Protein Mousse Recipe

cottage cheese

chocolate whey protein powder

espresso powder (optional)

heavy whipping cream

tbsp powdered sweetener

cocoa powder

tsp vanilla extract

In a blender or food process, combine the cottage cheese, chocolate protein powder, and espresso powder. Blend until smooth.

In a large bowl, combine the heavy cream, sweetener, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract. Beat together until the cream holds stiff peaks.

Add the cottage cheese mixture to the whipped cream, gently folding together to avoid deflating the peaks as much as possible.

Divide the mixture between 4 dessert glasses and chill until it firms up, 1 to 2 hours.

This looks great!!  Can I use Equip brand protein powder to make this?

Hi Caroline I have a couple questions.  Can I use chocolate collagen protein instead of the whey?   And can I substitute stevia for the erythritol as my gut issues cannot handle erythritol?  Thank you so much for all of your great recipes!  Happy healthy New Year to you and yours.

Hi Carolyn! I searched “Whey Protein” on your site and this recipe popped up. I was kinda freaked out because when I was reading the brilliant ingredients, it wasn’t 12/29/24 yet, which is your publishing date so I thought fate was showing me this recipe ahead of time. I have so many ideas for this protein mousse, I cannot wait to try it!!!

This chocolate protein pudding is creamy, perfectly sweet and packs over 20 grams of protein per serving. Made with greek yogurt, protein powder and sweetened with maple syrup for a simple and healthy dessert or snack.

Chocolate Protein Pudding

greek yogurt (see notes)

chocolate protein powder

milk (dairy

maple syrup (more or less to taste)

add to bowl

Add all ingredients to a bowl. Start with 1 tablespoon of cocoa and milk, and add more to make it more chocolatey or thin it out.

whisk

Whisk together until completely smooth and no lumps remain.

taste

Taste and adjust flavors as desired. Add more milk to thin it out or more protein powder to thicken it up.

serve

Serve as is or with whipped cream and fresh berries.

We've been making this (minus the milk) for a couple months now, and just eating it whenever we want chocolate pudding and/or extra protein.

It is fantastic. Highly recommended. I put some in individual sized graham cracker crust tins to take to Thanksgiving!

Omg! This chocolate pudding was soooo good. Thank you for sharing, I doubled it cause I love chocolate.

It tasted like it needed a drop of vanilla.   Pretty good.
