This Instant Pot Pizza Pasta is an easy to make baked pizza pasta casserole recipe. It can be made in the Duo Crisp, Ninja Foodie, or with any pressure cooker and then finished in the oven or air fryer. I made mine with Italian Sausage and Pepperoni.

Instant Pot Pizza Pasta, Duo Crisp, Normal Pot, or Ninja Foodie

sausage

oz pepperoni (sliced)

onion

T minced garlic

t oregano

t basil

t black pepper

t salt

t crushed red pepper

chicken stock

c red wine (or substitute chicken stock)

28 oz can diced Italian tomatoes, whit juice

tomato puree

oz pasta (I used rigatoni)

oz cheese

Set the Instant Pot to saute and saute...

Set the Instant Pot to saute and saute Italian sausage, onion, and garlic until the sausage is browned.

Add the spices and stir well.

Add half of the pepperoni, the chicken stock,...

Add half of the pepperoni, the chicken stock, and red wine and stir well.

Add the tomatoes and tomatoe puree. Stir lightly.

Pour the pasta on top of the liquid...

Pour the pasta on top of the liquid and gently press down until the pasta is covered with liquid. Do not stir. The idea is to keep most of the pasta off of the bottom of the pot.

Pressure cook on high pressure for 1/2 the...

Pressure cook on high pressure for 1/2 the time stated on the box minus one minute, or 6 minutes if you are missing the box for the time setting.

Quick release the pressure and remove the lid.

Stir in 1/3 of the cheese and place...

Stir in 1/3 of the cheese and place the rest on top of the pasta mix.

Layer the remaining pepperoni on top of the...

Layer the remaining pepperoni on top of the cheese.

Place the air fryer lid on the Pot...

Place the air fryer lid on the Pot and air fry at 400 degrees for 5 minutes.

Remove the air fryer lid and serve!

Whether you use leftover pasta and pizza toppings, or start from scratch, pizza baked pasta is delicious and easy to make. Everyone loves it! 

Pizza Baked Pasta

pasta (see note), (cooked and drained)

pizza sauce

pepperoni,

deli ham, (roughly chopped)

mozzarella cheese, (divided)

Parmesan cheese

baby spinach,

grape or cherry tomatoes, (halved)

Preheat oven to 350°F.  Prepare 9 x 13 inch baking dish by spraying lightly with cooking spray.

In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients, reserving 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese to put on top of the pasta.

Place in prepared baking dish and top with remaining mozzarella cheese. If you prefer the top of the casserole to be softer and not browned, cover the pan with foil sprayed lightly with cooking spray while baking.

Bake until heated through and cheese is melted, about 25 minutes.

Supreme Pizza Casserole

pasta

garlic (minced)

pizza toppings (see notes)

tomatoes (drained)

oregano

Italian seasoning

marinara sauce (or pasta sauce)

mozzarella and cheddar blend (shredded)

pepperoni slices (divided)

parmesan cheese (shredded)

Preheat oven to 425°F.

Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain well.

While pasta is cooking, brown ground beef, onion, and garlic in a pan. Season with salt and pepper and drain fat.

Stir in vegetable toppings (if using), cook an additional 3-4 minutes or until tender. Add drained tomatoes, oregano, Italian seasoning, pizza sauce, and marinara sauce. Simmer 5 minutes.

Toss pasta with the sauce.

Spread into a greased 9×13 pan and top with the Mozza &amp; cheddar blend and half of the pepperoni (and additional pepperoni slices if desired). Then top with parmesan cheese.

Bake 15-20 minutes uncovered or until cheese is browned.

Pizza Pasta - One pan, 20 minutes!

(16 oz.) pizza sauce

(14.5 oz.) petite diced tomatoes, undrained

water

whole wheat rotini

baby spinach, roughly chopped

mozzarella cheese, extra if desired for topping

parsley

Combine Ingredients

In a large skillet with a cover, combine pizza sauce, diced tomatoes, water, and pepperoni.

Cook

Over high heat, bring to a boil, add pasta, reduce heat to medium or medium-high (low boil), and cover. Cook covered for 8-10 minutes (using pasta directions as a guide) or until al dente, stirring occasionally to make sure all pasta gets cooked evenly.

Add Spinach

In the last 1-2 minutes of cooking, add spinach and cover. When wilted, stir into pasta.

Add Cheese

Reduce heat to low and stir in shredded cheese, until melted.

Broil

If desired, add extra cheese and pepperoni to top and broil under high heat until bubbling and golden brown.

Garnish

Garnish if desired with fresh parsley or basil.

Pizza Pasta

This pizza pasta is a one pot meal made with pepperoni, sausage and plenty of cheese, all mixed with pasta in tomato sauce. An easy dinner that's family friendly and quick to make!

olive oil

lb mild Italian sausage (casings removed)

onion (finely diced)

mini pepperoni (divided use)

garlic

marinara sauce

salt and pepper

mozzarella cheese

Heat the olive oil in a large, deep pan over medium heat. Add the sausage and cook for 4-5 minutes, breaking up the meat with a spatula, until browned.

Add the onion to the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes or until translucent.

Add 1/2 cup of the pepperoni and the garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add the marinara sauce, water, salt, pepper and pasta to the pot and bring to a simmer.&nbsp;

Cover the pot and cook over low heat for 12-14 minutes or until pasta is tender.

While the pasta is simmering, preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

After the pasta is finished cooking, sprinkle the cheese over the top and arrange the remaining 1/4 cup of pepperoni on the cheese.

Bake for 4-5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Sprinkle with parsley and serve.

One Pan Pizza Pasta

pepperoni1 (quartered and divided)

garlic paste2

salt

black pepper

marinara sauce3

red pepper flakes

elbow macaroni4

mozzarella cheese (divided)

parsley (minced)

Add most of the quartered pepperonis (reserve some of the top of the dish) along with the olive oil, garlic paste, salt, and pepper to a large skillet (that has a cover) and cook for 2 minutes over low heat, stirring frequently.

Add in marinara sauce, pizza sauce, water, red pepper flakes, and oregano and stir to combine.

Then add in the macaroni and stir until combined, increase to medium heat and cover and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring frequently until pasta has absorbed most of the liquid. Keep a close eye on it towards the end of the cooking time because you don&#039;t want the pasta to burn and stick to the pan.

Once the pasta is tender, stir in 1 cup of the mozzarella. Then top the pasta with the remaining mozzarella and pepperoni.

Cover and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes until cheese has melted, remove from heat and garnish with parsley and serve hot.
