Green Radish and Carrot with Pork Bone Soup Recipe 青紅蘿蔔豬骨湯 is super easy to make. It is good for a cold and nourishes internal organs, de-stress and detoxes the body. Green Radish Carrot Pork Bone Soup Recipe 青紅蘿蔔豬骨湯

lb Pork bones or Pork Tenderloin 豬骨 1

Chicken drum sticks (skin removed) 雞腿去皮, 3隻

green radishes,

carrots,

ginger slices 薑 4片

2 dried figs, cut in half 無花果 2粒

g apricot kernels 南北杏 南北杏 適量

L water 水 適量

of salt to taste 鹽少許

sweet corn, optional 玉米 1條

Wash and rinse Chinese herbs like Chinese almonds, raw coix seeds, and dried figs.

Soak Chinese almonds and raw coix seeds for 20 minutes in a small bowl to remove traces of impurities. This will help remove dust and debris. Rinse and set aside.

Wash and peel carrots skin for both red carrots and green radishes. Rough chop the root veggies into large chunks. Do not cut the carrots into thin slices if you prefer enjoying them after as a side dish.

If you prefer, you can also add the sweet corn. Cut into large pieces or small pieces to fit the ceramic pot.

Parboil the pork bones, pork ribs, and chicken drumsticks in a medium pot of water. Once you see white foam on the boiling water surface of the soup, drain and rinse the meat with cold water.

Add all ingredients into a separate large soup pot filled with enough water to cover.

After the green radish carrot pork soup comes to a rolling boil, reduce heat to low-medium heat and boil for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, reduce heat to low, cover the pot with a lid, and continue to a gentle simmer for 2 to 3 hours.

Checking occasionally to ensure the soup water boils without drying out!

Healthy Instant Pot Chinese Pork Bone Soup (紅蘿蔔粟米豬骨湯). Delicious, paleo, gluten-free soup is super easy &amp; quick to make with real, whole food.

Instant Pot Chinese Pork Bone Soup 紅蘿蔔粟米豬骨湯

(~1½ lb

(~1⅕ lb corn

ginger

(33 grams) dried dates (Chinese: 蜜棗)

Chenpi (Chinese: 陳皮) ((dried mandarin peel))

½ cups (1.625L) cold water

salt

Clean Pork Bone: Bring 2L of water to a boil. Then, boil the pork bones for 3 minutes to clean and remove the excess fat. Remove the pork bones and rinse them in cold tap water. We take this step whenever we make Chinese soups with pork bones or any other bones and meat.

Prepare the Ingredients: Soak 1 small piece of chenpi in cold water for 20 minutes. Wash the dried dates with cold running water. Prepare the rest of the ingredients as listed.

Pressure Cook Bone Soup: Place 4 pieces (1045g) of parboiled pork bones, 700g chopped carrots, 525g chopped corn on cob, 1 (5g) thin slice of ginger, 2 (33g) dried dates, 1 small piece of chenpi, and 6 ½ cups of cold water in the pressure cooker. Do not add any salt. Close the pressure cooker’s lid and pressure cook at High Pressure for 30 minutes + 15 minutes Natural Release. Turn off the heat. After 15 minutes, carefully turn the venting knob from sealing position to venting position to release the remaining pressure.

Seasoning: Carefully open the lid and heat up the pressure cooker to bring the soup back to a full boil. Let the soup boil for an extra 15 - 20 minutes. Add salt to taste. (Make sure to add in the salt slowly and keep tasting. Do not over season. For reference: We added roughly 1 ½ teaspoon of fine table salt.)

Serve: You can use an oil separator to separate the oil with the soup. Enjoy this healthy and delicious Chinese pork bone soup.

Pour the pork bone stock along with the bones into a soup pot and close the lid. Set the heat to medium-high.

While waiting for the stock and bones to heat up, cut the corn into 4 equal-length chunks. Wash, peel, and cut the potatoes and carrots into large pieces (about 1-inch wide).

When the stock begins to boil, add the corn, potatoes, and carrots, and cover the lid. After the stock boils again, lower the heat to low or medium-low to produce a low rolling boil.3 Cover and let cook for about 10-15 minutes until the potatoes and carrots become soft.

Turn off the heat and add the 1 teaspoon of kosher salt (or ½ teaspoon of table salt), mixing well. Add more salt to taste.
