These bacon wrapped smoked jalapeno poppers are the ultimate party food, stuffed with cheese, then smoked for the most outstanding flavor. Get the recipe!

Smoked Jalapeno Poppers Recipe

smoked paprika (or more to taste)

Salt and black pepper

Spicy red pepper flakes (optional)

bacon (or use 8 slices cut in half for smaller poppers)

Heat Smoker

Core

Slice the jalapeno peppers in half lengthwise and scoop out the insides with a spoon.

Stuffing

Add the cream cheese (+ cheddar cheese, if using), smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper, and red chili flakes to a bowl and mix well.

Fill Peppers

Fill each jalapeno pepper half with the spicy cheese mixture. You might have some leftover, depending on the size of your peppers. Just distribute evenly.

Bacon

Wrap each stuffed jalapeno boat with a slice of bacon. Pierce with toothpicks to hold the bacon in place. NOTE: You can use half a bacon slice with smaller peppers, and as a calorie saver.

Smoke

Sprinkle the poppers with extra smoked paprika and red pepper flakes and smoke them for 60-80 minutes, or until the peppers soften and the bacon is starting to crisp. You can blast them with the broiler a couple of minutes at the end if you need to.

Serve

Remove from heat, cool slightly, and serve.

This simple-to-make dish is borderline irresistible and will quickly become a favorite for you to cook in your Ninja Foodi Grill or air fryer. The balance of spice from the jalapeno pepper with the creaminess of the cream cheese and salty bacon makes your mouth yearn for another bite.

Ninja Foodi Grill Recipe: Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers

Jalapeno poppers halved lengthwise

barbecue seasoning

Cut the jalapeno peppers lengthwise into two halves

Use a small spoon to scrape and remove all seeds and white veins or other ribs from the pepper

Use a butter knife to cut the cream cheese into a small block that will fit inside the pepper, about 2 tablespoons

Stuff the pepper with the cream cheese by pressing it into the pepper cavity

Sprinkle with BBQ seasoning

Starting at the stem side of the jalapeno pepper wrap the bacon around the cheese to hold it in place stretching the bacon slightly as you wrap

Sprinkle the remaining BBQ seasoning on the bacon wrapping the peppers

Preheat your Ninja Foodi Grill or air fryer to 350F

Place the peppers in the cooker in a single row

Cook for about 10 minutes or until the bacon is cooked to your desired doneness.

Inside out jalapeno poppers are like traditional jalapeno poppers but the bacon is on the inside surrounded by a crispy cheese shell.

Inside Out Jalapeño Peppers

cheddar cheese (shredded)

Prep: Cut each jalapeño in half. Remove seeds and stems. Slice halves into 8 strips. You should have 16 strips per jalapeño and 64 strips total. Slice the cream cheese into 16 pieces, and slice each of those in half to make 32 pieces. Keep them cold and separated.

Cook: Heat your griddle to medium low (350-380F degrees). Place the bacon on the griddle and cook, until it&#39;s browned. Add the peppers to the griddle at the same time and cook with the bacon drippings, until tender. Clean the griddle.

Top Poppers: Place 2 tablespoons of cheddar cheese on the griddle in an oblong shape. Top with 1 piece of cream cheese, a pinch of garlic powder, 2 jalapeño strips and a few crumbles of bacon.

Fold Poppers: Once the edges of the cheddar cheese start to brown, slide your spatula under the cheese. Fold the left side over the toppings. Then fold the right side over the toppings to make a log. Remove from the grill and sprinkle with salt.
