Instant Pot Korean Ribs

(~2lbs) baby back ribs

(370 grams) Asian pear (, peeled & finely grated)

(37 grams) whole garlic (, minced)

(104 grams) small onion (, minced)

½ teaspoon (1 grams) ginger (, minced)

(2.3 grams) black pepper

(125 milliliters) regular soy sauce

(42 grams) honey

(25 grams) brown sugar

(30 milliliters) unseasoned rice vinegar

(30 milliliters) sesame oil

Make Kalbi Marinade: Cut 1 (104g) small onion, and 1 (370g) peeled Asian pear into smaller pieces. Process 1 (37g) whole garlic, onion pieces, ½ teaspoon (1g) ginger, and Asian pear pieces in a food processor to a fine paste. Or you can mince these ingredients.In a small mixing bowl, mix ½ cup (125ml) regular soy sauce, 2 tbsp (42g) honey, 1 tsp (2.3g) freshly ground black pepper, 2 tbsp (25g) brown sugar, 2 tbsp (30ml) rice vinegar, 2 tbsp (30ml) sesame oil and the above processed onion paste together.

Marinate Baby Back Ribs: Remove the membrane from baby back ribs (See Video). Place ribs and kalbi marinade in a large Ziploc bag. Partially close the bag and squeeze out the air in the bag. Close Ziploc bag, then marinate ribs in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. *Pro Tip: Optimal marinating time for baby back ribs is 6 – 8 hours.

Pressure Cook Baby Back Ribs: Pour everything in the Ziploc bag into Instant Pot Pressure Cooker. With Venting Knob in Venting Position, close the lid, then turn Venting Knob to Sealing Position. Pressure cook at High Pressure for 16 – 25 minutes + Full Natural Release.*Pro Tip: Adjust the cooking timing according to your preference: 16 minutes (Tender with a bit of chew) to 25 minutes (Fall off the bone). After full natural release, release the remaining pressure by turning Venting Knob to Venting Position. When Floating Valve drops, open the lid carefully. Turn off heat.

Preheat Oven: While the Instant Pot is naturally releasing pressure. Preheat oven to 450°F.

Reduce Kalbi Sauce and Finish in Oven: Reduce sauce over medium heat for roughly 5 minutes (Instant Pot: press &quot;Sauté&quot; button). Taste and season kalbi sauce with more freshly ground black pepper if necessary. Generously brush kalbi sauce on all sides of baby back ribs with a silicone basting brush. Place ribs in the oven for 4 – 8 minutes per side until caramelized.

Serve: Remove Instant Pot Korean Ribs from oven. Garnish with finely sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds. You can serve the remaining sauce as a dipping sauce for extra blast of flavors. Enjoy~ :)

Pressure Cooker Korean Ribs

These Pressure Cooker Ribs (Instant Pot Ribs) are fall off the bone tender and cooked in 30 minutes! Seasoned with a simple dry rub and then smothered in BBQ sauce. These BBQ ribs are quick, easy and delicious!

Best Instant Pot Baby Back Ribs Recipe

brown sugar

In a small bowl, mix the spice rub ingredients.

Rinse ribs and pat dry with paper towels. Remove the membrane on the back of the ribs.

Season the baby back ribs generously on both sides with the spice rub.

Place the trivet (or pressure cooker rack) in the bottom of your pressure cooker. Add the juice and the apple cider vinegar.

Place the ribs inside the pressure cooker, standing up and wrapping around the pot. Close the lid and pressure cook on high for 23 minutes (25 if the ribs are meaty). 

Once done, allow the instant pot to naturally release for 5 minutes, then open the valve to release the remaining pressure.

While the ribs are cooking, prepare the BBQ sauce. Place all the ingredients (except the ribs cooking liquid) in a small saucepan and stir to combine. Simmer on low heat for about 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. When the ribs are done, remove 1/4 cup of the cooking liquid and add it to the sauce. Stir and simmer on low for an additional 5 minutes.

Remove the ribs from the pressure cooker and place them on an aluminum foil lined baking sheet. Brush them generously with the BBQ sauce (on both sides), and place them under the broiler for about 5 minutes or until slightly charred. Serve with the remaining BBQ sauce.

Instant Pot Beef Back Ribs are the most succulent fall-off-the-bone ribs. With this recipe, we bring a small taste of the Caribbean by coating it with a Homemade Mango BBQ Jerk Sauce.

Instant Pot Beef Back Ribs With Caribbean Mango BBQ Jerk Sauce

lbs. beef rib rack

orange juice

salt and pepper

tbsp cumin seeds (or ground cumin)

tbsp chili powder

tbsp dijon mustard

honey (or 1/4 cup sugar is fine)

garlic

mango (ripe)

tbsp garlic (minced)

cinnamon

tbsp black peppercorn

tbsp ground ginger (or fresh ginger will work)

parsley (fresh)

tomato sauce

tsp kosher salt

honey

tbsp molasses

tbsp liquid smoke

tbsp thyme (fresh)

olive oil

Wash and pat dry the ribs. Then, place the ribs in the instant pot.

Season with salt and pepper.

In a separte bowl, combine the orange juice, cumin, honey, apple cider, garlic, chili powder, and dijon mustard. Mix well and pour over the meat. Coat well and cover. Marinate for 30 minutes or longer.

Close the instant pot with the cover and turn the knob to sealing.

Click on Meat/Stew button. Cook for 40 minutes on high. Then quick release once cooked.

Remove the meat and place the ribs on a baking sheet. Coat with the BBQ sauce and broil for a couple of minutes to seal in the sauce. Serve warm with your choice of side. Enjoy.

