My Pizza Pinwheels recipe puts all the pizza goodness into the BEST appetizer you&#039;ve ever had! Easy to make and great for kids. Great for parties!

Pizza Pinwheels

(13-ounce) tube refrigerated pizza dough

(14-ounce) jar prepared pizza sauce, divided

Italian seasoning

mozzarella cheese, (shredded)

Parmesan

pepperoni, (chopped)

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Lightly flour work surface and a rolling pin. Roll pizza crust into a 12x16 inch rectangle.

Spread 3/4 cup pizza sauce over pizza crust, leaving a 1-inch border on both sides and top edge. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning evenly over the sauce.

Sprinkle mozzarella (2 cups) and Parmesan cheese (1/3 cup) evenly over sauce.

Sprinkle chopped pepperoni (3/4 cup) over cheese.

Begin rolling tightly upward, away from you, starting at the long side of the crust closest to you.

Cut the roll into 12 individual pieces, using a serrated knife and a gentle sawing motion.

Arrange the cut rolls evenly, in 3 rows, 2 inches apart. Sprinkle with a generous pinch of Parmesan on top of each roll.

Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until dough is golden.

Pour the remaining pizza sauce into a microwave-safe dish and warm through. Arrange pizza pinwheels onto a serving platter and serve with warmed pizza sauce.

Pizza rolls are a simple crowd-pleasing appetizer, snack, and party food that only require a few ingredients! By making the pizza pinwheels, you can choose between different toppings such as tomato or spinach!

Tomato Pizza Rolls

x 550 g store-bought pizza dough

tomato sauce ((e.g. marinara sauce))

soy cream (or dairy-free cream of choice)

You can watch the video in the post for visual instructions.First, if it isn’t already, thaw the pizza dough and prepare it according to its package instructions (usually bringing it to room temperature).

Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 425°F/220°C (top/bottom heat) or 390°F/200°C (fan oven) and line a baking tray with parchment paper. At the same time, measure/weigh and prepare all the remaining ingredients. In two separate small bowls, mix the tomato sauce and oregano (to taste), and the cream and turmeric, and set aside.

Carefully unroll the dough and use a rolling pin/bottle to make it a little thinner/larger.

To assemble the pizza pinwheels, first spread the herby tomato sauce over the dough, leaving a 1 cm border, then sprinkle it with the grated cheese.

Starting from the short side, carefully roll up the dough, then place it seam-side down and use a sharp knife to cut it into 10-11 pieces about 1 ½-2 inches (4-5 cm) wide.If it looks like it will be tricky to slice, chill it in the fridge for 10-15 minutes first.

Transfer the homemade pizza rolls to the baking tray and brush with the cream-turmeric mixture. Then bake them in the oven for 18-20 minutes, brushing them with the cream mixture once more or using cooking spray at around 10-12 minutes. When ready, they should be golden brown and crispy.

Finally, leave them to cool for at least 5 minutes, then enjoy!

Easy Pizza Pinwheels are loaded with ground beef, bacon, chicken sausage, and pepperoni for the perfect grab-and-go game day snack!

Cheesy Meat Lovers Pizza Pinwheels (Step by Step Recipe)

active dry yeast (1 packet)

all-purpose flour (divided)

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Prepare a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper. Set aside.

In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a dough hook, combine the yeast, sugar and warm water. Swirl with a spoon to dissolve the yeast. Let the mixture rest until the yeast becomes foamy and aromatic, about 3 minutes.

Pour the olive oil, 3 cups of the flour, Italian seasoning, salt and garlic into the bowl.

Mix on medium speed until the dough comes together in one ball, and then knead for 3 minutes on medium to medium-high speed. The dough should be just a little bit sticky. When you touch your finger to the dough and pull away, you should have just a little dough on your fingertip.

Add the remaining flour 1 tablespoon at a time as needed. The sticky dough is important to help the pizza pinwheels get a little lift as it cooks.

Lightly flour your counter top. Form the dough into a ball and cover with a dish towel. Let the dough rest for 5 minutes.

On a lightly floured counter top, roll the dough into a 12 x 18-inch rectangle.

Spread about 1/2 to 1 cup of marinara over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border on the top edge (this is where you will pinch the dough together, if there is sauce here it will make it hard for the dough to stick together).

Sprinkle sausage, pepperoni, beef and bacon over the top of the sauce. Then sprinkle the cheese over the meat.

Starting at the long edge nearest you, fold the edge of the dough on top of itself and begin tightly rolling the dough away from you, pinching the pepperoni slices into the roll if they try to escape as you go. Use the last 1 inch of clean dough to seal the roll, pressing gently to keep it closed.

Cut the roll in half and then cut those halves in half, giving you 4 logs. Cut each of those logs into 3 pinwheels, giving you 12 pinwheels total.

Arrange the pinwheels cut side up on the baking sheet and spread them out so they are not touching. Bake for 20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.

Meanwhile, combine the remaining butter, parsley and salt in a small bowl. Stir together with a pastry brush or spoon. Brush the top and sides of the baked pinwheels with the butter mixture. Serve with the remaining marinara.
