2 of the chopped bacon, diced green onions, and 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese.

Place the frozen pierogies in the baking dish. Pour the cream cheese mixture over pierogies.

Top with remaining shredded cheese and chopped bacon. Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes.

Carefully remove the foil. Bake another 3-5 minutes or until cheese melts. Top with more diced green onion.
