Pineapple Margaritas Cocktail is made easily in a large batch so it is perfect for parties and celebrations. A fun twist on the classic margarita. 

Pineapple Margaritas 

This pineapple margarita is a tropical spin on the classic! The winning combination of pineapple, tequila and lime makes a killer cocktail.

Pineapple Margarita Recipe

(3 tablespoons) tequila blanco or reposado*

(1 1/2 tablespoons) Cointreau

(1 1/2 tablespoon) fresh lime juice

Kosher salt, flaky sea salt, or margarita salt

Ice, for serving (try clear ice)

For the garnish: pineapple wedge

Cut a notch in a lime wedge, then run the lime around the rim of a glass. Dip the edge of the rim into a plate of salt (or for a festive look, use Margarita Salt).

Place all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and fill it with ice. Shake until cold. (For a sweeter margarita, taste and add a hint of simple syrup or agave syrup, to taste.) Strain the margarita into the glass with the salted rim. Fill the glass with ice and serve.

Love this recipe! Made my first round as-is, but wanted a little more balance between the tequila and pineapple. Made my second round with equal parts (2oz each) tequila and pineapple juice, keeping lime juice and Cointreau the same.

lime wedges, pineapple wedges, pineapple leaves

Blend ice (2 cups), pineapple chunks (3 cups), lime juice, tequila (1 cup), triple sec (1/2 cup), limeade (3/4 cup), and water (1 cup) in a blender until smooth.

Place coarse salt or Tajín in a shallow dish. Rub rims of cocktail glasses with lime wedges, then dip in coarse salt or Tajín, coating well.

Pour margarita in glasses and serve.

This tropical pineapple margarita is shaken up with Cointreau, blanco tequila and a salty lime rim. Make it with juice or fresh pineapple!

oz blanco tequila

oz fresh squeezed lime juice

oz Cointreau

Combine kosher salt and lime zest in a mortar and pestle. Grind together until combined and fragrant. Store in an airtight container.

Cut a small notch in the center of the lime wedge. Run the notch around half edge of a margarita glass to moisten. Fill a small plate with lime salt, turn the glass on its side, and press wet side into the salt to coat. Fill glass with ice and set aside.

Add pineapple juice, tequila, lime juice and Cointreau to a cocktail shaker. Fill with ice and shake until cold and frothy, about 15 seconds.

Strain into prepared glass and serve immediately.