Pressure Cook Baby Back Ribs: Pour the homemade BBQ sauce into the pressure cooker. Add 2 – 3 drops of liquid smoke into the BBQ sauce. Place the baby back ribs into the BBQ sauce (see tips). *Pro Tip: If your Instant Pot is very sensitive to the &quot;Burn Error&quot;, layer the Ketchup &amp; Dijon mustard on top of the Ribs instead of mixing it into the BBQ sauce.Close lid and Pressure Cook at High Pressure for 16 – 25 minutes. Turn off the heat and Full Natural Release. Open the lid carefully.*Pro Tip: Adjust your cooking time according to your preference: 16 minutes (tender with a bit of chew) to 25 minutes (fall off the bone).

Preheat Oven: While the baby back ribs is cooking in the pressure cooker, preheat the oven to 450°F.

Set Aside Baby Back Ribs: Carefully place the pressure cooked baby back ribs on a chopping board with kitchen tongs. Cover it with aluminum foil and set aside.

Filter the Fat (Optional Step): Filter the BBQ sauce with a strainer and remove the fat with an oil separator.

Reduce BBQ sauce: Place roughly chopped carrots into the BBQ sauce and bring your BBQ sauce to a simmer (Instant Pot: Press Sauté button once, then Adjust button to Saute Less Function).Continue to reduce and thicken the BBQ sauce by simmering until desired thickness (~6 - 8 mins). Occasionally, stir with a wooden spoon. Taste the seasoning of the BBQ sauce. Stir in more brown sugar and additional 1 – 2 drops of liquid smoke if necessary.

Apply Sauce and Finish in Oven or Grill: Brush the homemade BBQ sauce all over the baby back ribs on all sides including the bones with a silicone basting brush. Place the baby back ribs in the oven on the top rack for 10 – 15 minutes.

Serve and Enjoy: Serve the baby back ribs immediately with more homemade BBQ sauce along with the carrots.

Finger-Licking Pressure Cooker BBQ Ribs

These juicy Instant Pot Country Style Pork Ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender with a sweet, spicy and savory gravy made with pineapple juice. 

Instant Pot Country Style Pork Ribs

(8 oz) crushed

Worcestershire sauce (or

10–14 boneless country-style pork ribs (about 3 1/2 to 4 pounds)

Worcestershire Pepper Blend OR black pepper

For the sauce, combine the pineapple with the...

For the sauce, combine the pineapple with the juice, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, minced onion, dry mustard, ginger, and cayenne pepper in a medium bowl, stirring until well mixed. Taste and adjust seasoning. Set the sauce aside.

Who cares what the weather is doing out there. You can make smokey, tender, juicy, meaty Instant Pot Baby Back Ribs indoors, in any weather, in about an hour!

Instant Pot Baby Back Ribs

Water ((or Apple Juice/Cider))

2-3 Tbsp. Liquid Smoke ((goes right in the water))

Apple Cider Vinegar ((adds a nice hint of apple and tanginess))

Dry Spice Rub (Use your favorite,

BBQ Sauce (I like to use one with a smoky flavor.)

Put a trivet in the inner liner pot of your pot. Add the water or juice, liquid smoke, and ACV to the inner liner pot.

Prepare the Instant Pot

Lay out the rack of ribs, meaty side down, on a baking sheet. Remove the thin membrane (also called silver skin, if it's still on there) by grasping it with your bare hands, or a paper towel, and pulling down the length of the rack. It should come off pretty easily.

Sprinkle dry spice rub liberally over the ribs and gently rub it in. Flip the rack over and do the same to the other side.

Carefully roll the rack into a "C" shape and put it in the pot sideways (the meaty side will face the outside of the pot. You can also cut the rack into a few pieces and stack it in the pot.

Put the lid on the pot and close it, turning the venting knob to the Sealing position.

Press the Pressure Cook (Manual) button or dial, and then the +/- button or dial to choose 25 minutes.

The pot will take a few minutes to come to pressure, and will begin the cook time when pressure is reached. After cook time ends, and the unit beeps, just leave it alone as it will enter the NPR, or Natural Pressure Release phase. The display time will begin counting up.

Let it NPR for 10 minutes. Then use a wood spoon or something to carefully turn the knob to venting and release the rest of the pressure until the pin in the lid drops, indicating it is safe to open the lid.

Remove the rack of ribs using tongs, and place on a baking sheet.

OPTIONAL: Turn your oven to BROIL at 400° and set the oven rack about 8-10 inches from element. If it is hot in the kitchen I don't do this step, but on a cool day I don't mind the oven being on for a few minutes.

Pour your BBQ sauce on the hot ribs and use a brush or a spatula to cover them completely and generously.

Put the pan under the broiler for a few minutes, until the sauce gets bubbly. Be careful not to leave them in there too long as they might dry out. No one wants dry ribs! Enjoy!

Place trivet in the pressure cooker. Pour in apple juice into the bottom of the inner pot. Add liquid smoke. Roll ribs in a circle and place on the trivet in the pressure cooker. Place lid on the pressure cooker and be sure the vent knob is pointed towards sealed.

Pressure Cook

Cook ribs on High Pressure. For Baby Back Ribs set cook time to 25 minutes. For Spare Ribs set cook time for 35 minutes. To set cook time, hit manual or pressure cook and use +/- buttons to adjust cook time.

Let Pressure Release

Once cook time has elapsed, allow pressure to release naturally for at least 15 minutes.

Broil Ribs

Optional Step:&nbsp;Place cooked ribs on sheet/broiler&nbsp; pan.&nbsp;Brush with your favorite barbecue sauce.&nbsp;Broil under high heat for 3-4 minutes.&nbsp;Flip, brush with more BBQ sauce and broil for 3-4 minutes on other side.
