This recipe for the Easy Instant Pot Cabbage is so easy and delicious. Cooked cabbage makes a great healthy side dish that can be served with so many things.

Easiest Instant Pot Cabbage (3 Ingredients)

green cabbage, chopped roughly

oregano thyme

vegetable broth

salt and pepper,

Combine the cabbage, dried herbs, and broth to the bowl of an 6-quart or 8-quart electric pressure cooker.

Lock the lid and set the time to 4 minutes at high pressure.

When the cooking time is complete, carefully use the quick-release to get rid of the pressure. Remove the lid and use tongs to remove the cabbage to a serving bowl. Season with salt and pepper, if desired. 

Serve hot and refrigerate or freeze any leftovers.

This is one of my favorite easy Instant Pot recipes!

I cut the cabbage into thick wedges and set for 5 min. It came out very mushy so next time I'll have to reduce the time even more. It tasted good, just not the consistency I like in cabbage.

Pressure Cooker Cooked Cabbage

Super easy way to cooking Butter Garlic Instant Pot Cabbage (Pressure Cooker Cabbage)! Tender-crisp cabbage wedges packed with tasty flavors. A super simple, nutrient-packed vegetable side dish for a deliciously healthy meal.

Instant Pot Cabbage

(~4lbs) cabbage (,

(500 milliliters) unsalted chicken stock

(25 grams) garlic cloves (, crushed)

unsalted butter

salt

½ teaspoon (0.7 grams) dried thyme

Pressure Cook Cabbage: Add 3 tbsp (45g) unsalted butter, 8 garlic cloves, ½ tsp (0.7g) dried thyme, and 1 tsp (6.5g) fine salt to Instant Pot. Pour in 2 cups (500ml) unsalted chicken stock, then give it a quick mix. Add in cabbage wedges (ensure they are all partially submerged in the cooking liquid). With Venting Knob in Venting Position, close the lid, then turn Venting Knob to Sealing Position. Pressure Cook at High Pressure 3 minutes (tender with some crisp) to 6 minutes (tender) + Quick Release. *Pro Tip: the optimal pressure cooking time will depend on the size of your cabbage. Open the lid carefully.

Serve Instant Pot Cabbage: Taste the cabbages and ensure they are fully cooked. Add more seasoning if necessary. *Pro Tip: If you want more tender cabbages, use &quot;Saute&quot; function to cook it some more.

Instant Pot Buttered Cabbage

Chicken Stock/Broth

White Truffle Salt

tsp Whole Nutmeg ((scraped using microplane))

Freshly Ground Black Pepper

Green Cabbage (rough chopped)

Tablespoons Butter ((or more))

Add chicken broth to Instant Pot cooking pot.

Add salt and pepper and whisk together.

Use a stainless steel microplane and grate the nutmeg into the cooking pot.

Rough chop the cabbage and place into Instant Pot. The pot will be quite full, which is fine.

Slice butter and add on top of cabbage.

Lock on lid and close pressure valve. Cook at high pressure (most machines default to high pressure) for 1 minute.

When beep sounds, wait 2-4 minutes (depending on how soft you want the cabbage) and then switch the pressure valve to open and release the rest of the pressure.

There will be some liquid in the bottom. Mix the buttery liquid with the cabbage together.

Taste the cabbage and add more salt and pepper, if needed. I like to grind on a little pink Himalayan salt.

Serve using a slotted spoon.
